Hello !
At first I apologize for my English, I am French.
So i used the custom ROM Validus and this problem appears for every ROM. Like you know, when you root, you can't use snapchat and u need to login before you root your phone. So i installed Validus, i install all apps i need and login (included snapchat) but after that when i flash super su, my phone reset and i have a error message which flashes. In the message i have ".com.android" something and i'm obliged to shutdown the phone, reset the phone and re-install the ROM.
And this appears with all ROM (Tesla, Tuga etc...) and i don't know how can i use snapchat acutally.
I tried to disable super user in the app, doesnt work
I saw we can use xposed app but for 7.1.1, it's not possible actually
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Snapchat discorvers root as it denies working on it. After flashing install snapchat and login. Then return to recovery and install SU afterwards. Possibly you have to use tools like RootCloak.

It's what i tried to do (without RootCloak) and when i do that, i lost all my data (like i wipe all data when i try to install SU...) but RootCloak works for 7.1.1 ? Because i already tried to flash Xposed, doesnt work (error 1)
Try SUHide. Though the data wipe seems odd.

I tried to flash suhide after flash ROM, doesnt work, the ROM don't charge (the loading of the ROM don't stop)
PS : I tried with Validus ROM and others, same things
Here's a workaround for Nexus 6. Maybe it's working on 3T as well. Something else I found here.
Nevertheless, the auto data wipe is strange. Did you clean or dirty flash?

I don't know what is dirty flash ? What i know is i alway wipe all data before install any custom ROM
But I found a solution. I installed Root Swich, it's a simple app which allows to deactivate the root and activate it as you want.
So i disabled root and install snapchat and login successfully.
But i want to understand why when i want to flash super su for any custom ROM i have a auto data wipe :/
Since your device is beyond my reach I can't help investigating the problem. Maybe the data is not really deleted but r/w permissions have just been modified and cannot be accessed any more. But anyway, I'm glad your found a workaround.

Thanks for your help anyway !
Now I just need someone who knows how can i fix the problem of data. Cause if one day i will need to flash something, it's gonna wipe the data of my phone
Maybe if i do a clean factory reset or something ? Cause i used my 3T a lot cause of this to find a solution so maybe something happenned when i tried so many things. (Test of ROM etc ...)
I have more information, when I install any custom ROM and after that I want to flash super su, wipe cache etc ... I boot on the ROM normally but i see my phone haved a factory reset and i have this ".com.android.phone has stopped" Impossible to remove the message and I am forced to wipe again data and reinstalll the ROM.
Conclusion : I can install ROM but after that, i can not do anything, if i do anything, BOUM, reset factory. And i don't understand why ....
I tried the last (Unofficial) TWRP but when i tried to boot on the ROM after flashing it, my phone didn't boot on the ROM but always on TWRP.
Maybe I brick my phone but i can use it, i don't have storage problem or others so ...
I'm lost ... Any ideas ?

Do you have this issue with only flashing super su or try to boot into recovery don't do anything and reboot check if it still reset everything.
Which recovery you are using?
The version

I have this issue only flashing super su, when i try to boot into recovery and then reboot into the ROM, nothing happened.
I use 3.0.3.1, when i tried 3.0.4.0 and flash a ROM, the phone only boot on recovery and not into the ROM
I'm actually having a similar issue. One day my phone was acting weird and I had to force reboot. I noticed after that I lost root. I've tried flashing SuperSU again, and it flashes fine but I still don't get root. This morning I upgraded to 4.0.3, and tried flashing root, and same thing no root.
The weirdest part is I can flash a custom kernel with TWRP 3.0.3.1 and the kernel flashes fine and I have the custom kernel, if I try flashing SuperSU, it flashes fine but I get no root AND it removes the custom kernel!!! Everything I'm using is the most updated too. What gives? I want root back....

Make sure your wiping old data in recovery.. and if flashed a new kernal or radio could also cause a problem too

yes i did Wipe data/factory reset ,Wipe cache,Wipe Dalvik-cache but just now i discovered that after doing this and still last installed rom has not been wiped its still there wtf what should i do and yes i did install 2.6.34.1_AVS-925mV_BFS_1113Mhz kernel how do i completely wipe everything???
Umm also do wipe sd partition, then do another wipe factory and cache-.. then do a repair sd then try to flash new rom.. this is what i usually do when i install new roms
still no luck i even did clear storage then wiped everything and i dont use app2sd(ext) i dontunderstand what to do i even tried with the clockworkmod's recovery still the same
sorry man, My only guess and idea is try to flash back to a normal kernal, then flash rom.. only thing i can come up with atm, or you can wait and see if some one that comes up with a better solution
where can i find norman kernel or any kernel which can fix this?
i recently flashed the eXistenZ Ultra 2, and im sure i did everything fine, after flashing the rom in recovery and flashing suprsu and wifi fix, i powered off the phone, and powered on but sony logo has apeared until now , and welcoming`s sounding 999..times. i cant turn it off, or i should say i cant do anything.
please help,
After flashing ROM and the fixes you should flash the 12.1.A.0.266 Firmware with FlashTool!
If problem still persists:
http://xda-university.com/as-a-user/how-to-recover-from-a-bootloop
Take a look at this site A recovery would be quite useful, but I think the kernel of eXistenZ ROM has one. If not, you'll find one in the development section. Otherwise, use the ADB as solution.
Good luck
Thanx for the post!
I used force shut down and then flash the 254 rom, and did all those things, and the problem occured again.
does the recovery software have to be the touch recovery? I use CWM v6 that enables with volume +.
and i use SuperSU fix.zip rather than superUser.zip and generally i flash rom, supersu fix.zip and wifi fix.zip. i flashed those three, before first booting, do i have to boot first before flashing wifi fix.zip?

