The latest one

Just flashed and everything seems to have worked, I'm at the Samsung Welcome screen now. I did have to use Large Address Aware on the adb executable to get it to work, but other than that it was straightforward.

1. Go to settings -> System -> about and verify that the build number ends with DPK5. If not try running software update or use samsung smart switch to try updating
2. If the build is DPK5 make sure your adb version is at least 1.0.32 (if you type just adb it should say version 1.0.## at the top)
3. Copy/Download the file from the first page of this thread to the same folder as your adb executable (not really necessary, but makes things easier)
4. download Large Address Aware from https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/ (at the bottom of the first post)
5. Run it and navigate to the ADB executable, then make sure the checkbox is selected and hit save
6. Turn off your S6
7. Hold down home + power + volume up to enter recovery mode
8. Wait until you get a menu of choices
9. use the volume keys to navigate the menu and select Install update from ADB
10. in the command prompt window (in the adb folder) run adb sideload FILENAME where FILENAME is the name of the update file
11. From that point it took about 30 minutes to install and 10 minutes to boot, but it worked for me.
Make sure to double check your firmware version, as if that's not DPK5 it won't work (at least on s6 non-edge version)

First, from that about screen click Software Update - See if that does anything (make sure you're on AT&T's network and have service, you don't have to turn WIFI off though)
If not, try installing Samsung smart switch on your computer http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/smart-switch
and on your phone.
Plug in your phone, open the app on your pc, follow any prompts and wait a few minutes to see if it offers an update.
If not, (and make sure you've backed up your data, apps, contacts, etc...) try clicking more in the top right and click Emergency Software Recovery and Initialization. This may just factory wipe and reinstall the same version, but it might also update and install the new version. Either way it will wipe your phone.
If that doesn't work I'm not entirely sure how else to help, though there are definitely others in this forum that have more experience in forcing and update.

Hey guys
I have made a flashable .zip for twrp, but I can't test it now because I'm at work rn. Can anyone try it on G920A and G920F as well?

Are you sure this is for the AT&T G920A? As far as I'm aware, the bootloader on the ATT Galaxy S6 and S6 edge is not unlockable and therefore custom recoveries (like TWRP) are not possible.

Didn't know it was locked bootloader :/
Yes, it is from the G920A firmware given on first post. I extracted all and modified getprop stuff on updater-script.

rooting galaxy tab 10.1v (working)

hi, this is how i managed to get root working on my tab, everything went fine for me till it came to booting into recovery then nothing use to happen so i combined two separate guides to get it working. thanks (bcmobile and 411tecknology)
the command in "(getting root 5) )" worked for me as i was getting stuck with "fastboot flash recovery skitzandroid-recovery.img"
i unlocked the bootloader by firmware upgrade the the following
for all those people like me with no experience in dos commands or linux, hope this works for you
PREPARE:
1) With your Tab in fastboot mode (step 1 of “GETTING ROOT” below), make sure you have a working fastboot implementation:
working dir\\fastboot devices
If all is well, you should see your device serial number. If there is a problem, you won’t get any response.
2) Downlad the two files attached to this thread
3) create a folder in drive c naming it "root"
This will be referred to as the working directory throughout the rest of this guide
4) Copy skitzandroid-10-1v-root.zip to your working directory (DO NOT UNZIP!) c: root
5) Extract the skitzandroid-recovery.img file from skitzandroid-stock-recovery.zip to your working folder. Your working folder( c: root) should now have 1 IMG file and one ZIP file.
6) copy fastboot files to the the folder that you are going to use as working dir ( c:root)
7) Copy the skitzandroid-10-1v-root.zip file to the root of your sdcard. You can eithe drag/drop, or run:
working dir or c:\root>adb push skitzandroid-10-1v-root.zip /sdcard
GETTING ROOT:
1) Power off your Tab and power it back on, while holding the VOLUME DOWN button.
2) When the DOWNLOAD / FASTBOOT icons appear, press VOLUME DOWN again to select FASTBOOT icon (the one with the USB logo) and press VOLUME UP to confirm selection.
3) Confirm you are now in fastboot mode and do a:
fastboot devices
If all is well, you should see your device serial number.
4) Open a terminal / CMD prompt and CD to your working folder
keep doing cd.. until you get to "c:>" then
cd/root
5) Run the following command:
c:\root> fastboot boot skitzandroid-recovery.img
..and wait. It might not look like anything is happening but it is.
6) You should now have a recovery menu. Use the volume rocker (up/down navigates menu options)
to select “Install zip from SDCARD” (or something like that)
7) Navigate to the root of your internal storage (/sdcard), select the skitzandroid-10-1v-root.zip file and press (tap!) the POWER button to confirm selection.
Once complete, use the Volume rocker to select “REBOOT” from the menu and press (tap!!!) the POWER button to confirm selection.
9) YOUR’RE DONE. Press the thanks button on this thread to continue
TESTING:
Check your apps menu to confirm the existence of SuperUser app.
whats wrong with this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079781
Nothing!
I used it on UNLOCKED 10.1v (not from Vodafone) and had no data loss!
Great, Thanks
Frank
I do not understand: 3) Confirm you are now in fastboot mode and do a:
fastboot devices
If all is well, you should see your device serial number.
Where do I enter this data?
I mean - fastboot deviсes

