hi there.....I switched from OPx to MI5 last week.
now realised my phone isn't running on official rom.
my rom version shows,
miui 8.5 stable, 8.5.10.0 (MAACNDH)
now....how can I go back to the official rom?
I don't understand critical Android issues....... so any simple solution will be of great help. TIA

you'll have to use the miflashtool and use an official FASTBOOT package to get to a stable ROM.Though apply for bootloader unlocking if you can or if it isn't already unlocked.

You can go here to apply your mi account to get unlock permission, or another way without unlocking your bootloader..you can try flashing official fastboot rom through EDL/ download mode with miflash tool.
Okay
1. I'd suggest that you apply for unlocking and not go for edl mode,it's a bit of a mess.
2. Can you check that you have a recovery installed?(reboot holding vol up+power button)

First two questions for you:
1) Do you have the 8.0.10.0?
Because the "MAACNDH" is that one and not the 8.5.10.0 (wich does not exist).
If this is the case you have a China Stable Rom from september 2016, here the info on the miui forum. And, yes!, it's an official one.
2) Did you unlock?
...just curiosity...
If you want to go from stable to dev or China to global...
Here is the list of the official miui roms: http://en.miui.com/download-299.html
on that page you will find the link to the Flashing Guides, 3 methods are available to do the upgrade (or downgrade).
ATTENTION: Do a backup prior to attempt any of those procedure.

1. Sorry himumama11, i did not take a look at the screenshot.
You have a fake / reseller rom, so proceed accordingly.
The best of the 3 official methods will be the third one (fastboot, using the miflash tool).
...keep in mind that some fake roms are harder (to get rid of) then others... ):
2. Check with the unlock tool to see if you have the green light to proceed, because sometimes the sms is lost due to carrier problem.
2bis. If for some reason they rejected your request, take a look at the miui forum becasue there you will find a couple of threads talking about this and how to re-apply.

Hi Guys,
I will show you how to unlock bootloader in Mi not Pro. I know how many people have the same problem. I had too until today.
Nobody will need to waiting anymore for support or unlock code from Miui Support.
Ok. We can start. U need to remember everything what you will do is only for your responsibility buy I can promise you that tutorials give you fully unlock of your mobile(Mi Note Pro)
We will need:
1. ADB
2. Miflash
3. Older Miui version
2. Flahify
4. TWRP
Ok. Now we can start to repair our Mi Note Pro
We need to install Miflash of course. Then we need to open this website ----> click and do everything excaly like in this site. Of course you need to flash the rom which one you downloaded from link above(please before flash unzip rom). After properly flash our rom u will see info "flashing compete". Then restart your mobile.
Now we have installed already unlocked older version of miui! Then we need to transfer Flashify apk and TWRP to our mobile by USB cable.
After transferring please install Flashify apk and next TWRP.
TWRP flashify procedure:
1.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2.
Then you need to going to "Security" ---> "Root access" and give access for Flahify like in picture no.3 and then picture no.4 click accept(5 times)
3.
4.
Now its looks like that:
5.
Next we need to find TWRP (choice file):
6.
7.
And please install TWRP (picture no.8)
8.
Now please reboot your mobile:
Flashify installed already
Now u can install every single rom(custom,developer or stable)a part new versions of (latest) Miui.
Good luck guys!!! I hope my advice give new life in your Mi Note Pro[IMG]

I know that you may not notice, but I'm a mod here. Hi! My post was based on reports made by users, so it's not just my imagination. I'm glad to hear that everything works fine if users know what to do. Anyway, enjoy your ROM!
Hi, i have just bought a Z2 Pro and i have a few questions on what's the best setup i can do with it and put onto it. I think i have the international ROM on the device as it came with Google Play store and it has plenty of languages to choose from.
In Settings/About it states it has Android 6.0.1 and ZUI Version 2.3.044 ST on it.
I cannot for the life of me find how to check if there is an update for the ZUI on the phone so i am wondering how i can go about updating the firmware without voiding any warranty. I have limited experience in rooting phones and i would like to see if i can live with the latest ZUI version before delving into custom ROM'S to be honest.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to upgrade the official international firmware for the ZUK Z2 Pro?
Regards
Stuart
it seems you've an unofficial vendor ROM
so you need to unlock bootloader and then flash with QFIL tool proper stock ROM or custom ROM (GizRom Nougat 7.x).
you will find all infos here: zukfans.eu/community/forums/zuk-z2-pro.4/
Thank you for clearing it up for me. I will look into bootloaders and flashing a ROM version onto it to get a more up to date version of android.

I managed to update to the latest ZUI but if i am honest it's not to my liking as half of the apps and writing is in Chinese so it's got to go.
I am now looking at how to put a custom Nougat ROM on that doesn't have many problems on the Z2 PRO. I believe i will have to figure out how to root the phone and possibly unlock the bootloader before flashing.
Are there any guides in how to flash a custom ROM on this site and what would be considered the best ROM to use?

I followed this guide which worked fine for unlocking the bootloader and rooting : https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z2-pro/how-to/howto-install-mokee-7-1-1-unofficial-t3582686
Except instead of flashing Mokee, I recommend flashing this version of AICP : https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z2-pro/development/rom-aicp-12-1-n-zuk-z2-pro-t3596836 . It's not officially supported by AICP but it's the only one I found where everything works perfectly, including customizing the U-touch gestures, and it comes with Magisk to manage root which is nice I think. Just don't forget to deactivate the 3 Chinese apps that are bundled with the ROM.

Will this work with the T-Mobile version as well or only international?
Can anyone verify that this works on any model? I haven't seen anyone talking about it working, specifically, for the One Plus 7 Pro on the original thread.
I'm hoping for this bootloader unlocking method to come to the 7 pro, seems to work for the 6t without issue for T-Mobile users that are not Sim unlocked.

I added the support yesterday, obviously no more people have the oneplus 7/7 pro so we need a bit of time to see if it works or not.

The root option is connected to the twrp, so without a twrp you can't root with the tool. Let me know if you will be able to unlock the bootloader without problems. I'm waiting a stock rom to start working on the twrp
This looks like a great tool. I'm new to OnePlus so this should make it streamlined for me. Really looking forward to getting hooked on flashing again after several years with Samsung. I got the international OP7P this morning right when orders went live. I have a feeling that this community for the 7 pro is going to be massive.
I dont know the steps but if you guide me in the right direction I will give it a try.

I'm very curious about this as well.
This popped up yesterday and contradicts our current knowledge about not being able to use TWRP for A12/Miui13. Hope that someone will shed some light on this.
As this is a stock recovery ROM, you need stock recovery to flash it.

ok, but the files you guys upload are 2 and not just one zip.. how can you flash this in een twrp then
That's a misunderstanding. The Fastboot Files are NOT for TWRP meant. The recovery files can be flashed through TWRP. The newest one for 22.1.5 is only one file. But still only Fastboot. You need to extract the contect of the "zip" - it will automatically extract also from z01. They are one archive split on 2 files. As I already mentioned the newest beta is now just one big file.

Whenever I receive a call, Mi AI automatically turn on silent mode. Can some please suggest how to resolve this issue?
That changelog is ridicolous, you jump to a new version of the OS and of the custom and you get only a "improved system performance"?

We should complain. I sent them an email. All of us should do that. Freaking ridiculous.
You can do anything at all, just buy a normal global phone next time and not a phone with a rom.
I feel the same with a laggy mi 11 ultra and decide to sell it soon and never buy this again

In fairness, the global version is overpriced in most countries especially if you want 12/512 etc
You can flash the global ROM tho
That should eradicate most of the issues with your Google apps etc
