So, I was curious, what are people's thoughts on some of the tech news websites out there?
I'm talking about CNET, Engadget, Gottabemobile, etc. etc. Any opinions or recommendations out there?
Personally, I originally liked Engadget until I found out they seemed a touch biased towards the iPhone, but lately, with the iPhone 4 fiasco, they have been showing their ability to be fairly neutral....That is, of course, until they almost completely trashed my new tablet PC in a review a few weeks back.
CNET seems to be pretty stable and gaining in reputation, but their news does seem to be a bit slanted as well.
I have seen a lot of websites give XDA lots of respect over the past year though, that really feels good.
Try Digital Reviews (I'm biased ).
Engadget is the best i think. Lots of pictures and detailed info.
Gizmoto.com is good lots of strange tech

They definitely know how to cover products and SOME events. I think they pour all their resources into covering Apple events, and I know that it's just great for traffic, but you got to have that techie conscience that tells you to put equal effort into other events as well!

But I invite you to make an application/tweak/theme/skin/ROM, etc and for sure will be published

CNet covers who pays them the most ad money. That tends to be Apple.
Gizmodo for some reason is huge Apple fanboy bias.
Endadget has some slight bias but not as much as the others which is why I tend to stick with them out of all the other blogs.

Just read a really nice article on how the white iPhone 4 won't be available until "later this year" because the glass company isn't supplying enough.... Isn't this like the 3rd setback so far for this phone????

I thought most of it was good, but towards the end i asked myself "am i bored" which is never a good sign. It was an ok movie, but not great imo

I did enjoy it, but felt like I was waiting for something to happen that never did. Good film though, and I do rate Saoirse Ronan as an actor, especially for her age.

I agree, finished watching the second half on the way home from London this evening, good concept just not deep enough.
After 3 to 4 months of EXTREME hard work (workload level: over 9000),
I finished a video clip I made for an awesome band, Face Tomorrow.
This was my first real animation job, since the previous animated short
was made for a minor, Imagination, at my university TUDelft.
The clip was created using mainly: Photoshop, After Effects and 3ds Max.
A great source of inspiration was for instance the game Limbo,
because Limbo's atmosphere tells a touching story on its own.
Would you mind taking a look and giving me your honest opinion?

I think that you might find it hard to design the new HTC smartphone without actually working for HTC.
There is also a lot more to designing a phone than just scribbling a couple of ideas on paper and scanning them to FB - beware that HTC could actually sue you under the copyright and patents laws for what you've done as well.
This is just my phone concept, which by the way I sent to HTC to get their opinion on the subject. I'm a big fan of HTC and I want to support them with new fresh ideas.
Not really seeing much here. No dimensions, little care put into the line work. It's cool if you want to submit your ideas but if you want a multi-million dollar company to take you seriously you need to take your work seriously and it's clear that you didn't spend very long on this. I could shower you with candy and rainbows but I think the truth is a bit more helpful in the long-run.

You may be right ... This design is more suitable for polycarbonate unibody case. Then the antenna can be stored in other locations.
What do you think that should be done to keep the aluminum housing?
Also, www.alibre.com. Download the free version, teach yourself. You'll get a lot more respect, and won't have to pay for something like Solidworks, which is much better, but not cheap.

Watched most of the review and agree with basically everything this guy is saying. The Nexus 7 is a great device and well worth the cheap, cheap price tag.

My only complaint would be that it wasn't quite as in depth as I would have liked. However considering the limited amount of time you had to cover the whole subject, I think you did well to fit it in. I look forward to a more in depth review in the future.
