Hello
I was normally using my S6 active and suddenly it crashed.
and restarted...now it doesnt go forward after the samsung S6 active logo...
I tried to restart it several times but no use.
I dont use any custom roms or anything else..not even tried to upgrade the software...
Kindly help me what should I do...
Had a very similar thing happen to me. S6 active crashed while on the charger and went into a bootloop. Ended up doing a warranty replacement.
Had mine in ultra power save mode on the charger overnight. Next morning when I went to unlock the phone, I fumbled a few of the buttons on the side at the same time and the phone froze up completely. When I forced a reset, the phone was stuck in a bootloop.
Restarting in recovery mode and wiping cache didn't help. Only option was a factory reset.

Im on the the official N7000XXLSZ rom and ive been on it for the past few weeks. Before that I did play about with the super nexus rom but flash it back to normal because I missed the pen. (no root)
Its been working really well up until today when it kept on some how rebooting in to the samsung logo. then it would be ok for a few minutes then the home button wouldnt work to wake the device up. When I hit the power button it would come on after 5 seconds.
So I tried taking the battery out and back in but now its stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note GT n7000 screen. I've tried clearing the cache but no joy?
Any ideas? I've done everything ok with the modding on safe kernals and its been working perfectly for the past 3 weeks. Very strange
Any help would be great, i dont really want to wipe the device. Is JB safe to wipe on??
Cheers

Fixed it in the end by wiping.

its happen again... the battery was on 1% and I shut the phone down. I charged it fully and through out the day it kept on rebooting and getting pretty hot. With very light use it went down to 5% after 5 hours. What can be causing this?? the SD card was also playing up so Im currenty wiping to see if that helps.
Okay so I was using my phone like usual running CM11, and I opened up the camera app I took a shot and then swiped to the left to view it! and then it just hang there! then a weird noise came from the back of the phone I could hear it if I put it around 8 inches away, so I thought it's normal as it has done that before, so I took out the battery like usual and then put it back on and the phone started automatically, but hanged at the bootloader (Galaxy Note logo), again normal, I long pressed the power button to restart so it did, but again stuck on the logo, so I went into recovery and reinstalled the CM11 update but it took longer than usual and just stuck when the blue loading bar is still black! after around 4 minutes the phone shut down by itself and never went on ever since, this was around 7 hours ago, I tried everything from removing and putting back in the battery, tried to go to download mode, tried connecting it to the laptop, tried going to recovery again, tried leaving it for some time, tried keeping it on the charger but the battery never heated to show it's charging! The battery is new btw I got it just 4 months ago.
Please help!

Hi all i've been looking for a way to fix my S4 Active i537, the phone keeps resetting. I will power it on and it will get as far at the AT&T screen before resetting and starting the process all over again and will do it repeatedly. My phone is not unlocked nor i have never tried to do it, i understand that a factory reset might fix my problem however i have not backed up my phone and would hate to lose my photos, music, and messages. I am able to enter the odin and recovery modes and i have tried to clear the caches to no avail. Also when i try to select reboot in the recovery menu i just get an error screen and after a few seconds the phone shuts off. Is there a way i can backup or at least retrieve my photos from odin or the recovery menu perhaps using adb? Would flashing my device to a different firmware solve this? Would it delete all my data?
Thanks in advance
Also i have an AT&T s4 active unlocked running on tmobile, if that helps any
Just some more info, before this started happening i went on a kayaking trip, the phone was in a bucket which had a little water in it but the phone was locked up ( rubber over charging port and batter cover on securely) when i got home i found there was some humidity on the front and back cameras which i then used a blow dryer to dry it out. The phone would restart, turn back on, and boot up at first but then it got worse and now will not go past the at&t screen
You originally posted this in the International S4 forum. You want to ask this in the S4 Active forums at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-active
The mods will move this to the correct location.
When i did a factory reset using the cwm it didn't delete any photos videos music or any files of any kind .. it just unistalled all apps and cleared their data . As far i know the only thing that got me out the bootloop was the factory reset ... on the other hand factory reseting using the stock recovery deleted everything in my internal storage ..
Hope it helps

Hey all,
Alright so, just tried to fit every detail of this problem with this phone in the title there. I got this phone from a friend and i sent it away to get the screen replaced. Got it back, screen works great, everything worked great, great. But after i changed all the information over to mine, then rooted it with Kingo (which was really easy and awesome), I later decided to unroot, and after that was done, i put the otterbox case on it, and it just kept rebooting after that.
I seriously thought it was a power button issue. But was it really?. I then wiped the phone by going into recovery mode, to see if that would clear up the kingo problem, but it still reboots. I removed the power switch off the motherboard after that, and after putting everything back together, I booted the phone up and tried to set everything up, but it then crashed and showed the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo on the screen again, and just would not boot after that.
To me, it sounds like it's just constantly crashing. I've already ruled out the possibility of it being the power button, and I have no idea if it is the Kingo root causing it to crash, what should I try next?. Thanks.
Phone starts with moving halo and "wissen"... "Is it wiping my phone?"
Just now I took my Nexus 6 out of my pocket because it was very warm.
The screen was all black with in the middle a big Halo moving with the disturbing message "wissen" beneath it.
"wissen" is Dutch for wiping, deleting or removing...
Turning the phone off is possible by holding down the power button for 6 seconds, but then it turns on again after 3 seconds showing that same screen again.
After some fiddling I was able to find a method to turn it off.
I can start the phone by holding down the power button and the volume button (down) which will start the recovery program.
There I can turn it off.
Although I have unlocked the phone and ran modded firmwares I switched to standard factory Nexus 2 years ago and haven't had a rooted phone for all that time.
Recently I installed the 7.1 OTA updated.
I'm afraid this is something like a remote wipe.
It also doesn't ask me to give my PIN which is normal for it to do.
What is happening?
Some more info: Yesterday I bought the "AIO All-in-one Toolbox " after using the free one for 3 weeks. Could that be involved?
It may be formatting and encrypting your data partition.
Yes, but why?
It just went into my pocket this morning....
I came one step further.
As I was still able to get it into fastboot loader I exited with "volume up"
Then it went into an almost normal boot. This didn't require the pin it normally needed.
The device went into a full factory reset.
I thought I would be up and running fast, but after entering my new gmail account/password I got the message that I needed to wait another 24 hours because I did a password reset.
I did this password reset of my Google account out of safety. Now I'm being punished for this....
Luckily I have a spare Motorola G3 with its own SIM, so I can at least use my phone.
I can't even use my Nexus as a phone nor can I go to settings. Maybe if use another Google-account.
Did some more research...
The last Exchange sync was while cycling to work.
Didn't use the phone then nor later.
Because my Google-account is locked I can't do anything with my Phone (not even phone), so I decided to flash an alternate rom on it.
I flashed lineagos and also rooted the device again.
Although I did root my Nexus 6 in the beginning this is the first custom ROM I have on it. I still need to install gapps.
Now I can start using my Titaniumbackup again that I bought several years ago.
I still have no idea how it could have gone into wiping. I put the phone in my pocket while it was screenlocked. The device needs a pincode to unlock.....
I am still unable to use Google Apps. I can run the app, but it doesn't let me install apps.
On the stock rom I was just stuck (stuck rom, haha)..... at the installation screen unable to even make a phone call....
Does someone have any idea???

My idea is that you have the N6 unprotected in your pocket. Moving or cycling caused activation of a factory reset.
