Depzai,
Please be more specific, type out entire or post photo of TWRP log people can see the error in full and help you the best we can.
For the time being try this. Do an ext4 format in TWRP, then wipe /data /internal storage /dalvikART /cache - be sure you do this or else you will not be able to boot due to Samsung's encryption. Flash rooted rom provided by Travis via TWRP. After flashing rooted rom, do not reboot, proceed to flash HKernel provided by Travis. Wipe /dalvik and reboot. It will take a couple of minutes for the whole thing to reboot - let your phone sit and do its thing. Check your kernel and build# under settings and post back with results.
I know for a fact what Travis provided works, since hes fixed TWRP and the HKernel for the SCV33 variant recently.

Great Perfect Wonderful before after root my phone running lag unstable. After i flashed rom from travis82 have a root and TWRP. I removed all apps from AU.My phone have running smooth burt have still errors and limited from carrier AU and Japan phone.Like exsample : " the front camera after capture picture have a black , When make a call always popup "Call without country code ; Call to (JPN) if you want make a call you have must choose Call without country code ".....

change apn settings seems to be your issue or re-flash your csc with odin. I can't guarantee the jap versions will be 100% perfect, if you want this, someone needs to donate me a s7 edge docomo.

Alibabahp,
Try and do as Travis has stated, if no luck.
Redo your install. Not sure how you got these errors. My front cam works as it should, and all calls out of JPN and in JPN work with country codes.

Alibabahp,
Sorry - please clarify.
As you've mentioned from other post.
Using SCV33 Rom/HKernel provided in this post.
1. Lose WiFi/Cellular Data capabilities, such as calling?
2. Front camera is not working properly? Using front camera you only see a black screen?

I'll get twrp updated for the other 2 variants this weekend also.

First I installed TWRP via ODIN
Then I installed the SU from the memory card
I rebooted the phone, no internet and no cellular network
I read somewhere that needed another kernel I installed what is in the link of this post
In log appeared error messages: could not mount ... (I forgot the characters here sorry ) but in the end appeared sucess
I just installed and restarted, message on display: KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL
Stopped in the galaxy logo
I read more posts that I needed to do wipe
Dalvik / ART Cashe and Cache
But messaging appeared: Failed (same as above process)
So I decided to use the FORMAT DAT option
The phone started again and all functions ok.
Now comes the bad part
Wanted to see what the error that appeared in the log
But this time there is no error
But in rebbot the message appears: NO OS INSTALLED
And now how do I solve this? please :crying:
Sorry bad english

twrp via odin, boot twrp and format data, install kernel, done

Performed but does not start
Always returns to TWRP

what about previous kernel? Odd some are saying no problem, some are saying errors, how do I know what is what when I do not have the device in my physical possession?
If you all seriously want support like on SM-G9350 I really do need the device to run debugs and get kernel logs so I can do fast builds to troubleshoot. It's very difficult building blindly ya know? So as of now I will not update the Doco variants any longer until I am able to have a hands on experience with it. Sorry about that but I think its best for now.

Dear @travis82 can you port your room SM-G9350 for S7 edge Japan?Or can you upload only system.zip of you i will try update my phone. Thanks so much.

no more docomo updates until I get a docomo somehow someway, its too difficult to know rom error or user error since i do not have the device.

I think I deleted the OS somehow
So I installed the rooted room and the kernel beta 2
Everything works but with a lot of lag
Should I Try Another Version Of The Kernel?
Please do not abandon this version
Only you are giving support
Updating
After installation of Rooted Rom the device was showing a lot of lag
I uninstalled the apps that did not interest me and I rebooted the device by entering TWRP
I reinstalled Kernel Beta 2, after the installation I clicked the option WIPE CACHE / DALVIK, after complete reboot
On restart it appeared the message ANDROID IS OPTIMIZING APPS
After this the system became perfect without lag
Everything running internet, cel calls ... and root
its great , I am very happy

Hi everyone,
This ROM is great. every things are working well.
But I don't know how to change the "Right hard key's function. I don't want it show the "recent apps" when we press.
It should be a menu key when we using App.
Please support!
Thanks,

no root after flashign WizCyan
After flashing WizCyan 4 with update 1 I don't have root access. I've tried reinstalling several times and I've also tried to install superSU on it's own using CWM, both the latest version and older versions, with no success. I've also tried to install just v4 but the problem persists. Does anybody have any clue on what could be wrong? I've had root on the phone using other ROMs. I use the latest CWM.
And yes, I chose no when promted to fix superuser in CWM. Although I have also tried to pres yes during one installation.
What version of cwm are you having? Also when you click on the supersu app what message do you get?
I used version 6.0.3.5. Today I installed 6.0.5 and redid the flashing of the update and also of superSU 2.16 by it self from CWM. No difference
When i press the superSU app I dont get any message really. Looking at the log it's as if though the app denies all apps access without asking. I tried changing the settings in superSU to allow all requests and then the phone passed the check with root checker and root apps also seem to work. No app is added to the SuperSu applist.

