I am well aware that MMS sending works for sprint, so if your a sprint customer, I don't care that yours works.
I have successfully input my carriers mmsc settings into multiple roms. I can get mms sending to work under any sense rom just fine. I cannot get it to work under AOSP, I have tried under CM6, DD2.8, and Csrom.
Has anyone who is on a carrier other than sprint ever gotten mms sending to work in an AOSP rom?
Yeah I have the same Issues. Also on all the AOSP roms my carrier still shows as Sprint, wish i could change that one too
dont think they will until someone cracks the MMS.apk for sprint.
FROM WHITERABBIT
"Sprint uses "Picture Mail" instead of MMS, which probably saves them some money or something, but causes problems when using phones off of Sprint. Maybe that isn't the case any more, but it definitely was within the past year or two."

I don't get what your implying here. I can send mms with my carrier no problem using sprint roms, its the aosp ones that give me trouble.
Any update on this? I, too, am on ACS.
I've been trying to soak in as much information as possible browsing these forums so that I can tweak my phone to my liking without bricking it. I finally jumped in and rooted a little over a week ago and flashed the Aloysius ROM I found on here. I lost my voicemail notifications, but thanks to another thread, I got that back. Now, I just need a cure for the MMS on AOSP ROMs.
Don't want this thread to die.
Aloysius is not an AOSP rom, its based off of damage control which is sprint based and thats why you didn't get voice mail notifications. This of course means you should be able to get working mms.
Download apn backup & restore from the market. extract the attatched zip file and stick the xml file in a folder on your sd card named ApnBackupRestore.
Run the app and delete all apns. then restore from my acs.xml file and you should be good to go.
O/T good to see more ACS customers on here!

Check out the Eris forums. Kaos Froyo is a CM/AOSP rom and mms works in it. Btw the Eris is a Verizon phone.

just tried it, didn't work in that rom I don't even get the network traffic lights like its trying to send. Thanks to the anykernel patcher thing it was stupid simple to get the eris rom running on the hero thanks for pointing out the eris forum as I found a froyo version of buufed there that I'm going to try.

You're welcome. You can also get that theme by downloading the new adw launcher and theming it in adw settings with the free theme from the market.

I've tried the theme but its kinda half assed compared to the fully themed rom. This is getting way off topic so I'll end it there.

This may be a dumb question but how are you running Eris roms on your Hero? Can I run Hero roms on my Eris?
Sent from my ERIS using XDA App
I changed the kernel. You could run hero roms on your eris by flashing an eris kernel into the hero rom. I didn't have working wifi, bluetooth or rotation sensors but I can probably get those working if put some effort in. Wifi I don't care about as the wifi on these phones is a JOKE seems to cap out at 1.5 to 2mbit throughput so might as well just use 3g.
I haven't got that far yet. I'm not brave enough (or I should say don't know enough) to do that yet. But thanks for the insight.

I'm using an Incredible S. I dont receive messages sometime. It's getting delayed. Sometimes calls are droped. Any idea why ?
Thanks
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
Take a look here http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible-s/357978-solution-fix-2-3-3-update-sms-delay.html

There aren't, it seems like a bug in the software with HTC, which they said there is a fix "coming soon".

awesomexda, where did you purchase your inc s from? what country are you currently in?
What country has the phone originated from?
This is what happened this morning.
"I just had HTC contact in regards to my **** feedback to them lol.
The lady went on to say that someone else had contacted her about the exact same issues and she told me that MobiCity should not be selling overseas phones to us because of frequency problems and so on. She said she is going to contact them directly aswell as aussie warranty to either send me an australian built one or give me a refund because of the rare situation we are in.
So it seems like it is something with the way the phones built.
I'll keep you guys updated. "
That's on android forums.
Thanks neo-X for the information !
I'm in sri lanka. It's HTC asia one. I bought it here. I think this is a major issue. most of the people who bought the phone have been experiencing issues like this. I'm disappointed with HTC becuase they said INC S is a flagship device and has no errors. But I still luv me device even though it has got problems.
Thanks people

Yeah it seems that asian sourced phones will sometimes not work properly in other countries for some reason.

No idea mate. That's all i got from them.
Here is my experience- I contacted HTC support in Singapore this week and was excited to read the email response:
"I would suggest you to go to the local service center to install the lately released patch on your Incredible S on the spot."
I rushed to the service centre, only to find out that HTC's definition of a "lately released patch" was to roll back to 2.2
At least the delayed SMS issue is now resolved!

I've tried MIUI, I like it, but it didn't really fix the problem. It seemed to make it slightly better, but I was still getting messages 10 mins late or so. I've just flashed CM7 Nightlies, but it doesn't show the time stamp of when the message was sent, only of when it was received so I can't really judge if it fixes the problem or not.

