Does the Mi Mix support aptX (Bluetooth codec)? - Xiaomi Mi MIX Questions & Answers

Most reviews and spec sheets says it does not support aptX. I was upset but when I did check the logs while playing music over bluetooth it seems to me that they are enabled.
Is the log playing tricks on me or does the mi mix actually support aptx? It also shows aptxHD which is really surprising. (Please see screenshot)
NOTE: I am on the Epic Rom, I don't know if that made a difference or not.

Did you ever validate this? If not, would you PM me the log with you playing music over BT to an APTX or APTC HD headset. I can verify for you. I'm about to get a Mi Mix and I was curious to see what codecs can be activated via ROMS and sort fact from fiction.
I have a set of Audio Technica ATH-DSR9BT headphones that I will be using to do my own validations, but what's interesting is that in Android O, we are allegedly getting LDAC and APTX/APTX HD anyway.

And what's your result? Does Xiaomi Mi Mix 1 support LDAC??
Thanks!

If yours is "U"SA variant I"m afraid you can't have it working since it's needed to be pushed to SYSTEM partition and can be done only with root privileges which probably will never get for this variant. Apart from this I found no luck as I tried some others like Two0, Sony's, LG's, and even AOKP's. Those are all proprietary limited.
However I found out I can record FM high quality stereo sound using Spirit1 developed by Mike Reidis R.I.P. This method does not require root and easily keeps me happy with my device for sure. The stock OEM FM interface has record function too but it sucks since it reverts to mono m4a.

Bluetooth AAC codec question

Any of you who run a custom ROM can use the AAC codec? I have a QC 35 II headphones and MIUI would revert it back to SBC regardless of me choosing AAC, it's a known bug, but I'd like to know if this also happens on custom ROMS
Thank you

Had the same problems with AOSiP and Sphinx kernel. AptX is working automatically though.

I used this module and now I have a switch to enable aac in the Bluetooth settings for my cars Headunit.

Disable AudioFX system app
I got it fixed by disabling system equalizer (from all music players) and Mi sound enhancer.
This happen to me half way, viper exchange spotify sounds but none of the audio players I have ( black player and poweramp)

Does mi 11 ultra/pro not support tws+ codec? Mine just recognize as aptX.. can someone help?
Im using mi 11 pro / eu rom 12.5.7
Go to Developer Settings and select TWS+ as the default bluetooth audio codec.
Already done that.i did every i knew before i start this thread and no its doesn't change anything..but i got some info of mi10t pro ,redmi note 10 pro ,poco f3 users have the same issue
Anyway, TWS+ is based on aptX, so there might not be provided a "TWS+" specific label to show.

Question Audio Wizard Settings

What are good audio/video settings for built-in speakers? I've tried playing about with audio wizard but have no clue what I am doing.
Just stuck with default settings for now, but I hope that i can get better audio when watching videos and listening to music by changing the settings.
Does anyone have any idea for any good settings or just what the different frequencies does?

I've found the Music option suits well for most playback situations.
I've also kept bass at 10%
It's a pity none of those profile were clearly named "Off / Disabled / the like".
And as much as I also *feel* the "Music" one is the naturalest one, and hopefully a purely flat one, there's no way to be sure it does not try to color the sound either. Apart from an RMAA test, which I'm lacking will to try.
Maybe I should try the music profile for a while to see if I notice a difference.
