Le 2 X528 model - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

Hi folks. I'm looking for a Le 2 which for the price is an awesome device. I'm planning to order it by a Chinese web, and in the web the sepcs says that the phone is an x528 model. In this forum I don't see that model, only x520 - x527. If I bought this model, I'll be able to install the custom ROMs for other models? I can't find the differences on internet so I'm asking for your help. Thanks In advance. Hope anyone can clear my mind.

If Google can't answer then no one can.

Go through eBay or some indian/us/Russian sites to buy this phone or contact to local retailer if they can manage ( obviously they will charge more).

XT860 Carriers around the world

Okay,
So I know we are all getting really frustrated that there have been no updates yet from Bell and we are unable to produce an SBF specifically for the XT860 (some have seen the ME863 ROM on their XT860 but AFIAK, that version cannot be rooted). I have been scouring the internet to find other carriers of the XT860 and have found the following:
- Vivo, a carrier in Brazil is carrying the XT860. I have no idea where to find the carrier's support page for the telephone because I don't speak portugeese : the carrier's website is at http://www.vivo.com.br
- Claro has just announced that they are offering the XT860 in Chile. Again, I don't understand Spanish, so I can't seem to get to the Carrier's specific support page, but here is the purchase page : http://www.clarochile.cl/equipo?eq=MOTOROLA_XT860
I was hoping someone who understands either (or both) of these languages could maybe get the support pages up? Maybe we can find some kind of XT860 specific files that we can create a restore process for.
ME863 can be rooted. There's a thread in the development section on the ME863. The problem is that the custom recovery doesn't work on it.

change moto for oneplus

hi, i have the oportunity to change my first gen moto x for a new oneplus one on the preorder , what would you people say? stay with moto or swap for the one? i love my moto x with the active display and the touchless controls and i dont want to miss any of this funcionalities. could someone help me with this dificult decision because i dont want to regret changing it.
I wouldn't, but that's just me. If you can afford to keep both, why not do that instead? If the 1+1 turns out to be lacking, you'd be stuck with it with the moto x gone...and no way to get another one new or custom made via motomaker. That said, hope it works out for you, whatever you decide is best for you.
I'd ask here, Asking in either devices section will obviously get you biased opinions from fans of each...

Need help rooting note 5 sm-n920r please

Ok I've read this forum for days as well as many other misc. Sites found on google. I've seen tons of different recommendations and ways of rooting my 920r4. I've also noticed that the other carriers seem to have many more threads directed toward their models. Here's what I want for my phone... I just need to know which one is the best choice for my phone. I have seen the issues with deep sleep and random reboots/call reboots ect and honestly just want some feedback from you guys as to what will work best. I know this is the place I'll find it. Thanks a lot guys and gals,
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sm-n920r4 (US Cellular)
Android 5.1.1
(If any more info is needed just let me know)
Just a bump to keep it near the top. Sorry but I really could use the advice of fellow us cellular note 5 users who have obtained root. Thanks in advance.
Well after more countless hours of searching I seem no closers to finding a way of rooting this device. Any help from the pros such as dr.Ketan or anyone who has a rooted 920r4 would be great. I just need a shove in the general direction.
I wish i could be of more help but i think you'll find you need someone who has a sprint rooted kernel to slightly adapt it to usc. Sprint and usc and extremely close in how their kernels and such work and in the general infrastructure design of their networks. Also see if there's anything on teamuscellular's forums.
I used to have usc and i always had the best luck working with sprint stuff with slight changes for usc....in the note 2 and 3 days....

The kernel is the reason for your random reboots etc and had been heavily addressed in other variants, but prob not usc....see if this kernel works for you...here's the link again http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/ind...-Kernel-Files---Odin-Flash---Root#entry170915

Stop hosting your roms on slow download servers

So this is coming from a very frustrated ROM flashaholic.
Can you, whom decides to upload to a file server, please stop using slow capped download servers like android file host? Because I'm getting about 100-200 kbs when I know I can get ten times that speed on other download servers. I want to see a blacklist of slow servers that take like 3 hours to download anything from that's a big file. Just because you happen to have a bad network or upload/download speed, doesn't mean everyone else should suffer from it.
This annoys me to no end. Please stop this douchebaggery.
AndroidFile host is good

so is BasketBuild
---------- Post added at 10:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:07 AM ----------
so is google drive. personal experience give me 1.6mbps.
AndroidFileHost is the best site you can use for downloads. It has different mirrors. And I would be happy that you have ROMs for your device. You may ask the ROM developer/maintainer if he can use another mirror.
Most developers use AFH which is fast enough.
In case u ever owned a Samsung device and downloaded an official firmware from sammobile u'd know what low download rates feel like. In addition u already paid for it by buying the device...
I'd not complain about sth u have access to for free...

Well, I hate slow servers too but you didn't list any alternatives for devs.
We don't get donations enough for a premium plan anywhere so....
couldnt agree more about this, but most do host there roms on speedy enuff servers

Custom Rom availability?

When we can expect Custom Roms for Asus Rog 3?
Its been a month now, Asus send ROG 3 to some developers for testing device with custom roms but sadly no news till date. Despite of Unofficial TWRP & Few Great Kernels, development for this beauty is very slow!
Hopefully soon:fingers-crossed: (good things come to those who wait)
I would love to try a stock-based ROM with a plethora of enhanced features and options.
This is a good but not a popular phone. So I guess it'll take some time before we get a custom ROM. It'll come but if the community isn't big they will not be huge support on those ROMs. I know that Asus offered the phone to some devs as Lineage OS and Dirty Unicorns, but nothing is sure they will develop anything for this phone.
Here the list of developers who got the phone

Omnirom is already in testing. There will be many custom roms in the near future.

Slow? Do it yourself then. Your one of the reasons devs left this place. Ungrateful.

I understand ur concern, I'm not that good to develop custom roms. And I respect the developers. I just asked when we can expect!

I doubt this isn't a popular phone.
Anyone who's into mobile gaming knows this kind of phones.
It's just that these gaming phones are highly not for everyone.
I mean, they probably saw in the mall, but:
~Mostly marketed at the same price as flagships = Expensive
~Too focused on gaming (both looks & specs), this will feel heavy to use for someone who just want a decent smartphone
Basically, these phones have its own community.

Yes, it is a niche market. So not popular as this is only for a limited amount of users interested by this kind of phone. I just look around me and nobody know this phone.
I have no doubt it is not a popular phone like a flagship from Samsung, Huawei or OnePlus. I am used to have non-popular phones as I choice my phone for it's spec and not for the quantity of bloatware offering useless options to me.

It is all I hope, but I just looked at the rog phone 2 forum yesterday and there were not that many, the support wasn't really here.
I am not in hurry to get custom ROM, as I use air triggers daily. But if one day there is a ROM developed especially for this phone with specific options dedicated to the rog phone 3.

Is there any board or group for any information about Omni? I saw the Rom for Rog 2 but there is no information or anything about that.
