Nexus 6 Ringtone delay! - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have had this issue since lollipop. people said it was a bug and would be fixed in marshmallow but I am on 7.0 right now and it still persists.
The problem I am facing is that whenever someone calls me, the phone though vibrates but the ringtone comes into effect like a 1-1.5 second later. Is there any fix to this?

OK, it's not April 1st so I'm assuming you're being serious. There are two "fixes" that I can think of...
1) turn vibration off so you don't notice any delay.
2) ignore it and get on with your life because insignificant things like this are not worth getting upset or annoyed over.

[Question] Nexus 6 randomly reboots, sometimes power button doesnt work

I am checking to see if other people see this on there Nexus 6.
I get random reboots, like once every 2-3days I would say. (Is this Memory Leak?)
Also sometimes I cannot unlock with power button, it will stay black screen. Here sometimes it reboots, sometimes if I wait 10-20secs it works again.
I am wondering whether to return it for another one.
Actually I never faced with my device. And currently my device's Up Time is about 180 hrs. Running last 7 days without any problem.
Go to this link and look near the bottom of the page. Paul, from Google, is reporting that 5.1 should "reduce unexpected reboots." Hope that means they have fixed it and they just used the word "reduce" instead of fix because of the fact that any phone might reboot given the right set of circumstances. Hopefully, persisting reboots will finally be fixed. If you read the entire thread (very long) you will see that many people have reported random reboots and they have experienced them under different circumstances. I'd like to know if they've found what is triggering the repeated reboots for everyone---only time will tell. Some have exchanged their phone for another and had success. Quite a few others have reported receiving 1, 2, or even 3 different replacements and still experiencing reboot problems. Don't know what the answer is. I'm just sitting back observing, waiting to see if it gets resolved before purchasing the N6. If I don't see a satisfactory resolution, then I probably won't get one, even though, before it was released, it sounded like the just the phone I wanted.

I have the same problem on my T-Mobile Nexus 6. 2 reboots in the past 24 hours. It occurs randomly too. I just got the phone like 3 days ago so I'm hoping that 5.1 will fix this issue. Next to the reboots I haven't had any issues with the phone. It pretty badass actually. I switched from the Note 4.
Thanks for the feedback! I really like the phone no way I will get rid of it for this issue. Its just annoying as nexus 5 I didn't. Have any issue like this but I guess KitKat was a more stable than LP.
I will await 5.1 which sound imminent

Trouble with sms/mms on my nexus 6 with 5.1 Verizon

I'm just starting to notice I'm receiving text messages late or not at all. I've gotten a few screen shots from friends of messages that they've sent and I never got. Sometimes the screen shots won't even come trough unless it was sent multiple times.
Anyone else having this problem on 5.1? Or maybe it's just me.
I saw a few threads on different forums about the nexus 6 on T-Mobile having the this issue and to try turning off advanced calling, but I haven't seen anyone having trouble with Verizon yet.
I tried turning off advanced calling last night, I guess I'll see how that goes the next few days.
There are a few having issues not sure what the common denominator is yet.
mods: this should probably be merged with this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2962531

Not getting notifications until screen is turned on.

I have had this problem with pretty much all android phones I have owned. I have been a note owner since the note 2 and as I said this has pretty much always been a problem where after a while you will stop getting notifications until you turn the screen on and then they will all flood in. Usually a reboot fixes it for a while but then after maybe a day or so it goes back to doing this. I spent a year with the iPhone 6 plus and have to say it never did this. I am actually just switching back to the note 5 which is why I thought perhaps I could get to the bottom of this.
I am on sprint, stock not rooted at the moment but in my experience being rooted really didn't seem to stop the problem in the past. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Weird. Do your normal SMS messages behave that way too?

frequent call issues since 9.0 update

Hi Guys,
Ever since me and my wife updated to 9.0, we have been having issues with calling. Caller on the other side cannot hear unless we reboot the phone. Never had this issue during oreo. It's kind of strange that both of us are having the same issue.
This will happen 2-3 days or sometimes a week after reboot out of nowhere. Unless I reboot, other person cannot hear. However whatsapp calling works. it's definitely not a mic problem. Anyone has the same issue or know how to trouble shoot? To reset the phone is one option. I have disabled all apps that Huawei automatically kills due to their stupid battery saving feature. But it hasn't really helped.
Any idea?

Same issue here and its annoying as hell but no fix found yet but ur not alone lol
I've had this also. I hang up and redial, usually works second time round. But the issue is very intermittent.
Could it be a VoWiFi issue?

Tap To Wake Stops Working

Anybody notice that tap to wake intermittently stops working? I'm thinking that it happens when the phone has been sitting untouched for some time but I'm not sure. Maybe it is designed like this to save battery?
When the tap to wake doesn't work does face unlock stop working too?
If so it's a known problem

My problem exactly! I'm new to the 4XL, has this been a long-standing problem? Has Google already acknowledged the problem, and are they going to patch it? I have been restarting my phone 2 or 3 times a day. I was beginning to think it was defective. So glad I saw this post.

I have this problem but not as bad as you. I normally have to restart my phone every 2-3 days due to this problem. I've spoken to someone a Google, they said that I have to see if a factory reset fixes the issue, (but it is very unlikely as many users have reported that it doesn't), if the problem still persists then I will have to send it to them to get a replacement. The person told me they don't know what causes the problem and don't have a solution. I don't see how a replacement is a good option considering that will probably become faulty to if they don't have a fix for it.
