I have tried almost everything to unlock my tablet, but nothing wil work. I get various errors when i try to load pin bypassers, and FRP lock is enabled. I cant do anything to get this tablet working. It was supposed to be a display model for a local wal mart but the display wasnt set up. It is locked by the crossmark company and i have no idea where to look for help. Anything is appreciated
Have you installed the stock firmware then booted to recovery and factory reset?

You need to flash via Odin, you can't flash it with recovery.
You need to put the device in download mode not recovery.

Is this device running lollipop or marshmallow?
I'm afraid there's not much can be done with this tablet if it's stuck in demo mode.
The normal procedure is to install twrp then factory reset and then flash stock firmware.
However because this device has a locked bootloader you won't be able to flash anything custom such as recovery.
There's a chance that if this device is running lollipop you can try and root with kingroot then follow the procedure to convert to supersu.
With that you can install Flashfire then factory reset and install the stock firmware with that.

Hello there,
I am Belgian so i'm gonna try to do my best to find my english somewhere
I have a samsung galaxy s3 mini gt-i8190..
I have tried to flash with odin thru pda BUT it stopped with fail as result..
Then i have tried to put original firmware back the same way but fail again,
then tried again with same original firmware and succeeded..
Phone froze at samsung logo, tried again and now i got the message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Ok, so i plug the phone back in the usb cable: Device Not Recognized! (windows 7 ultimate laptop).
I can get in to download mode: still not recognized via usb.
recovery mode DOESN'T work at all (3 button combo) just the error message at the normal boot and the download mode.
So basically i can't flash cause i can't connect, reinstalled drivers, used another pc, same thing...
It doesn't even charge the phone..
Odin mode says:
Product name: GT-I8190
Custom Binary Download: YES (4 counts)
Current binary: Custom
System status: Official
So does there somehow any file exists to put on my sd card to access usb OR a file to go into recovery mode.
Any tip is welcome, will try them all..
Thanks by advance,
yoni089
Have you tried installing Samsung's USB Driver? I know installing kies comes with the USB drivers but just in case. You might want to check if it's properly installed in your computer. Try reseting your counter first with Triangle Away. Please tell me more of what you did.
Click on the thanks button if I helped!
Change usb port and make sure all processes with kies are killed in taskmanager.
Open Odin. Put the phone in download mode and connect usb.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply's
I did install Odin first, when i flashed my phone it failed..
So i decided to install kies to make sure i had the right drivers,
Uninstalled Kies without the drivers. The phone was still recognized back then!!
Flashed it again and again FAIL!
Since then NOTHING works with the usb connection, windows does not recognize my phone "unknown device".
So it doesnt even know what it is..
Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, rebooted my laptop with battery out for a minute but nothing works..
Also i tried to connect to another pc but no luck..
So i guess the key on my phone for the driver to find is missing/deleted by flashing and failing..
That's why i asked if there is any file to putt on my sd card to be recognized by my computer.
I did tried many times using another usb port..
Also tried with and without sim card/ sd card.
(btw: does they have to be in there anyway?)
Thnx and grtz,
Yoni089

I know that, my connection worked fine i did see the com: port in odin and it said "added!".
then i started flashing again and suddenly "fail", got the triangle, went back to download mode, tried to connect again and windows OR Odin didn't recognized my phone anymore, device not recognized and no "com:" in odin.
Tried different ports, battery out for a minute, no sim, no sd, reinstalled drivers, nothing works..
That's the point why i made this thread cause i see no solution in this anymore, if i have no usb connection i can't flash ( OR IS THERE A WAY???), if i can't flash i probably can't get usb connection..
thx for the effort

With what you're saying, it seems something has gone corrupt. Maybe a binary or an image. Flashing a rom using your phone might fix this but it's not a 100% success. It might destroy your phone more or fix it. It's a 50/50... :fingers-crossed:

No kies, correct drivers, tried different ports. Then I don't know. Are you using original USB cable?
I once got a bad flash like you did, but at least Odin detected it and I was able to flash this firmware with repartition, because official stock fw didn't work for me neither.