I would suggest that you do a clean install of the ROM, now that your recovery has been updated
Excessive consumption of battery
Sorry, but this was translated by google.
I found a big problem in version 4 and is the battery, prior to this version, the battery works well, the battery lasted the whole day, but now the battery hopefully enduring three hours.
Please, give solution to this problem or any suggestions, as I really like this ROM and do not want to change the other.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, did some testing and found that some of the init.d scripts were eating battery therefore have posted an update in the OP removing these and battery consumption should be better after flashing this update.

Sure, you can install on any firmware, but if you have wifi issues then you may need to flash modem or some other workaround. Just wipe data/factory reset and install version 04 followed by update 02. I am not sure on what you mean by memory but presume that you are referring to internal sd card. This will depend on what apps/features you install from the addon package and playstore. The ROM will not affect your internal sdcard space as it will be installed on the reserved system space.

In case you want to use screen mirroring then you would need to install allshare from the addon package
I've been tinkering with trying to get WizCyan totally working on my device for a couple of days, but I can't for the life of me get Wifi working (at first it was root access, but that was fixed by upgrading CWM). Here is the exact process I've followed:
Updated CWM to 6.0.5 (PhilZ's version)
Did a factory reset from recovery (I didn't use the "Clean to install new ROM" function)
Installed WizCyan version 4, followed by update 2
Rebooted, attempted to configure WiFi -- failed.
Flashed the NE5 modem package from the links in the dev thread, using Odin 3.07 -- twice each, as instructed
Still can't get my Wifi to enable. The flash was successful, as I can see the correct baseband on the "about" screen, but it refuses to enable. I'm in Australia, but I believe this phone came from UAE -- would that make a difference to the way the modem interacts with the Wifi hardware? I pulled this info from logcat:
Code:
I/WifiManager( 1084): setWifiEnabled : true
I/WifiService( 882): setWifiEnabled: true pid=1084, uid=10008
E/WifiHW ( 882): ##################### set firmware type 0 #####################
E/WifiHW ( 882): Cannot open "/data/.cid.info": No such file or directory
E/WifiHW ( 882): ==========[WIFI] Station firmware load ===========
E/WifiHW ( 882): return of insmod : ret = -1, Exec format error
E/WifiStateMachine( 882): Failed to load driver
E/WifiStateMachine( 882): sendErrorBroadcast code:10
E/WifiController( 882): Wi-Fi driver is unstable. Received CMD_STATEMACHINE_RESET
In the mean time, I'm going to try to source either a local radio, or one from the original region, to see if that helps.

Can't get anything much from the logcat, it refers to a file that gets created on 1st boot you can try doing a factory reset from settings--> backup & restore--> factory data reset. Only backup your internal sd card before doing this as it will wipe your entire phone including internal sdcard and then reflash the modem.

Well if I'm going to go that far, I may as well do it properly and completely restore the phone to stock and start again. When I bought it, the first thing I did was root, flash CWM and a CM based ROM -- it's probably worth starting fresh anyway, I'm only going to be using it for a couple more weeks until it's replacement arrives.
I'm currently downloading the latest firmware for my region (XSA), a 4.2.2 based MK3 build from the end of last year -- do you think I'd have better chances if I restored to a 4.4.2 build (like NE5), or should it not matter if I completely reset the phone to factory settings/software?

Generally doing a factory reset from the phone resets the entire firmware and is helpfull to resolve such issues. if you want to install the entire firmware, I would recommend flashing the 4.4.2 PHN firmware you can get the download link in post# 13. But then there were wifi issues after flashing the PHN firmware for which a factory reset from the phone happened to be the solution.

