Is anyone else having troubles making hangout calls? I can connect to a hangout, though I can not hear anything, nor my partners can hear me.

Hey was wondering, maybe I am just missing something. But tried to video chat the 1st time. I could hear my friend, we could see each other but she couldnt hear me. Tried with the headset too. No luck. Am I missing something here? Is there a built in mic? Something I need to do? Thanks.
My mic works, sometimes the person I chat with says my voice breaks up.
Im not sure where the mic is located.
the mic is next to the front facing camera.

mine works great, sipdroid/pbxes/google voice, just cant get inbound calls.
Thanks, Thats what I thought too, that its next to the camera, I need to test it out somehow.. maybe Ill try recording a video just to see if it even works. (Not that I got a defective model.. which would SUCK)
Hi guys,
I am facing trouble while using a head set with my phone for making calls. The person at the other end is hearing noises and distortions making the call quality really poor and making the headset useless. I tried with many headsets but its it till there. Without the head set the call quality is pretty fine.
The odd thing is that while doing voice calls through Skype, this issue does not pop up.
I am using 16gb s advance running stock JB android. Does anyone else face this issue?

I was using headset that I got from the phone, white one. And I did not have any problems before. On stock, did not try it on CM ROMs.

Then it must be a hardware problem (not sure why skype calls works fine though ). Will get it checked out by Samsung guys. Thanks
Hello guys, I've got a problem with my Dialler, in the beginning I'd like to say that im using ViperOne ROM and my HTC is rooted. So the problem is my microphone and speaker arent working while talking with someone on Dialler like I cant hear anything, and the other person can't hear me, but When Im using Viber or Facebook Call its working fine so its not broken speaker or microphone. Anyone had this problem? Help please

Hi. I have a Note 5 phone. Currently rooted. I tried almost every rom here and I still have this issue. Basically people can't hear me when I talk when using video calls like facebook, whatsapp, goog duo. People can't even hear me when I call them from number and when it's on loud speaker. They can only hear me when it's not on loud speaker. S voice and google assistant works when I talk. Any advice on this issue pls?

Did you Debloat after root? If so what did you delete?
I use Skype on speaker daily with no issues and rooted and heavily debloated
No, I did not delete anything.
I am using Xioami MI A2 after upgrading the Android Pie, the mic has stop working when I try to use WhatsApp video calls the other person cannot hear me at all while I can see them as well as hear them very clearly, even I call someone its very clear.
also, the mic does not work while I try to use Google Assitant,
but works fine for all the other apps, it seems like a very common problem MI A2 users are facing

I'm experiencing the same problem with my A2 and Pixel Experience ROM! i guess secondary microphone is responsible for this issue.