Same here, im on cm7 but can't judge it.
Here is what HTC said.
"Dear _,
Thank you for your reply.
After checking, we regret to inform you that we have been aware that the message delay is a known issue after Incredible S upgrades from Android 2.2 to 2.3 But currently our engineer is trying to finding out a workable solution for it. If there is any update or patch for the issue, we would put the information on our official webstie. And from our side, if there is any update, we will also inform you. We do apologize for any inconvenience which was brought by the phone issue.
We have to say that currently for the SMS delay issue, the only method is trying to select "GSM only" mode.
But for the **phone ringing issue**, we would suggest that you may try to put your phone in the safe mode to see whether there is improvement for the phone ringing problem.
Before you put your phone in safe mode, make sure that you have your fast boot option unchecked: Menu > Settings > Power > Make sure "Fast Boot" is unchecked.
To put the Sensation into Safe Mode, you may follow the steps 1.With the Device turned off 2.Press the power button briefly 3.keep holding the Volume down button once you see the splash screen (HTC quietly brilliant) 4. Once it loads you will see on the “Safe Mode” on the bottom left of the screen.
****, we are looking forward to your kind action and appreciate the time taken to write to us. Please feel free to contact us should you require further assistance.
Best Regards
June"
Apparently Optus kicked up a stink with HTC and made them fix this issue. There is a new Optus ROM but can't find it anywhere on here.
Just switched from iOS to Android (used to be an active member of the forums for WinMo), so forgive me as I know this has been asked before, but I didn't find any results in HTC ONE forum. I am having issues with the call history. It doesn't show a time only the date. There has to be a way to fix this on the stock dialer but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the settings. Any advice would be ideal. I prefer not to download a third party app for this fix but if this is the only way that would be fine, I guess. Thank you in advance.

Good question. 4.3 Sense 5
Date and time for text messaging only date for call history. It's annoying and I'm already over the 14 day mark otherwise I would return the device for that simple reason.

Yes, I'm have the same issue. I just got mine a week ago and installed the upgrade to 4.3 soon afterwards. The software on HTC One is not as intuitive as other phones I have had. The time of call is a basic and important part of call information, so it's beyond comprehension how anyone could leave this off.
I will contact HTC, and hopefully they will include a fix in their next update. How ridiculous to forget something like this. They seemed to have focused on doing a great job on the hardware and completely ignored UX on this phone.
Strange issue. I activated Project Fi yesterday on my Nexus 6 running lmy47z. Everything updated and works fine, however I keep getting prompted to do a system update to 5.1.1. I downloaded it and looked at the log in TWRP and its showing that it's trying to update me to lyz28e. I know lyz28e is the T-Mo build that enabled wi-fi calling among other things. I noticed that in my area I get better T-Mo coverage, hence my phone defaults to T-Mo when I run a *#*#344636#*#*. When I force to Sprint, the issue doesn't happen, however, my coverage is extremely poor, so this is not a good solution.
Here are my questions:
1.) Wi-fi calling already works on lmy47z, why do I need lyz28e?
2.) How do I get the prompt to stop coming up? Project Fi support told me to clear my project fi app cache... this did not work. I don't really want to flash to 28e if I don't have to.

Project Fi specifically states they dont recommend flashing specific builds, but have made it optionally available for those who wish to try it.

Try going to fi.google.com and sign into the account you registered for Fi with, then scroll down to the bottom, there should be a G+ button to click on.
If not there, it should be in the email that you received when your service was activated (the link to the community).

Just a quick update on this, after working with a few different Fi reps and their "higher ups" it was determined that the issue was caused by the build and it's interaction with the network. I flashed to 48C and have not had the issue since.

To clarify, now that your are on the LVY48C build, did the behavior of the phone in automatically switching between Sprint/T-Mobile change?
If anything, it's more seamless now. I haven't noticed anything more pronounced though.

I flashed the rooted version via twrp found here on xda. I'm on my phone so I don't have a direct link, but it's in a thread from one of the mods if you search for the build. It took fine without a full wipe (just wiped the sys and dalvik cache).

What about GSM sim and APN? Looks like "no sim" on screenshot.
Works good. Some minor issue.
Bluetooth isn't passing Pandora info to cars Bluetooth. Kk worked OK.
Setup wizards times out activating cellar service on every boot , canceling it kills it, and works regardless.
Texting/cdma/callls/lte are OK.
I've gotten a few random reboots, not sure if it's related to me and the stupid things I try. It was flawless until I started to add my personal daily driver apps.
Tethered 120Gb the past few days through it without issue. Gets warm, but I need to get my new battery installed.
Anything specific or logs just ask and I'll try hand supply them.
Much Michael appreciated work on the efforts to keep the m7 living strong! I have 4 more spares...