Thanks for that mention of the firmware, I had the radio from that link but forgot you'd also linked the full package. Google Drive is much faster than the websites I'd been trying to get files from, it took 15 hours to download the XSA firmware I was originally going to use.
You were totally correct, resetting the phone was the solution. I got the PHN firmware, flashed it via ODIN only to find it still hadn't fixed the WiFi problem -- even after a factory reset -- however the process of flash/reset/re-flash fixed it for me -- it seems unnecessary to me, but I guess times have changed since I last tinkered with unlocked devices. I'm happy to say that I now have WiFi working under WizCyan now, just wanted to check back in just in case anybody else was facing similar issues. As painful as it is to have to back up and totally restore, sometimes starting completely fresh is the best solution.
Now I'm off to rebuild my SD Card, lol.

Glad to know that you managed to get the wifi working.
Personally, I did not face the wifi issue after flashing PHN firmware, but know that quite a few have faced this issue as reported in this thread
Normally my understanding and experience is that when you flash different modems / firmware some corruption occurs and factory reset from within the phone resets the partition & firmware. 1st time I experienced this was when I was using a MTK 6575 based device and had amended the EBR, MBR and scatter files to modify the partition sizes, even though these were flashed through mobiuncle tools (similar to odin), the revised partitions did not get changed until I did a factory reset from within the phone. I know that this is irrelevant here but thought that I would share this.

Fantastic! Finally we've got a rom of our very own, for which you've got my immense thanks. I'm very much looking forward to trying it out.
Unfortunately when I flashed it there was a loooong wait on the Samsung logo, and then... Well, after an hour I booted back to recovery to start over.
I honestly don't think your rom was the problem though, because from some point last night everything I tried - custom rom flashing and nandroid backup restores - wound up the same way. Odin + stock + root got a usable system at least, and today's been too busy to try again. But when I do I'll post back about how it goes.
(Sadly, I can't go back in time to see what order I did things and look for a pattern if this happens again. In case it might be useful to anyone, I know for sure I'd gotten stock set up comfortably and made a complete backup before giving thunderoar's T113 kernel a whirl, and that went swimmingly. Even had mounts2sd properly recognizing external sd set up after a long struggle, though not actually enabled yet. Don't know what else i did between making that backup and trying to flash this, but it's likely I just screwed something up somehow.)

Upgrade your firmware to PH5 before flash and use TWRP 3.0.2-0.
Firmware: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-T113

Thanks so much for responding even though I didn't specifically ask.
Pretty much all my knowledge comes from following instructions in these forums and piecing little bits of information together, so I've got a few questions - trying to understand the "why" behind these things in order to be more self-sufficient. Please feel free to point me towards resources where I can learn more!

When you install a rom, especially a TW one, in most case you need a specific Bootloader to cause it to start and work smoothly.
Wikipedia:
A boot loader is a computer program that loads an operating system or some other system software for the computer after completion of the power-on self-tests; it is the loader for the operating system itself. Within the hard reboot process, it runs after completion of the self-tests, then loads and runs the software. A boot loader is loaded into main memory from persistent memory, such as a hard disk drive or, in some older computers, from a medium such as punched cards, punched tape, or magnetic tape. The boot loader then loads and executes the processes that finalize the boot. Like POST processes, the boot loader code comes from a "hard-wired" and persistent location; if that location is too limited for some reason, that primary boot loader calls a second-stage boot loader or a secondary program loader.
The bootloader runs your rom with specific instructions, if the rom does not support an older bootloader simply does not boot. My rom does not support the older bootloader. A zip flash in this case cannot upgrade a delicate part like the bootloader. You need to flash the newer one with Odin.

The latest update for your country is PA5. Try with THIS.
Your country code is XAC.
The CSC (Sale Country Code) Is that part of the firmware that contains all the telephone operator customizations (e.g. WAP, MMS) for the intended country. As far as i know, It is not important for us.

Life has gotten in the way of playing around with this, but thought I'd send you an update as I said I would...
Your rom is running really nicely on my tablet as I use it daily. It's smooth and small, with no unexpected reboots or fc's on installed apps. Didn't wipe internal SD but it hasn't given me any issues with existing data (probably because there wasn't much to start with).
One thing that has caused a problem is calendar sync. It looks like you've taken out the actual syncing service, so when I try to access my calendars through any app I'm asked to add a new Google account, even though everything's already set up in "Accounts" under Settings. I haven't tried running the "calendars.providers.apk" from my other phone, that should fix the problem - but I don't want to use the wrong version and break something!
Also, I've confirmed that the only time I got mounts2sd working, it was with thunderoar's kernel. So guess that's going to have to wait.
A few adjustments I made to the setup were to uninstall all "unnecessary" system apps (not needed to run the device), and re-install them from the store. This way I've got 676mb free on /system and still over 1.5GB free on internal storage.
I've also added a multi-reboot menu to make getting into recovery or download mode simpler, and this is loading more quickly on your rom than stock. I've also had to modify permissions.xml to allow apps to access external storage by default, and made another tweak to disable the "loud volume warning" (don't remember quite what it was offhand).
Would you consider adding these to a future version?
Again, thanks SO much for putting this together, answering questions, and doing your thing. It's greatly appreciated!