I think you need to flash 12.1.A.0.266 instead of 12.0.A.2.254 after flashing ROM. You could also wipe data, cache and dalvik cache, reflash eXistenZ ROM and SuperSU fix (or SuperUser but SuperSU should be ok), shut down the phone with the option in recovery and then flash the 12.1.A.0.266 with FlashTool.
It doesn't matter which recovery you take. Use the one you like best. I'm not quite sure, but to go sure, please flash the wifi fiz.zip after first boot up!

thanx again,
i flashed the 266 kernel before the first boot, and the rom runs correctly,
but ive got some new problems:
1. performance, when i click on performance, it closes unexpectedly and says it has stopped.
2. i used go backup for backing up from data in 4.1, but in this rom i restored my apps, the apps installed correctly but goBackup says the data restoring successfully finished , but the data didnt restored, by the way at the time i backed up from my apps&data, i swapped memories with that linux code that this forum did.

You're welcome
1. Do you have SuperSU installed? On AOKP ROM I'm running it asked for superuser permission for ROM Control (the control center implemented in the settings of the ROM). Maybe it'll ask you if SuperSU is installed. Otherwise, because it is after the first boot it needs to rebuild cache and so on.. If problem persists after reboot, just use an other clock speed controler (No-frills CPU, SetCPU..)
2. If you did that at the same time, maybe Go Backup didn't really backup your data. Try again, if it doesn't work and if you have a nandroid backup (backup from recovery) you can go into recovery, then to advanced restore and restore data. Otherwise your data is unfortunately gone I think :/
PS: I prefer Titanium Backup
Hi I recently updated my phone to the newest version of ViperROM.
Ever since I did the update (full wipe), when I go into recovery it mentions this:
Root Access Possibly Lost Fix?
THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE
1. YES fix root (/system/xbin/su)
2. NO do not fix
I didn't have this before I updated my phone, and I'm pretty sure I haven't updated the CWM recently either... I also have SuperSU installed for root access.
I've reinstalled the ViperRom 2-3 times with the same issue, my work colleague is getting the same thing on his phone to (same phones). Both phones have the same recovery, supersu and rom.
Very wierd, anyone else seen anything like this or know how I might fix it?
I've used the option to add SuperSU to system, but the message still shows.
I can't seem to do anything while I have this message. There is an OTA update from ViperROM which I can't install, because is keeps asking to fix root.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you gain root access on the phone? E.g. terminal emulator and use the 'su' command. Do you get a SU prompt?
If not have you tried manually flashing SU zip?

Its got to the point where I'm attempting to install a different SU.zip, and now CWM attempts to install then the screen goes blank.
I can't install anything via CWM at the moment...
I've had root access before installed the Viper 5.0 update, now is gone all weird.
I now can't install any .zip file via the phone, CWM attempts it showing "installing zip" then the screen goes blank and reboots.

I have a backup from before i updated ViperRom 5.0, can I not install TWRP or something? Its just I would then need to reinstall ViperRom again and set everything up.
To be honest, it wasn't perfect from when I did the update, but it still looks better than the old version I was on.

If you back up data you won't need to set it up again. That's my point. Do this
Install TWRP, do a full backup, then wipe and install 5.5 fresh. Then restore Data. Restoring data will return your phone back to the way you had it.

Oh I see, thanks
So the case was I reset my device, and later after i flashed a ROM into my device, it does not boot. Instead, it goes into TWRP recovery. And it goes to TWRP every time i boot my device.
I have done this for so many times and I cannot even know what is going wrong this time. I am quite frustrated and I did googled a lot but it did not solve my problem. So, I want to know if anyone else encounter similar problem and solution towards it.
I tried:
1. Wipe the dalvik cache.
2. Remove the battery for half an hour
3. Reflash the twrp
Any efforts and reply is much appreciated.
Thank you.
Mine's exactly the same, I factory reset so I could pass the phone on; and now it will not install custom roms, I've tried about 7 or 8, and it will only boot into twrp 3.0.2-5. Soft brick, but I'm unable to find any solution.
Here's hoping someone will come and help.
I think I'll have to reinstall twrp by connecting the phone to the computer, but I've no idea how to do this.

