Uninstall Remove Apps List - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know this has been asked multiple times but I can't seem to find a SAFE list of what you can remove via titanium backup with the Xperia Z3 tablet compact.
Also how much space would technically be free once such bloatwares are removed?

Install Titanium(free) from Play market, go to Menu-> batch and uninstall that pesky stuff.
Titanium FTW paid version is :good:better
Titanium is good for the power user, but...
I think SD Maid is a lot cleaner. Especially for beginners. :good:
I just go through the phone setting for aps and disable each one I dont want. That way if a reason arises I need an app I can reenable it.

Thats what Titanium can do by backing it up, also by dleting it you free up space so you can download more. Just disabling it keeps the apk on the device.
But the bloatware is installed to the system ROM memory, updates and other apps are installed to a separate partition in the phones memory this has been the case with all android phones I have owned, I have used titanium in the past but have never gained any space the system can optimise. Is this not the case with the Xperia T? Surely having titanium backup installed to freeze apps is retro active to this purpose when android has functionality now built in.

I am not talking about freezing the apps, I am taking about deleting them.
Also, you can move the apps to the system/app directory in a rooted device to make use of that space.

I used to do exactly that but when app update they would download the update to the other directory needing me to move that across aswell which sometimes stoped the app working required reboots and just made my phone a pain in the arse. in theroy yes via root that space become available to new apps but in my experience it is way more effort than it is worth plus it really confuses the market when you then uninstall those apps and keeps trying to push updates despite you uninstalling those now "system" apps. To be fair I dont think actions like that are necessary just a simple disable frees up the valuable resources like ram and cpu, on todays devices there is plenty of space, I have all the apps I ever needed installed on my device memory no apps2sd messing around and still have 1gb left for more apps if I ever need, combine that with the fact if I ever did run out of space I can easily then start moving apps over to the internal memory.
Also my solution to removing bloat and freeing up the resources it occupies works very nicely without root. Meaning it is ideal for the non power users. I just feel this mehtod is not shared enough. Not everyone has the knowhow to root and for non power users root is a waste of time.

Backing up APKs and Apps: What's the best?

Okay, so we all know that when we launch Samsung's Gear Manager, it instantly wants to restore the Gear and clear out all our apps and setting. What to do?
I have read up on the different backup services and apps and I want to know what everyone is using?
It seems like Titanium Backup is popular but the paid app. for the unrooted phones is expensive, when so many free apps are available. What makes it better? Any apps that batch restore all your apps possible?
I am using Google Drive to backup my APKs that I cant just download from the Google Play Store, but are the services and specifc apps any better? Hell, they seem to be backing up the data on Google Drives (GD) anyways. Seems like me just putting them on GD in the first place just saves me the space and time of downloading yet another app.
Have also read a little about some people hiding the APKs in subfiles and then just opening them up and installing them again. That seems like a useful idea but would love to know exactly where to hide the files.

New to Z3C - safe bloatware apps to remove?

I'm new to this forum so apologies for any mistakes.
Anyway ive come from the ipHone over to the Z3 Compact and noticed there are loads of pre apps installed which I don't want. Apps such as Talkback and Hangouts. Ive gone ahead and tried to disable these but wondered is there a list of 'safe' bloatware apps I can disable?
Also after i disable an app and click the back arrow, it always brings me back to the start of the Apps list (Starting with 'A'). Am i doing something wrong cause i assume when i click back it should take me back to the next item after the one i've just removed? For example if i disable the Talkback app, it takes me right back to the start of the apps and not the next one starting with 'T'??
Thanks

Which /system apps can be safely uninstalled?