One more question about this: The way you've worded the second paragraph seems to imply only that older bootloaders don't work with newer roms, so are newer bootloaders backwards compatible? Say I've got the PH5 bootloader installed and I want to restore a backup of the previous firmware, do I have to flash that firmware first?
Sorry if it seems obvious, this is how we learn!

T113/T113nu and T116/T116ny have a similar codename and hardware (The recovery have goyave codename, therefore any rom with goyave codename can be flashed). For the hotspot, maybe some missing libraries, a different driver or a different kernel makes hotspot broken. Try to restore your kernel from a previous backup.

Thanks I'll try this when I get to work.
I can't seem to unlock my bootloader, I'm unable to flash TWRP and enter the recovery. It just says Recovery mode -> Warranty bit set: Recovery and enters into a normal boot after trying it a few times.
Edit:
used the official TWRP and recovery now works. Now trying to install the rom
Edit2:
When trying to install it keeps giving me the following error:
This package is for "SC-02h,hero2qledcm" devices; this is a "hero2qltedcm"
Update process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/TWRP/SC-02H_Debloated.zip'
Edit3:
I edited the update-script and removed the assert.
However I don't notice any changes in the rom itself. It still has some bloatware (docomo stuff)
ahh ok i thought it would use sco2h not dcm I can fix that sorry, and I assume twrp is doing the same. I will use a dcm kernel in twrp, let me know if that kernel boots please I dont have the device in hand so I am relying on you all to let me know.
USE crom.apk to unlock bootloader you should find it in galaxy apps store. I'm pretty sure others have unlocked their bootloader doing the same thing. I also used to have someone install my hkroms and kernels on the jap variant so I know you can unlock the bootloader.
CROM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224394932
can you unlock the bootloader with that, its a link to what we used to unlock ours.
I need you to unlock your bootloader first please. Sounds like that is the issue.
If I run that app it just exits with Crom Service has stopped working.
Your rom works fine, it has root which is what I needed the most.
Just wish there was a way to remove the sim lock from the device without having to beg Docomo.
I bet I have my asserts all messed up here man I'm sorry. I see SC-02H than hero2qltedcm, than SM-G935D soo I need to get this in the correct order. Would you mind shooting me a pm so I can hangouts you so we can knocks this out quickly?
updated op with twrp recovery and kernel.
This works, root and most of the bloated software is gone
Off topic question (need some insight)
You have started to make a working TWRP for the Docomo variant - thank you for your work (hopefully people in JP using the Docomo version find success).
I know this is off topic but I thought you could provide me with a better understanding.
I am currently using the au KDDI variant (SCV33-Snapdragon) and have successfully installed TWRP (3.0.2-0) with ability to mount /data following xda, youtube, and a Vietnamese forum using google translate; BUT I am unable to keep TWRP ability to mount /data after flashing re-engineered boot file via odin to apply root (Snapdragon Variant Root). TWRP can still be used to go into recovery, mount /ext sdcard, and reboot. I've tried many different styles of rooting after and before installing TWRP, in addition to flashing in different ways - but I still failed. It's either have full working TWRP that can mount /data but without root; or, have root but TWRP that can't mount /data (basically useless as it cannot install anything nor, make backups).
I apologize for such long response, any insight or somewhere you can point me to where I can do more research, as this is how far I have come so far, but still fail to acquire both (Yes I have watched numerous YT vids and read countless post stating devs have not yet found a way on the US-Snapdragon variants, which I understand this may apply to the JP variant too) . Thank you.
With the development of ROMs for the Exynos variants (SG935F/FD) moving along apace... I'm wondering if it is feasible to use one of those ROMs with this kernel.
I did something similar to get a custom ROM made for an AT&T S4 onto my DoCoMo S4 (SC-04E) without issues.
Is that a stupid question?
SCV33 looks exactly the same as SC-02H. What's the difference? single sim dual sim? Can you use sc-02h roms for it? I need more information unless you guys want to start donating me devices.