once you start your device in fastboot mode and connect it with the computer to make sure your device is recognized by the computer you open command prompt take it to your working dir.. (ie. c:>root) in our case type fastboot devices and hit enter, if your computer recognized your device you will the serial number under it.

assuming you have installed sdk if not please do so, then staying in sdk go to
(C:\android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools ) by clicking your mouse in desktop
(not cmd prompt). above eg.. is how i installed sdk on my desktop yours may be different, now in platform-tools you will see two files called fastboot copy them both to to your folder called ..root.. and you are set to go.
bottom line is if you want to start fastboot from any folder in cmd you have to have these two files in the folder.
also if you know that your device is detected by your computer dont worry about step 3. all it does is tell you that your device is connected.
I have all turned out, the problem was the drivers. I copied the driver from pdanet and it worked!

please help
You need the drivers installed for fastboot, have you installed them? Please have a look at the [Guide] Unlock your bootloader thread. it contains all the details to get fastboot working.
thank you...finally did it

The easiest way if you are rooted is to install rom manager from the market. It has an option to reboot to recovery if you have CWM installed. It also allows you to update to the latest CWM recovery if there is one.
i've tried putting the TB Galaxy 1.0.9: Honeycomb 3.1 + TouchWiz UX and i made a mistake... in cwm i've uploaded the zip file only with the update and not the rom itself.since then the tab won't start...it stop's in the beggining at the "samsung galaxy tab 10.1v"...any ideea...what can i do ?
Download latest rom and instructions from samfirmware.com using odin Get ur tab into fastboot mode with 3 button recovery and start from scratch.
It should work out

Do the following. If you have not yet odin.
Download the full rom.
Follow instructions in how to get into fasboot in sticky thread.
Once in fastboot you can load recovery via it, to do that download the recovery from droidbasement.com/blog, search on pershoot's website for recovery 4.0.4 if i remember correctly then type
fastboot boot recovery.img
where recovery.img is the name of the file you downloaded from droidbasement.com
Recovery will then load give it a minute or so.
Once loaded you can push the downloaded full rom via adb. That is part of the android sdk.
Like this: adb push romfile.zip /data/media/ (this will take a few minutes)
Then in cwm instal rom.
I hope it helps. Btw, remember you need to flash the wipe script of the rom before you install the rom if you are comming from stock.

Still me, posting in yet another thread. Still can't get the proper drivers. Pda method is not working. Which version of PDanet should I use ? The latest ? This is ****ing irritating...
I'm used to have to struggle to get things work at the beginning, but with my Magic and Hd2 it was a matter of hours...not weeks ! I'm sure it's something stupid but everybody deserted these guides topics...
I'm actually considering posting in the Dev section just to get attention...
Also, pershoot blog's advices are a joke : with no tags, a not working search field, no categories, try to find an info ! Knowing that the word "Recovery" will pop about 3 times per subject, I'm good to spend the week-end searching...

Do you guys edit the inf file with Wordpad or another tool ?

Not sure but maybe after doing this and obtaining root you can flash over to decrap rom or revolt rom and maybe that would fix the issues? Just a thought

I believe the users that have a failed downgrade had a problem with the .TOT file being downloaded properly and they probably had the phone in CDMA mode only when the phone should be in LTE/CDMA mode.
But if anything, they may have unplugged the phone before the program finished because the phone looks like it's done being flashed but the flash program says it's 80-90% complete.
Make sure you DO NOT unplug the phone until the flash program say it's safe to do so.
A note to all. If you have the drivers installed form earlier. UNINSTALL THEM!
Then restart. Install Verizon's drivers when you first plug your phone in while in 'Mass Storage' and THEN install those drivers. I had some problems getting it to work but that fixed it a bunch. Also, if you are getting a 0x800 error while trying to install the DLL, open CMD with Admin privileges and then 'regsvr32.exe "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\Models\VS290.dll" and it should install correctly.' I would suggest rebooting after this then running the tool.

