speaker randomly decreasing volume, but volume set to max - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hey guys I've had a oneplus 3t for about 2 weeks now and I'm using freedom OS 1.2 rooted with Magisk v 10.2. I do not have any sound mods install and I'm using the kernel that comes with freedom OS. When using phone speaker, randomly during sound playback, volume will decrease by itself and volume controls will show max or whatever last volume level was set. Sometimes the speaker will completely mute, but volume would be set to max. Any suggestions guys?

Ringer Problem, Please

When your at the volume menu It say "System" on the left and "Ringer" on the right. When i put my ringer volume on sound (low to high) and than exit the volume, i notice when i get a call my ringer does not sound. So i go back to check my volume and my ringer isn't on anything. The problem is my ringer volume will not stay on, yet my system volume is perfectly fine. Any Suggestions?
Thanks, Matt
Yes, I had the same problem last night. If both the System and Ringer volumes are set to max, then occasionally the ringer volume will drop down to zero, and you then find yourself in the dog house with your girlfriend because she thinks you've been ignoring her calls.
It's a known bug, and is discussed HERE
I've found the best solution so far for me it to have the System volume set to max and the Ringer volume one step away from max.

Volume control too coarse

My setup:
AT&T Tilt with AT&T stock WM 6.1 firmware
HTC Audio Manager 2.0 Build 1819.2129
30 ohm impedance headphones connected to default audio adapter
When playing back a song in Audio Manager, the volume control is too coarse. At the lowest level, there is of course no sound. At the next level up, it's way too loud. Is there any way to make the volume control more fine grained?
I have this same problem. Audio manager is missing volume control and the system volume control is either nothing (lowest bar) or loud (2nd bar) and ear splitting on up.
If you use windows media player, it has a volume control which decreases the percentage of the volume from the system. So say you have it on the 2nd volume bar which is loud in Audiomanger. Open up WMP and lower the volume to 50% and it will lower the overall system volume to 50% of the 2nd bar. This affects audio manager and the whole system though. If you leave it on 10% in WMP then turn a speaker phone call all the way up it is only 10% of full volume, which sucks. So you have to go into WMP and change the volume percentage before and after you use audio manger which is a hassle.
Is there a better version of Audio Manager that has volume controls? I know the earlier versions did but I am using Manila2D and want the nice display and a volume control!

Volume too Loud

I've searched around but without any luck. Most people have problems with too low volume.
I have 6.5 on a flashed rom and the volume on music playback is very loud. On the Manila music widget the volume is quite loud on the speaker and almost too loud on headphones--and that is with the system volume at the lowest level.
When I use WMP I get volume control, but even then I have to put the volume to its lowest setting at 5% for it to be comfortable with headphones on.
Any ideas on how to adjust this? Thanks.

[Q] Z1 ringtone sound volume bug

Hello.
Right after I updated my Z1 (via OTA) to latest KitKat 4.4.2 ,, I started to notice a bug with the level of the sound for the ringtone!
When I am going to the control settings to control the volume of the sound for my ringtone ,,, after setting on max. it is still sounding very low,,, right when I am pressing on OK button to apply,, it's making a very short and high volume beep from that specific ringtone, after which the volume of the ringtone is still low, only when I go to the volume control settings and max. it again,, then it is keeping my desired volume level ! But during the day at some point it is again going low :/
Is this a bug that anybody else has experienced since the latest update and if so, is there a solution to fix this ?
Thanks

The volume of the ringtone is reduced spontaneously.

Some time ago I updated my Xperia Z1 to firmware .157.
Since then it happens that the incoming call ringer volume is very low. So I increased the volume on the audio settings. But the next call volume is still low. By controlling the audio settings of course I find the volume slider much lower as I had previously set.
What could be the solution?
Thanks.