You guys should never flash an engineering kernel anymore. There is no need since you have a custom kernel and ramdisk and twrp now since I made them. Also those are exynos not qualcomm you can port it but it will be a major task to do.

First, I really apprecate the work you have put in on bringing ROOT and TWRP to users in Japan. If I can help by doing some testing for you with my DoCoMo model, I'd be happy to do so!
Regarding my original question, I was not talking about an engineering kernel. I was thinking that if I flashed a custom ROM for the SG-935F Hong Kong (Exynos) model, and then flashed your kernel over it, would it work?
As I understand it, the kernel is the interface between the OS and the hardware. Maybe that is ignorant? The reason I ask is because this process was quite common for Japanese S4 users to employ custom ROMs for US S4s; i.e. Flash the US custom ROM (e.g. Mokee or Albee95) and then flash the Japanese S4 kernel onto it.
I understand the question might seem silly to you, but I don't have the hundreds of hours required to reach your level of expertise. I have invested sufficient time to understand much of the jargon; and the tools and methods employed to get root and flash ROMs. More than that, I rely on asking the experts, like you. :good:
you would have to port firmware framework and a bit of other things, secondly hong kong does not self exynos versions here. It's all Qualcomm.

Travis,
TESTED (Semi-working)
I've done some testing on my SCV33 variant using what you've made for the SC-02H.
[Kernel]
I flashed the HKernal Beta 2, using the SC-02H FW, and TWRP Unofficial you've provided onto my SCV33 Galaxy S7e and it is really snappy and fast. Very nice kernel. Any DoCoMo users out there should flash this - though still beta it does the job. I had no problems flashing this in TWRP.
[TWRP Unofficial]
I was able to mount all partitions - works. I had no problem flashing this using Odin.
[Problems I've Encountered]
* After rebooting into TWRP Unofficial many times. My log reads "Unable to mount /steady." I have no idea what this is or what partition it belongs too; but, TWRP is still able to do everything else such as mount /data, wipe /system, etc. - I don't think its a big issue to be honest. Just wanted to let you know.
* After installing everything and everything working fine. I do not/cannot communicate with networks (cannot connect to wifi, cannot call, and no data). I had check SIM status = not available, IMEI = Unknown, SN = Unknown. I had made an EFS back up of my KDDI rom with working network communication and restored with with TWRP Unofficial. Installation via TWRP log has stated successful, but upon reboot problem has not been fixed. Any ideas I should try? I also believe the software from the SC-02H OS handles how im about to connect to data towers and catch frequencies. Putting in my own APN does not work.
* Crom Service.apk you've provided at an earlier comment to unlock bootloader, which I've installed, does not work. All it does is FC when trying to open the app - installation is fine. I had also tried getting one from the internet, and looking for it at the Samsung Galaxy App Store - the internet one does the same, FC. Samsung Galaxy App Store does not have Crom Service available. I am assuming SCV33 wont ever be able to unlock bootloader.
* Debloated Rom Zip does not work, after doing a clean install to Stock Odin, installing TWRP Unofficial, system ext4 format, wiping /system /data /internal storage /dalvikArt /cache, and flashing Debloated Rom Zip with TWRP - states installed successful and boots up. Though upon booting I still have all the bloat there. In addition, many FCs from many different apps, even after reboot (e.g. tap and play, google play store, google services). The rom still functions after a couple more reboots after a /dalvikART cache wipe, but it just doesn't seem as fast as the stock one though. I believe this maybe a conflict due to my device, and myself as well.
----
Oh BTW the SCV33 is:
*SM-G935J
*OS 6.0.1
*Single SIM only
I will try my best do to other methods on trying to get this to fully work, but the Network Communication thing always halts my progress. I really dig this kernel man.
Again, thank you for your hard work and dedication to the Snapdragon Variant its very much appreciated :highfive:. Looking at the Exynos sub-forum I get so jelly at times.
OK is yours has a different modem then the rest. Also your partitions might be a bit different, I really need that device in my hands to look at the partition layout. If you can find SCV33 kernel source I will be more than happy to make a kernel for this variant also. I call my kernels beta because it's just how I do it.
Ok found your source for the kernel I'll check out the configs and maybe make a kernel later on this week.