You can try to update the drivers.
Reboot.
Turn on LGNPST.
Plug the phone to a DIFFERENT USB port.
Make sure USB Debugging is switched on on the phone.
Wait for the phone to install.
Voila.
I think LGNPST may have a refresh problem but that is what repaired the issue for me.
This Method works and is the same way I recovered my last Revo. Not sure what may have caused the issues for that phone. Using this method on the new replacement has been successful and still no problems with the phone. Did a S1C and rooted successfully and installed CWM using ADB without a hitch. Then came decrap 1.1 Life is great.
Having problems installing "VS910.dll" file. I keep getting an error. Tried Crax0r's suggestion and no dice.
You have to unzip the directory. Once that is done then the option will appear. If you still need help tonight then you might find me on irc. Im sure i can help you there. Message me if you dont figure it out.

Flashing 6.0.1 with Encryption Enabled?

Hey guys!
FIRST - A HUGE thanks to everybody that has done the legwork and research finding the MM files and also those that have uploaded them for download!
SECOND - I have the 925A that I've been running on Cricket. Since Cricket does not officially support the Edge, I've been having to periodically flash the past updates or I've used Odin. Because I am running a Cricket SIM, I cannot do OTA updates.
However, I just recently enabled encryption on my device. Will this affect me trying to do further updates by flashing? Do I need to disable encryption? (I thought I read in the past that this is not possible.) I obviously don't want to brick my phone.
Also, I am currently on OI2 and I've seen that it seems PD6 needs to update from OJ9. All of the posts I've seen say to OTA to OJ9 before flashing. Since I can't OTA I would have to flash OJ9 first. I can't find the file for OJ9 to download. Any help finding it would be appreciated.
Listen, I again want to say thanks to everybody who contributes here. I have been a lurker here for quite some time since I first bought my Nexus 5 and the amount I have learned has been invaluable. I wish I knew enough to contribute in some way. Just know that everybody's work does not go unappreciated!
EDIT - I realize now this probably should have been posted in Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting. Can a Mod move this if it is necessary?
Instructions on how to get 6.01 on G925A
1. YOU MUST HAVE OJ9 update on your phone.
2. Check "about devices" under baseband version.
3. Download all files from this link
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B04l-XMi07VKdkY0ZExzeEVHcFk
4. Open adb fastboot (MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS CONNECTED TO YOUR PC)
5. Put this file (SS-G925AUCU3BOJ9-to-U3CPD6-UP) in your main PC directory C:\ and change the name
SS-G925AUCU3BOJ9-to-U3CPD6-UP to OTA and place a copy of OTA in your phone main directory.
6. Shutdown phone.
7. Restart phone by holding down the POWER, HOME, and UP button at the same time. DONT release until you get an UPDATE LOGO on your phone.

when you downloaded the files, one of them was the SS-G925AUCU3BOJ9-to-U3CPD6-UP. Rename this file to OTA and put OTA file on your computer directory C:\ (so the adb fastboot application can find it).

Thank you very much, works wonders on my S6 EDGE G925 AT & T
Everything went perfect me.
Thank you.
Thanks, but unfortunately I am on OJ7, and I tried to update OTA telling me I am up to date, I don't know how to use odin and I need to instal marshmallow im my device. Any help ?
My baseband version is G925AUCU1AOCE so I dont have OJ9. Can you please tell me how I can update to OJ9 first?
When I check for update, it says my device has the latest firmware (which is obviously wrong).

How To Guide [OneUI 4.0 Beta 1 & 2](EXYNOS) Update.zip for S21 / Plus / Ultra - Download OTA Link

