I have Official RR ROM and have ext4 file system but since 31 Jan build which I cant flash TWRP says its error 7, the line says the following:
Comparing TZ version TZ.BF .4.0.1 - 76917 to TZ.BF .4.0.1 -00287.2
assert failed: oppo.verify_trustzone("TZ.BF .4.0.1 -76917") == "1"
Updater process ended with ERROR : 7
Please would someone help me the link for rom is https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/development/rom-kernel-resurrectionremix-n-t3524715
I have tried wiping the system but still it doesnt work, I tried wiping data, cache and dalvik cache but still it didnt work I have TWRP version 3.0.3-1 and the ROM is of 28 Jan build
Make sure the file you flashing is for the OP3T.
It is for OP3t
I have made sure its for my device
Not for sure but I find error 7 usually come up when not enough space in system partition.
I have plenty of space
I have almost 90 GB of free space
It means you are running old phone firmware package (also called TZ package). You'll need 4.0.2 TZ for newer Lineage OS based ROMs like RR, you can get it in the unofficial Lineage OS thread in this forum (koenkks).
I already have RR of 28th Jan build so I couldnt update to 31st Jan build it says error 7

Flash the LATEST firmware bro.
Link : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767134786
Flash it before installing the ROM. No need to wipe anything.
Hope it helps.
If you're on the latest twrp and are wanting to use a rom that's based of 4.0.2 which is petty much all of then except FreedomOS 1.3, you'll need to flash either the flashable firmware zip or the full ota zip.

It's necessary to flash because developer has mentioned it in the Thread of the ROM unless ROM won't flash.
READ THE THREAD OF ROM CAREFULLY!

Just to make things clearer for you, firmware is the piece of software running in certain hardware like modem, bluetooth and wifi making it possible for driver/kernel to access the hardware. Therefore it's important to have compatible firmware software in these devices to make sure the driver/kernel will work with the hardware. If your running an old firmware and a newer kernel you'll run into different bugs like non working wireless, unstable wireless, buggy bluetooth connection in cars and/or with other bluetooth services and so on.
Error 7 is a real pain... I myself wasted a couple of days with it. The issue I had is an outdated firmware. Used this guide to get an idea of fixing it.

I don't have the 2017 version, but what does it say? Can't you flash the system via fastboot? Or use stock recovery and force update to update it? Just remember that you need a FULL package. On most Huawei phones you can just flash a FULL package I'm TWRP. Just OTA doesn't work because it doesn't include a full system.img most of the times.

Sorry, I meant installing, not restoring. It's just bascally downloading the ROM, extracting the contents using Huawei update extractor, and using ADB to push the files in. You will need to reinstall TWRP and Root afterwards..Google is your friend, there are instructions out there, as there are 3 ways to install the stock ROM: using the updater on your phone, using the key combo, and the 3rd one being ADB.
After browsing through the new Oreo threads, there were again a lot of users with issues related to new bootlaoder and firmware.
So to avoid that I tried installing the new Beta 25 without any firmware files only updating system and boot, and that seam to work just fine.
It was the same with back than fron android MM to N.
To install the image you need the new TWRP linked here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74154185&postcount=37
But its enough to boot the new TWRP with fastboot it does nto have to be flashed.
Here is the Oxygen OS Beta 25 zip without firmware for OnePlus 3: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579485163
Anyone tried this? It's just simple install oreo twrp over my standard twrp, and then just install the cooked oreo zip??

Hi everyone, after seeing a lack of TWRP flash-able roms I decided to upload this, it is the latest stock rom of the Xiaomi A1, pre-rooted (although I attached stock kernel if you rather go root free)
Instructions:
First of all have at least 30% power on your device to avoid any power down during flash and possible bricking
1. In TWRP select zip and flash, please note that this will flash both A/B partitions (but not userdata partition)
2. After done, reboot
What's the use of this ZIP? if your like me and not always next to your PC to flash fastboot roms or if you want to return to stock or downgrade etc, you can do it using this.

Use this to boot TWRP (fastboot boot [twrp_Image.img]):
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962157660013069602
then flash this from external SD
http://www.mediafire.com/file/338o7cl72z52rzz/twrp-3.2.1-1-installer-tissot-FIXED_By_DroiDMester.zip
After that internal/external will mount fine, the key is having it flashed, otherwise they don't mount if booted

I have a question. After flash I directly flash stock boot.img, after boot to system and let everything settle down I boot back to recovery and it is now the stock recovery. Does this mean if there's OTA in future I can apply it?

Yes, I've used it in the UK and it worked great.
I wouldn't try and just do an upgrade though. I tried that going form 10.0.3 to 10.04 and it made a right mess.
I always completely wipe using MSM tool and then upgrade and then apply ADB recovery, Magisk and then Viper etc.
Much safer.