Exactly the same issue here too, installed lineage 14.1, was working great, I was selling to a friend, did a factory reset, now stuck at twrp, roms install etc, but after a reset, every time straight back to TWRP.
Looks like I might need to flash back to stock somehow.
But I did find this, but not yet tried.

As slifer225 mentioned you can downgrade to stock firmware by installing the stock MM rom s433 version using spftools.
Download and Install stock MM rom using spftools.
Here is the link- https://cloud.mail.ru/public/Cco5/JYk3ytrW1
For further info follow this post- https://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-...3#post71749243
Follow this step by step guide to go back to unrooted stock rom. If you want to root after that then try installing custom recovery(twrp) again using spftools and flash supersu.zip using recovery. Do take a backup though before rooting your device.

Everything is working perfectly as I myself had gone through the same issue and did everything to fix the problem until I downgraded back to stock. Did root on my device again and installed lineage 7.1.1 and it works like a charm. One thing I love about this rom is the efficient ram management, lag free but battery management is not upto the mark but I guess we can work it out.
Whatever you do never forget taking a backup of functional rom.
Yes, I can confirm the solution worked for me, I left it with stock rom for my friend, I tried lineage 14.1 and did a factory reset, but ended once again with softbrick , lineage will install and work perfectly, but as soon as you do a factory reset, soft brick
Now I've hard bricked it. I loaded up a 'looprecovery' when it rebooted there's nothing, no charge light no vibrations PC doesn't see it, land fill?
Wondering...

I think that solution only works on Snapdragons. It didn't for me. Is there a solution for MTK devices?
the solution for this(FIX)
all we need to do is reinstall a stock recovery and the again reinstall the TWRP
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-note/general/ufficial-thread-lenovo-k3-note-t3102997
follow this link..my phone just got fixed
My phone TWRP-looped many times. The solution is actually easy.
1. Reflash using SPFlashtool ONLY the stock recovery
2. boot into stock recovery
3. choose english > press reboot phone
4. phone will reboot into rom without problemos
5. reflash TWRP
cheers
or
1. Copy stock recovery.img into sdcard
2. In twrp, select Install and navigate to where you put stock recovery.img
3. Press install image. Then, Select recovery.img. Slide to install
4. boot into stock recovery
5. choose english > press reboot phone
6. phone will reboot into rom without problemos
7. reflash TWRP
DONE

Is it possible that you used the wrong Xposed for your device or SDK version? I can't imagine that restoring a backup didn't fix it. Did you try wiping system in TWRP first?
Things you can try:
- Flash the "Xposed Uninstaller" zip file in TWRP, which should always be on your device when you are flashing new versions of Xposed.
- Reflash TWRP in Odin. This should fix a recovery loop.
- Wipe system, data, dalvik, cache in TWRP, then try restoring your backup.
- As a last resort, you can download the latest stock firmware for your device from the sammobile site, flash it in Odin, let it boot once, reflash TWRP, wipe in TWRP and restore your backup (if you were running a custom rom you liked or something), then flash the correct Xposed for your device & android version.
Hope this helps!

Hello. I already tried zipping the uninstaller for xposed but it did nothing, I also tried wiping dalvik cache and all, but no luck. I also think that my backups are just not functional. Now I'm left to just reflashing TWRP and if that doesn't work I'll have to flash the original stock firmware for my phone. I have spent already 2 days with constant searching for ways to fix my phone and not being able to do other things because this has been taking up my time and my patience, so I really appreciate every bit of fixing my phone that I get. Since I am new to all this I would be very grateful if you could send me the links to the correct files for my device and also give me a tutorial on what to do. As I appreciate any support, so I'm thankful for you helping me But until then my device is still not able to boot regulary but rather boots to TWRP

Update:
I fixed my phone, and here's what I did, so if anyone is new here with the same issue I had, I hope this can help you. So first of all as I said I kept booting to TWRP, later I tried reflashing TWRP, but I remembered that I missed something in ODIN, so I just pulled the cord and my screen after rebooting just said something along the lines of "An unexpected error occurred while updating software, please recover using Samsung Smart Switch." after that, I tried Samsung Smart Switch, but it was no luck for me, so then I used the last resort. I went on sammobile.com, I searched stock firmware for the exact model I had and then I checked the stock firmware that was available. Since I'm from Latvia, I picked the Baltic region, then I downloaded the latest stock firmware. After a long time, I downloaded the file, and I checked the instructions on how to flash it, I flashed the stock firmware, and then my problem was fixed, my phone was working again and now I have Android 7.1.1 as I used to have Android 6.0.1 and I had ZERO file loss However as you flash the stock firmware, TWRP get "flashed" out and same with root if you have it, and in that case if you want TWRP and root again, I highly suggest Meziani's YoutTube channel, because he gives simple and working tutorials on how to do it I'm glad if this helped anyone.