So, now that we have OneUI 4.0 Beta 1 rolling out to countries (ofc only 7), it has come so far in Germany & Korea (as far as I know). So the rest of the world wants an update.zip link, so don't be selfish and please, if you have one, capture the .bin file and share it in this thread.
How to capture:
I:
Install HTTP Canary app: https://m.apkpure.com/httpcanary-—-http-sniffer-capture-analysis/com.guoshi.httpcanary
1. Load canary
2. Start the update download but don't pause it.
3. Go back to canary and start that and it will grab the link.
(easiest method, by AndrzejDwo)
II:
Follow this: https://www.androidjungles.com/how-to-capture-ota-update-url-for-android/
If someone uploads it to the internet, you'll find the link/s in the second post in this thread.
[UPDATE] New link for the S21 Ultra (Exynos) - down on the second
[UPDATE2] You can watch a tutorial that I did back when OneUI 3.0 Beta was a thing on my S10 (the process is similar): YouTube
* This thread was made in order to centralise the update conversation / OTA links.
This is where I'll put the OTA /update.zip/ links for the S21 / S21P / S21U:
How To:
Rename [name].bin to [name].zip and paste it into the adb folder
Enable USB Debugging from the Developer Options
Reboot your phone
./adb start-server
Trust the computer
./adb reboot recovery
With vol-up and vol-down go to ADB Update and press the Side/Power button
./adb sideload update.zip
!!! Remove ./ if you're using Windows
!!! Obviously Google Pay and (possibly) other banking apps don't work

Well, I don't know, I don't have any experience with that, since I live in an unsupported region.
link to bin file here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ountries-how-to-install.4333281/post-85630907
For s21 ultra exynos
Sideloading through recovery: Using Android Debug Bridge (ADB)
Make sure you have the latest version of ADB installed.
Rename the downloaded .bin package to update.zip.
Now reboot to the recovery mode. Inside the stock recovery environment, you can scroll down using the volume buttons and select an entry using the Power button.
Select apply update from ADB and connect the phone to the PC using a working USB cable.
In the Command Prompt/Terminal window, run the following command:adb devices
Wait to see that the daemon has started and that your device is found. Then run the following command:adb sideload PATH_TO_update.zip
Change the CSC, I have DBT and I don't want to lose it.

You can just put the zip file in the same folder as the ADB then just do sideload update.zip
So, I added a how-to video (of OneUI 3.0 Beta on my S10 from "back-in-the-day") as well as the OTA link for the S21U. Don't forget to change .bin to .zip
Thank you for creating this thread @KokosTech !

I will be making a video guide on how to install via ADB as soon as possible and if I have your permission may I post it here?

How To Guide Install One UI 5.0 (Android 13) beta on unsupported countries

Hello everyone!
One UI 5.0 beta is out, so I have put together this guide on installing it on your Galaxy device. I will show you how to sideload the beta even though the beta programme may not be available in your country or may be full.
❕️ If your device has an SD Card slot, check out the SD Card Method.
NOTE: When you sideload the beta, you will not receive OTA updates automatically. You must install the stable One UI 5.0 when it's released (or downgrade back to One UI 4.1) via Odin.

Back to the PC, type "adb sideload update.zip" and execute it.
The installation process will start and One UI 5.0 will be installed. (If you get an error, you may have downloaded the wrong build, or your device doesn't support the beta programme at all. If you are sure that you have downloaded the right build, try again using different cables, USB ports or PCs.)
After the update process has finished, back to the PC, execute "adb reboot recovery" again.
Go to "Wipe cache partition" and select Yes.
Then select "Reboot system now".

Unfortunately there's no update file for SM-G9980 online yet. It either hasn't been released or no one who got the update is capturing & sharing it.
Hey guys,
I'm trying to sideload via adb on G996B, from AUIE > ZUJ1 on non-supported beta country.
Everything goes fine until 47% on terminal, when starts verifying partitions:
...
Verify partitions...
Verified system image...
Verified vendor image...
Verified product image...
Verified odm image...
Unable to use metadata to correct errors
E2004: prism partition fails to recover
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip (status 1)
Install from ADB completed with status 503
Installation aborted
Then, I can only reboot system back to One UI 3.1.
Someone managed to install after this error?
I believe the common mistake is people updating from the October security patch. I was also getting an error at 47% until i downgrade to the September update before sideloading. Try that and remember to always backup your device.

Then it should work, maybe you'd need to back up, factor reset, and then sideload if you want it that bad. But I'm not sure about it because I really don't see much about the s21+ on here. I was having that 47% error on my s21. Reset with "AUHD" (s21 exynos) and then the sideload worked after.
I'm trying to install the update following all the steps, but it won't work. Using powershell I type in adb devices and it recogizes the command. have put the update.zip in platform tools folder, I go to recovery and type in again adb devices and it says that the device is connected, then I type in adb sideload update.zip, and get this message "adb: failed to stat file update.zip. No such file or directory. Can someone help me get this setup, don't know what I'm doing wrong.