Finally flashed! been using it for less than an hour, i can say that its definitely good for daily use. Camera seems better and hasnt crashed yet (like it use to), mic actually picks up audio properly, brightness slider is finally proportional to the brightness level, and its pie
however, the stereo speaker seems to muffle at high volumes (especially with the ringtones and less with youtube, but still a little prevelent), app opening times seem a little longer than 8.1, and 120HZ still doesnt work
im also curious why the linked odm isnt the latest one (im pretty sure the latest is 1st march not feb)
anyways, thanks dev! (may be editing this thread after more use for battery etc)

Could it be this kernel bug: https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/bug_tracker/issues/336 ? Looks like the sonyxperiadev team is working on it.

The March 1 release says "Android 8.1", the linked one looks like the latest for Pie.

Ah, your correct it does say 8.1 my bad
opps
I saw this version from delta updater (using 8.1 omni) and immediately downloaded flashed oem for pie and downloaded omni 9 but it stucked new omni animated logo. Waited like 10 minutes but nothing happened then rebooted phone but same thing happened. Should i wait more or something went wrong?
Im here with OmniROM freshly flashed trough Open Delta.
I have some problems. First boot never ends, BUT restart worked for me but I have another problem.
Now I need 10 min to unlock the phone when Im lucky.
I unlock with the code and then its instantly relock and it say I cant use fingerprint for first unlock, so I use code again and not work again and still can't use fingerprint.
I do this A LOT OF TIME before I can use my phone. Sometimes it helps sometimes not if I not unlock my phone but use corner dial icon first and then if its ask for code i use it and then I got SystemUI crash error again and again and again.
As I said I try to repeat this methods for like 10 min after every restart. I tried to delete some maybe not compatible apps with this new update but still nothing. Now I will remove some Magisk modules. I will write again.

you need to do a full wipe before upgrading to p
Just as @oshmoun said; before flashing new ROMs, it's imperative to do full wipe (if you don't want to lose all your data, then do a full backup in TWRP), as flashing without full wiping can cause TONS of problems. Don't be lazy and follow the instructions properly.

I used the same rom before but the last update. I updated through OpenDelta.
Hello !
It's cool to see our XZ is alive !
I have some problems with this rom after a full wipe and update to oem V6 :
- no sounds during calls, no mic, no earphone, no sounds on speaker
- Magisk 18.1 not working
- With official camera app, while using the flash, only the autofocus led is lit, the second and much powerful led is never triggered resulting on dark shots
For now that's all
Thx
Performance is somewhat distressed and the camera does not work for the sound is not working after restarting the device is improving

you cant do that. its pretty misleading having it available on that opendelta ota thingy. you have to follow the instructions in this thread
Flashed data, cache and dalvik, factory reset. And installed latest nightly with gapps and magisk 18.1.
Only reason I did it this way is because I was on a unofficial build on Omni. Everything is working as it should. Very snappy and no lag. Still have to see how the ROM handles after it's settled for a couple day, but right off the bat it's amazing. Thank you very much Dev, and happy to see you back on XDA.

Why this ROM showed up as an update then?
I just don't understand it.
Nevermind this is my main and only phone and I work 4 days straight before I can use my PC so I need to use this ROM buggy for me. :/

You need a PC to flash this. Follow all steps in order and it'll work. Always remember, unless you have a messaging app that backups texts, you will lose them flashing a cfw. Always always backup anything you don't want to lose.

I've had a reoccurring issue on the unofficial and official builds so far. I do not have the option to use my phone when calling unless speaker phone or a Bluetooth headset. I cannot put the phone to my head and use normally. Is there any kind of option to fix this nuisance. Any feedback is truly appreciated
Every 9.0 ROM I ever flash, I always seem to have the same problem. Whether its dirty flashing, or starting with flashtool, to CMD, and then to TWRP, the same problem seems to happen. After the ROM has settled, audio quality through calls becomes a huge problem. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but it has been a persistent bug, next chance I get for the next nightly ill send a logcat, kinda cant not since back on stock. I need good call quality for work lol. Either way, thank you for bringing OMNI to 9.0 official
anyone having problems with video playback? videos dont play on instagram, youtube or snapchat. using magisk 18.1 and latest omni 9 rom
edit: nvm, found out that the Google camera fix module for magisk was the problem

[ROM][OneUI 2.5][TWRP] NcX 2.5 for A71 [SM-A715F]

