I don't think there is any other way to boot in recovery or fastboot mode without working hardware buttons or a fastboot/adb connection. Looks like it's time to open that phone and fix your volume buttons.

Hi there i am Ahmed from Egypt
i was suffering the same issue till i realized that the button itself is working from inside
it is not easy to deal with it but the problem is that underneath the metallic volume up/Down bottom there is a small piece of plastic that evidently deal with pressing that bottoms
For me only one was doped (for volume down bottom)
at the end it is better to try pressing the key from inside the phone (i mean after DE-assemble the cover)

Hello,
I have a rooted One with PA on it. Tried to update to the last version of PA and the phone kept restarting (entered the ROM, and restarted after 30sec of so). Flashed gapps, boot.img, wiped cache still the same. After this i flashed [Kernel](002) One-M7 (UV/Intelliplug/dfsync/FauxSound/s2w/Hybrid Linux 3.4+) even though i did not knew what I was doing and now, the phone is stuck at Quietly Brilliant....I cannot do anything to it, and pressing POW+VOL DOWN does nothing...Is there anything else I can do?
Sigh...just sigh

On the quietly brilliant screen keep the power button pressed ... the buttons light will start to flash, that is normal, keep the power button pressed till screen goes off and immediately press and hold the vol down button ... this should bring you back to Bootloader, flash another proper ROM and Kernel from recovery now

Hello,
I tried to flash Slim ROM on my TMo HTC One and I accidentally soft-bricked it.
First, I unlocked the bootloader, put the zip folder in storage and then went straight for flashing a ROM.
Since then, I am stuck in a bootloop even when I try to run recovery - I flashed TWRP.
Can anoyone help?

yes, this is pretty simple:
You can boot into your bootloader by pressing the power button for a long time and if the display turns off, press the volume down button and hope you jump into your bootloader.. try this out until you manage to get into your bootloader. If this doesn't work, you should hold your phone below a bright light so the sensor recognizes it.. then play around with your power button and volume buttons and you should be able to boot into your bootloader. Then connect your phone to the PC and use this fastbootcommand after you navigated to fastboot on your phone:
Code:
fastboot erase chache
Now you should be able to boot into your recovery..
If it helped, hit the thanksbutton or ask other questions by quoting my post so I get notified and I can answer
If you managed to enter the recovery, say it, I write further instructions... Because if I write it now and the steps above didn't work... I wrote it for no reason and yeah... just say it

thank you for your quick response, unfortunately, after erasing cache before and I still got stuck in bootloop (didnt work this time either).
Entering Recovery... appears on top of a screen and nothing happens for a long time before the phone reboots itself

I would simply reflash recovery (maybe a different one) to make sure it's not the file you have

ok.. in that case we have to do some other stuff..
Download the TWRP recovery, it's know to work better than CWM at it's current state, you can download the file for your HTC One here:
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7 (credits to: http://teamw.in/ thanks for your awesome work!)
Then when you are in the fastboot mode, use this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery "C:\pathToYourRecovery\recoveryname.img"
Then boot into recovery... and if this doesn't work too, try this command:
Code:
fastboot boot "C:\pathToYourRecovery\recoveryname.img"
If you were able to get into the recovery, or if you were not able, pls answer
!! :good: It worked and I got successfully booted the recovery, I think I was flashing a wrong version of twrp before

Hi guys,
yesterday i was wiping "cache" and "dalvik cache" through TWRP and I checked "system" too. Now when I try to boot my phone get stucked at the htc logo version (lineage nougat unofficial was on it before the wipe).
I tried to go back to the recovery (volUP+Power) but the phone simply re-boot, or the bootloader (volDOWN+Pow), and nothing happens; only htc white logo screen or battery charging.
Is there a way to reach the recovery mode again?
Thanks
What phone variant is it ?
Post your getvarall result here without IMEI and Serial.
Have you tried flashing TWRP again ?

you have to flash system again because you deleted it. (been there)
enter bootloader and flash TWRP again. (make sure no USB connected when entering recovery mode)

you phone is locked in fastboot. To enter bootloader it needs to soft reset first, so try this.
Turn phone on.
Press and hold power and volume up for 10s or until it switches off.
Then, press and hold the power and volume down buttons.
Once the screen goes black, release the power key but keep pressing the volume down button.
Release the Volume down key only when fastboot mode is being displayed.

you're welcome. Now its up to you what OS you want. not sure LineageOS will have for mini 2.
CM is popular or you can always go back to stock and use Xposed for improvements.

My device is Mi Max 2 today I tried flashing some custom rom which is because yesterday it was normal but it suddenly restarted when I tried booting it up it went to recovery mode btw my recovery mode is TWRP so I tried to just flash a rom again but after its done flashing It keeps booting into TWRP so I was searching online and decided to go back to stock I used the Miflash but after it successfully flashing again This time I can no longer access bootloader my volume up does not work anymore only down and power and im back to stock recovery mode tried accessing MiPcSuite but to still no avail. Please help im seriosly sad like frustrated beacuse I have been trying to find for a fix since yesterday.
Is my volume up broken? is it the reason why I can't access the bootloader. everything went south since yesterday.
I would like to add that the power and the volume buttons where acting funny yeterday when it was doing just fine could it be my volume button but why does it keep booting on TWRP Thinking about it I was getting out of the bath could have damage the volume buttons or something

hey...
is your bootloader still unlocked?
if no... i dont actually have a solution
if yes... you may possibly be okey
you said that you are on stock recovery... and that you can only access fastboot mode(Volume down + Power)
if you can access fastboot mode flash this twrp LINK using "fastboot flash recovery *recovery-name.img* " or "fastboot boot *recovery-name.img*"
then wipe everything... most files would be probably boken! lol.. neva mind!
then flash a rom,lets say this xiaomi.eu's 10.2
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397894583
hope you're good with that!
