I want to get rid of the AT&T updating process and their branding on the phone entirely. I am running MJ5 4.3 JB, and from what I was able to do with my S4, I can flash an international version without the branding. Is this correct with the note 3?
no you cant the boot loader is locked. youre stuck with the at&t
Hello I need to update only the boot loader as I am on Tmobile now and use safestrap. I would like to put a tmo lollipop ROM on my phone but the boot loader is 4.4.2 and my baseband is G900AUCU1ANCE . any help would be great. I no longer have att so I can't do an ota update to fix this
Thanks
Just use the muniz_ri upgrade thread. Regardless of what service you use you have an att model and is only compatible with att software, you can run other model's roms(im running a tmo lollipop rom now) just as long as it doesnt use incompatible firmware.

Hi, I'm coming to you guys with another question. Being that we cannot downgrade the S6 edge from 5.1.1 would it be possible to flash the International variant firmware onto G925A? I'm trying to possibly get root and and flash a new rom but it's not looking likely anytime soon.
no no no
I have just got a pre-owned Tab S2 T817W which is a Canadian version from Bell Canada.
It has been unlocked and I can put in another carrier's SIM card and use it.
However, it is in stock 5.1.1 stock ROM and I want to upgrade to the latest Marshmallow.
My questions are:
1) If I flash the latest ROM from Bell for this T817W, will the ROM lock it back to Bell only?
2) Can I flash other carrier's ROM, eg T817A (for ATT) T817V (for Verizon) etc?
3) Do I need to root it before upgrading if i want to have root in Marshmallow?
(EDITed: I found the answers to the questions myself. I was able to download a Marshmallow firmware for Canada instead for Carrier specific from Sammobile. Everything works as I have wished for, it is still unlocked, fingerprint detection works better and the tab even runs faster.)
Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've done rooted or flashed any phones, but right now I have my Galaxy S9, and I want to flash the firmware to one that is unlocked. Right now it's locked to T-Mobile.
Is there any guide on here that can help me? What firmware/ROM should I use?
Thanks!
Tom
Get the latest U1 firmware from SamMobile and use a Patched Odin to flash it. Assuming you're on Snapdragon we have no way to unlock the bootloader or root. The only reason I flashed U1 Firmware was to get the Samsung Caller ID & Spam Protection that piece of **** Verizon blocks to try to get you to pay for theirs.