NcX 2.5 A71 ROMPretty straight forward, I took OneUI 2.5 firmware, debloated it and added a few features which can be found here: Link to MODs
My plan is to make this the best version of OneUI 2.5 with more features and fixed things (my mission is to fix Secure Folder in the near future) Fixed
Anyway, let's get started.
Code:
Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about flashing this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. HARD!
Features!
TWRP Included
Full OneUI 2.5 features
Debloated
Added camera features
Dolby Atmos without earphones
Optimized
Edge Lighting fully enabled
Secure Folder fixed
Smart View fixed
Samsung Health fixed
Samsung OCR service
Bugs!
Secure Folder broken (will try to fix later) Fixed on 2.5.1
Samsung Pass broken (because of knox 0x1, duh) Removed from ROM, it will never work.
Bug with AOD brightness when you use fingerprint unlock method. This bug happens when you have AOD to always show. If AOD is showing, then you turn the screen on to only show lockscreen clock and then turn the screen off for AOD to show, the brightness of AOD will reduce to the most minimal and it will be hard to see, regardless of what brightness you set up. There are 2 ways to getting rid of this bug:
Disable unlocking phone with fingerprint
Unlocking your phone and then locking it again. This will only fix it until you trigger the bug again
Fixed, clock animation removed.

PrequisitesMANDATORY ALWAYS: SD Card. It IS possible to have it on internal storage but ONLY if you are not encrypted. If you are encrypted, then you will need to FORMAT DATA and that will delete everything in your internal storage and you won't be able to add it back to internal storage with TWRP because MTP is broken. For installing 2.5.1/2.5.2:
Installing and following NcX 2.5 installation steps, as well as its prequesites
TWRP Installed (included in NcX 2.5)
Download multidisabler.zip (link: From Telegram Group (also attached on this thread) and add to SD Card or internal storage
Download Magisk zip installer to your SD Card or internal storage
For installing 2.5:
Update to bootloader U3 (either install OneUI 2.1 or OneUI 2.5 fully with Odin), otherwise you will have problems with camera
Fully unlock bootloader. I don't mean just turning OEM unlock on in developer settings , I mean FULLY unlock. If you didn't know, Samsung changed up how you unlock the bootloader on newer devices like this one. @topjohnwu gets a little more specific here: Explanation but I'm going to quote the important stuff to FULLY unlock bootloader:
Unlocking BL on modern Samsung devices have some caveats, so I figure this would be helpful.
Allow bootloader unlocking in Developer options → OEM unlocking
Reboot to download mode: reboot and press the download mode key combo for your device.
Long press volume up to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe your data and automatically reboot.
If you think the bootloader is fully unlocked, it is actually not! Samsung introduced VaultKeeper, meaning the bootloader will still reject any unofficial partitions before VaultKeeper explicitly allows it.
Go through the initial setup. Skip through all the steps since data will be wiped again later.
Connect the device to Internet during the setup.
Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and is grayed out. This means the VaultKeeper service has unleashed the bootloader.
Your bootloader now accepts unofficial images in download mode.

Download Magisk zip installer to your SD Card or internal storage
Download multidisabler.zip (link: From Telegram Group and also attached in this thread) and add to SD Card or internal storage
Instructions!For installing 2.5.1/2.5.2:
Reboot to TWRP
Flash NcX 2.5.1.img or NcX 2.5.2 as "super" image in TWRP
Reboot to Recovery
Format data if you are coming from Stock ROM. If you are coming from NcX 2.5 then you don't need to wipe or format, you can just skip this step.
Flash multidisabler (this is required always)
Flash Magisk zip (optional)
Reboot and wait patiently
For installing 2.5:
Reboot to download mode and add AP_NcX 2.5 A71 in AP on Odin
Uncheck the Auto reboot option in Odin
Flash
When it is finished, force a manual reboot (keep pressing VOL - and Power buttons together)
Immediately when phone reboots, boot to recovery mode (VOL + and Power button)
If your phone was unencrypted before, just do a normal wipe. If your phone was not unencrypted before, do a full data format (Go to WIPE option in TWRP, select FORMAT DATA button at the bottom and they type yes on the keyboard. This will completely wipe your internal storage so be sure to backup and photos, music, etc... you have in internal media.)
Flash multidisabler to ensure you do not get encrypted
Flash magisk (I don't know if this is mandatory, I would fully recommend it though)
Reboot and wait patiently

