Hello,
Sammobile lists two firmwares for N910T
2016-10-25, N910TUVU2EPJ2
2016-10-24, N910TUVS2EPG2
Any idea what is the difference between the two and which one is the latest for N910T?
Thanks

Well if you know your alphabet, you have the answer...
Can't believe they released an update in a day. Is one these a T3 version?

Both are for the original N910T version. These updates were not released one day after another. The listing date that appears in samfirmware I suppose is the date the file was uploaded to their servers. If you click them, you will see the true build date for each update. EPG2 was built and released July 2016 and EPJ2 was build and released October 2016.
I believe that the 9.7" version of the Tab S2 already got its Android 7.x (Nougat) update. Will the 8.0 (SM-T710) version ever get this, too, or has Samsung just abandoned this tablet and we're out of luck?
--Ron
we should get it soon... wasn't aware the 9.7 got it already but after getting it last week on my s7 i want it on my tablet now...
No Tab S2 has gotten the Nougat update yet. It is scheduled for late April or Mid-May. Believing is not knowing.
I don't think it will get N, Samsung usually only provide one GEN update to each devices.
Our S2 already had L>M, so............
Bullsh**

Seems as you can install t810 manually. Region listed as germany. Looks it doesn't matter. I gonna likely flash it. Let me know if somebody gonna flash it too

Surprised the t813 wasn't listed on that site

It is - edit the URL to say 813 instead of 810: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-T813
Thanks. I searched but didn't find it. Alas no Nougat update listed
Nougat for T-810 is officially out: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/general/7-0-sm-t810-manual-install-t3585044
Looks like the T710 is getting updated too. https://plus.google.com/+DavidIwantschak/posts/ZkAMV45EpqH
In that case the t813 should definitely get it too!

We should, but the 813 is a Snapdragon based tablet, not Exynos, so the 710 getting it is no guarantee. However, I find it hard to imagine that they would update the older tablet and not the newer one.

Ups. Forgot that.
Here if the link for the Android N update download.
Sammobile has posted a number of regional T700 firmwares in the recent few weeks. The firmware patch level is from summer 2017, but it was built this summer. Bizarre, isn't it? Very un-samsung-like to release an update to four year old tablet. However, if they do release an update why not use the most recent Marshmallow AOSP codebase (I believe from r81 from October 2017) instead of summer of 2017?
Anyways, if this is not a hoax, I hope the T800 version would be coming some time as well.

Please see my thread XDA below - I thought I saw something a couple of weeks ago for my T805W but I am rooted so I can't check from my tablet. Perhaps someone who is not rooted can check.

I got my T800 Updated this morning. It was a France model and the version of the update is T800XXU1CRH1 dated august 2018 with august 2017 security.
The update says it was for the european GDPR law. So maybe just the euro models will be updated.
Got the update too. Confirm it says it is for GDPR. A whole update only for this? OK the security update is there, but they never bothered to keep it updated in that sense

Oh, that's disappointing. This means that these updates won't extend beyond Europe. Sammobile shows now that there is also an update for T800 (France only so far). I guess Samsung won't do a real miracle for our tablets, as in providing an up to date security patch level.
A new firmware was now also published for the T705 (TGY = Hongkong):

Best, maris

Thx for the info..the update is still on 6.0
Anyone know if its worth upgrading to and the noticable benefits? Thx
I have upgraded with the new TGY firmware. Security patch level is still February 2017, and I cannot see any visible changes. So I cannot report any noticable benefits yet.
Best, maris

Just got a prompt for an update on my 5 year Samsung sm-t800 in th UK. Its 253mb and I guess there is no improvement just a load of help files and data protection warnings in the os I guess. Does anyone know what is exactly in it..?
Heard a very strange 'ding' from my T800 (U.S WiFi only model) just now, and sure enough a new software update window was on the screen. At first I was thinking it was a 'fake' splash page since I had Chrome open, but alas it was not.
Firmware T800XAR1CRI5 @14.89MB.
Their last update was over a year and a half ago for this tablet, and it seems they are releasing an patch every year or so. (v6.01 09/2016, then patch 6.01 4/2017, and now patch 6.01 11/2018). So this original Tab S 10.5 is almost 5 years old and still getting security patches each year.
Also, I'm a bit baffled since I had 'Scheduled Software Updates' set to 'Off' and it still got it.

According to Sammobile, the Security Patch level of this firmware is only 2016-11-01. So, either this update is for something other than security patches, or Samsung does not report the patch level correctly. If the patch level is truly only at 2016-11-01 level, then this update does not address some of the famous security problems from recent times, such as the KRACK or Spectre. So I won't be pulling this firmware because my ROM is already modified, but I might use the new ROM if I decide to start from fresh setup.
Just got a notification for the US version on t-700. I'll flash in the morning. If I notice anything meaningful, I'll report back here.
Before and after, for your comparison. Kernel was updated, and SE as well. I'm guessing patching vulnerabilities there.

Even worse for me, it installed itself without my permission overnight without even a prompt. I don't have updates on just like you.
I notice the kernel version has a new date but is exactly the same version and build.
Seems strange that Samsung would push an update to such an old tablet. Hopefully they aren't trying to drum up sales for the S4 by breaking something.
Good day all! I was recently given an A8+ 2018 with a A730FXXU3BRK3 variant model. The last update was the one with November 2018 Security patch and whenever i try to check for updates online it says im on the latest. I know there's a Dec-Jan update. Help guys im lagging behind, i may not also get the Android Pie update

First thing Android pie update will takes months to get it.
They seem to do Russia first to test so be patient it going to take a while to get it.
Samsung is going to be slow on this one.
Just to clarify, does A8+ have a Dec-Jan security patch update? Because i badly need that. I've been hitting the check update option on settings and it says I'm on the latest which is November.
I am currently using the 16-72-14-2 version (security patch December) with the RETEU firmware.
Are there any January security patches?
I don't think it's on the firmware site (mirrors.lolinet.com) and the moto update tracker yet.
Edge 30 (not ultra) RETKR version was recently released in January, but it's not on the firmware site, so I'm asking.