I have recently upgraded my Xperia ZR to Lollipop 5.1.1 stock Sony ROM. I have rooted it. One big irritant I am facing is lack of internal storage space. Among the main culprits here are apps in /system (both /system/app as well as /system/priv-app) that are taking up precious space in internal memory (only 4.6 GB is user available out of total 8 GB) in the form of .DEX files.
My goal here is safety first. I know that I may not need them now, but I should be able to install them in future if necessary. Hence I am mainly looking at applications that are not required for normal functioning of the phone and could be installed from the Play Store if necessary later (considering that so many are already on the Play Store including many Sony applications)
Do all these applications necessarily need to run as system applications for their proper functioning? If I can install them as a regular user app, I can use Link2SD and send both the APK and DEX files to SD card with a link on internal memory thus greatly saving space.
Here are some I have shortlisted:
Google applications
1. Maps
2. YouTube
3. Google Search (the APK is called Velvet) - I do not use Google Search app, I do not want OK Google.
4. Drive - I do not use it now. May be in future.
5. Chrome - it is just a browser. Will it not work equally well as a user app?
Sony applications
1. File Commander (not exactly a Sony application but available on the Play Store and is already pushing ads, is there any unique functionality that only File Commander can provide and not other file browser? WiFi Direct?)
2. Album - is it not available on Play Store too? Can I install it from there?
3. Movies - same as Album.
4. Walkman or Music
5. What's New - not needed for me.
6. Movie Creator - I doubt I will be routinely stitching up videos on the phone. Still it would be nice to have in case needed in future.
7. Podcast - I do not listen to podcasts now but in future if the situation changes.
8. Movie Creator - there are 2!!!!!
9. Xperia with Facebook
10. Xperia Lounge Pass
11. Sony Music
12. Xperia with Twitter
13. Xperia Calender Sync - seems to deal with Facebook
14. Xperia Social Engine****
Please go through the list and suggest.
Greetings, you are on the same boat as I am, and yes I have uninstalled all the apps you have mentioned in the list. I have deleted even some other apps too. Also you may wanna keep "whats new" >> This app is like the update center so any new OS updates will be shown from here only and Xperia ZR will have a bug fixing update soon.

Webview is needed by many applications to display webcontent right? What did you mean by 'its same bugs'?
Exchange probably is related to Microsoft Exchange which is a corporate email thingy(?) and hence I too may not need it.
What about Chrome? I actually am a Firefox person but some sites may need Chrome. Hence I want to keep it but does it really need to be a system app?
For example ; Application details in Google play store can't not show.. Iys says play store stopped.. And My sms Application Truemessenger is too.. Stopped..
I don't use Chrome.. Deleted.. I use lovely Dolphin browser with Flash.player

I don't remember them now, because using CM. Also why not try TB feature ? If space is your concern, sort apps by size and you will get which useless app is eating your internel memory. Also use "backup > verify > uninstall app" when un installing imp system apps. If they cause FC , you can restore them later.
Yeah its a pretty old device, soon you may be the only one (Hunting for the next Mobile )

Also some apps may seem like redundant (2 movie creator apps ) but in reality they are very useful. One used for merging and editing Video clips and the other used for PlayMemories Slideshow for album. These apps are very small in size and doesn't clog your internals. Look for the big one.
You shouldn't uninstall system apps, as they won't free up any space; if you want to free space, uninstall the apps on the /data partition, i.e. the apps that you can uninstall normally. If you want to improve performance, just disable the app in question. Deleting it does absolutely nothing that disabling wouldn't do at much less risk. I'm a little surprised nobody else has pointed this out.

Despite phone being rooted I can't uninstall certain pre-installed apps

I have an Xperia Z1 with Android 5.1.1 which I have rooted. Using Solid Explorer I was able to uninstall certain pre-installed system apps like Google+, News and Weather, Google Notes and other ones. However, I cannot uninstall other pre-installed system apps like Sony Notes, PS Video and What's New.
Does anybody know why this would not work? I thought once I've got root I can do anything with the phone... Could I simply browse to /system on the phone, remove some folders and reboot to get rid of the remaining useless pre-installed system apps? So far I used Solid Explorer because I think clicking an app is safer than removing random folders.