FAQ
[Q] My phone is stuck in bootloop/infinite boot, what should I do?
[A] It is normal for first instalation to take aprox 10-20 minutes on first boot, let it sit for a little bit
[Q] Even after 20 minutes, my phone is still in a bootloop/infinite boot, what can I do?
[A] It is possible that your previoius Android setup is conflicting with this new setup. Please, do the following:
1. FORMAT DATA (not WIPE, FORMAT!)
2. Try the instalation of NcX again
[Q] I've found a bug, what should I do
[A] Please read the "Bugs" section of the thread to see if your bug has been reported, if it hasn't, please let me know exactly what the problem is so I can take a look
[Q] I flashed magisk on TWRP but no apps are asking for SU Permission
[A] Make sure you have the Magisk Manager app installed
[Q] I don't see Magisk Manager in my apps
[A] You need to download the manager from the official source: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk
[Q] Something bothers me and I want it fixed/changed
[A] Please, kindly make a request and if it's within my grasp, I'll try to fix it. Just, don't be rude and demand something. Either that or return to stock, your choice
How to report a bug/Ask for a change
Over the small amount of time I've been doing my edits and shared them with the community, I've noticed something that seems to irritate me. I can't speak for all the developers on this forum, but I do edits/ROMs/PORTs/etc... to what I like. I don't work for anybody else but me. I share my work because it may have something of value to other people and/or some people may share the same taste as me on regards to what they want on a ROM.
That being said, that doesn't mean I will completely ignore what the community has to say.
First and foremost, it must be said, I am merely a beginner. I do not claim to be a professional developer that knows how to add everything, I am nowhere close and I learn as I go.
There are ways to ask for something and/or report a bug when it comes to ROMs, and this post is my attempt to try to explain how to (and how not to) report a bug in order to help me out as much as possible to try to fix something
You can also ask for something to be added, but there are also ways to ask for something
So, here we go
Keep in mind:
I do not add stuff that can easily be downloaded from the Playstore
I, myself, don't do kernel edits
I COULD remove stuff if NOBODY uses it
---REPORTING BUGS---
How NOT to report a bug:
"SystemUI (or any app)is crashing, please help!"
"Instagram doesn't allow me to edit my post, what could be wrong?"
"My bank account app is not letting me do such thing"
These posts are sort of pointless as they only state something but I have no context on what could be causing it. Also, I can't really control (for the most part) third-party apps, so if you're going to ask about them this way, don't even bother
A slightly better way to report a bug:
"I clean installed the ROM and was working fine, after I installed Facebook and logged in, I immediately uploaded a photo and SystemUI started to crash. Can you look in to it?"
"I tried to install Black Neon theme (a link to it would work as well) and it was working fine until I tried to activate AOD (or anything else for some reason) and SystemUI (or any other app) is crashing, could you look in to it?"
"My bank account app doesn't let me take a screenshot of my accounts. I get a toast notification saying "Can't take screenshot due to security policy"
As you can see, this provides a bit more context and explanation on your current situation. This gives me a little more detail on trying to replicate the problem and hopefully could fix it by replicating it. Well, except for point #3 which is out of my hands for the most part (I think). If you include what kernel you're using would make everything better! Also any significant change that would require root (like xposed and or anything that modifies /system also needs to be informed for better results)
The BEST way to report a bug:
LOGCAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please learn the ins and outs of a logcat, this really helps a lot on finding what the problem is. Also, please give a brief explanation as the above examples when providing a log cat
---ASKING FOR STUFF TO BE ADDED---
How NOT to ask for stuff:
On your next update, add iris scanner
You should add (app) on your next update
Hey, please add (app or feature) on your next update
No, I do not work for you. Even if you say please like the third example, that doesn't mean you're being polite. It still sounds like an order lol so you should probably rephrase your request.
How to ask for stuff to be added to my work:
Would you be so kind to add (feature) to your ROM, if possible?
Would it be possible to add this app to your ROM?
Please, can you add (feature) to your ROM, if it isn't much to ask?
See how politeness makes everything better? You're not demanding it, you're just politely asking to see if maybe it is within my grasp to add something. And if all request would be like this, I can assure you I'd try my best to add said feature
I hope this is useful to you or I at least hope that some people read it.
If not, I can just tell you to return to stock ROM, probably better than any ROM I put out anyway
Enjoy guys, keep on the lookout for updates. I plan on adding more MODs and fixes

Were there any red messages in TWRP when you were installing?