Was running stock 5.0.1 with a decrypted boot.img. Rooted, unlocked, modified build.prop, TWRP, Franco kernel. Lost ability to connect to a PC, so I can't update manually (that's for another conversation). So I need the 5.1 OTA. I unrooted through SuperSu, flashed stock recovery and stock kernel. Did a factory reset. For some reason, my build.prop stayed modified.
The OTA will download, but fails to install...simply saying "error." Any advice on what could be preventing the OTA from installing?? I was hoping this update would fix my device-to-PC connection.
Thanks

Thanks for your help. So if I have stock rom, stock recovery, and stock kernel, why would the OTA fail? I thought unrooting and factory reset would have and put everything back to original. I’m just trying to get the update. Do I need to clean up any other system files? Without root access, I can’t change my build.prop back to original, but I wouldn’t think that would have any effect.
I'm on a Nexus 6 by the way.

Does the phone boot-up? If yes enable usb debugging and you should get connected and the phone is recognised.. Test if the device is recognised in adb with cmd terminal: adb devices and in fastboot/bootloader: fastboot devices.
Try downloading the latest fastboot drivers, I had the same issue and until i installed the latest ones, it wasnt being detected.

Yes, phone boots up and runs fine. USB debugging is enabled, but still not recognized. At best, I'll get an "unknown device" in device manager. I can't get the Nexus Root Toolkit to recognize it either, even after using the USBDeview.

Doesnt indicate anything. Data connection uses more USB pins than charging.. Double check your USB port to check for obstruction or pin damage.
Thanks everyone. I've tried multiple cables and multiple computers. Still nothing. At best, I can only get my phone to show up as an "unknown device" in device manager. Then when I manually install the Google drivers, it says "drivers already installed." Or it will install the drivers in like 1 second and finish. But still no connection. I'll keep trying. Otherwise, I'm screwed and will need to keep my non-rooted device on 5.0.1.

You are correct, you needed to enable developer options in settings and then turn on OEM unlocking as well as USB debugging.
You can download Samsung Kies software and restore the phone to original firmware by entering model and s/n. Once you've restored the phone, enable those aforementioned items and start over.

You'll need to be booted into Download mode to use Kies. I've done it at least half a dozen times on 4 different devices.

Hi,
my Note 9 started having some signal issues on 3G and LTE network since Android 10 and I wanted to solve this problem by installing an Android Pie firmware but it didn't work, so I've decided to install a custom ROM from Dr.Ketan and I was following the instructions from a YT video and I think I've mistaken something, because after installing/flashing (I don't know the right word for this) that CP and BL files is Odin it started to reboot but can't and displayed this error when it tried to turn on: kernel rev check fail device 6 binary 5 . I have the stock Android 10 firmware from SAMMOBILE but I can't install it because I can't get to the download mode because as I wrote I can't turn on the phone because of the mentioned error.
So my question is what should I do to fix this problem? If there isn't any solutions for this problem I'll take it to a service but if there is a solution I'll try to fix it for myself.

No, I can't.
You probably was trying to odin earlier version of bootloader over a new one.
Find the latest firmware for your phone in sammobile. Extract BL and flash again.
Even when you turn on the phone and there is whatever error shown just flash it with odin. That should work normally. Or you can flash the whole firmware if you want.
try holding vol down+bixby button and plug in your usb cable to computer ?

Just saw your post.
Here is <Tab S2> forum so you better ask in phone section.
Btw. Afaik in download mode the device is only found by Odin not the PC. So you can flash stock ROM still.
That sees it only in recovery mode or when ROM has started.

I tried with Odin but the phone doesn't appear there. I think it's because the usb debugging need to be turn on and actually there is no android

I've never tried without turned on debugging so idk.
Tried other cables/USB ports already?
If a TWRP is working what about flashlng any old custom ROM with it?
I once flashed a friends S2 with LOS 14 or higher but had to repartition it to be able to.
@TheHaterBg seems not necessarily to be turned on.
Which Odin used?
