It depends how much you use it... The percentages Android shows are really inaccurate. Over 1 day with 20% left seems fine. How is the screen on time? If you want to know if chrome is really draining your battery, install BBS and look at the wakelocks.

Battery life drops from around 40% to 15% super quickly for no reason

I got a full stock N7 16GB 4.2 OTA which I'm not planning to root or flash (that's what my One X is for =P).
I noticed that quite often if I leave my N7 for a night with about 40% battery life, in the morning it will fully shut down with about 14% battery life remaining. Checking battery usage I see a sharp, almost vertical drop. Something's destroying battery when it gets about half way.
Anybody else had this issue?
Screenshot attached.
Try and fully discharge and charge it a couple of times. The battery may be poorly calibrated. U can use a battery drainer if you are impatient. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=battery+drainer&c=apps

I don't know which update it was put in but it seems Google have added something that shuts down the N7 automatically at 20% to save the battery. I don't know if this is for every unit or not but it's been doing it for me and a few friends who have them too. I guess this is to save the battery as it can affect the recharging efficiency and the battery will die faster than normal if you allow it to drain further.
From your picture it looks like it's doing as it should, shutting down at about 20%, and then guestimating the battery stats, which fools the reading. However dropping from 40% to 20% overnight sounds like you have one or more rogue apps installed causing some serious drain, unless it's something you know/want to be running of course.

Nook HD+ CyMod Battery drain

Hey,
I'm on 10.1 and my device drains my battery pretty hard.
It layed unused 1 day on my desk and it got 69%.
In my opinion this is not possible.. Is there a way to tweak it or even see what drains the battery?
I only have GO Launcher installed, but from my point of view it shouldn't eat so much battery.

I use betterbatterystats to see what is chewing away at my battery on android devices.
It's not cm issue. It's your battery that is damaged or any app not letting your device deep sleep.
I have a Nook that right now is 10 days idle being 2 hours screen on and it has 43% left.
Agreed, definitely think of any recently installed apps.
I just recently had a MASSIVE battery drain when sitting idle overnight. (it had 2% battery left after 8 hrs in standby
and was fully charged at the time.)
It was the HBO GO app. Even when you exit the app, it sucks the life out of the battery in standby
and wifi was off.
So I stopped HBO GO manually, and now my nook hd+ is back to sipping 1% over 2 days, just like
it did before installing this app.

[Q] EMERGENCY!!! BAttery draining like a rocket

CAn anyone suggest how to fix battery drain im on fxp Cm 12 02/09 and i turned everthing off and battery on low brightness. Also this happend before on other roms.NEEd a fix please reply fast:crying::crying:
What other ROM's did this happen on? Were they also Lollipop ROM's? I personally experienced this once on CM12, my phone went from 70-ish % to 1% overnight by doing absolutely nothing! My advice is to come back to Lollipop when it is more stable, it's way too buggy right now to be used as a daily driver IMO.
ok
Ok ill try crystalpa 8.50 and will let you know about the battery. Well i dont in the first place why my battery is draining it wsnt draining last week i use to leave my phone overnight. It used to be 100% to 95%.NOw its 100% to 79% which is bull****:crying::crying:

Have you switched back to KitKat yet? I noticed the battery going down a lot quicker on Lollipop myself.

My phone model is Walton Primo GM..Hope I will get my solution! Thanks All!
Same here with the battery. I returned to stock 4.3 to see will the problem remains.
i have been using one plus x charger since few days.. battery charges from 14% to 70% in around 30 minutes (with 3g onn!!)

[Q] Very poor battery

I just sideloaded 5.1 and I use Battery widget pro.
After 5.1 when I unplug my device this widget tells me I have 8 hours of battery left.
Even on 5.0 my battery seemed pretty poor but at least it would be at 12 to 14. I just don't get how it can be that bad.
Sometimes after turning it off then back on the battery level will adjust to something higher.
Is this possibly an app issue draining my battery? Anyone have any tips suggestions?
Best,
Ryan

Let it run for a day and see how much battery life you actually get. Maybe let it drain all the way out once and recharge it to 100%. I know when I ran custom ROMs on my Nexus devices, it would take a couple of days before the battery stats adjusted and displayed correct info. I once had a battery meter say 1% for about an hour before my phone died after switching to a new ROM.
How did it go? I noticed massive battery draining wakelocks on 5.1, related to phone and location. Without Xposed I don't know how to control them.
Cheers!

Are you using the version that came with your phone, or are you using something custom (i.e. CyanogenMod or Resurrection Remix)? Did you see what "supposedly" is the highest percent drainer under Settings->Battery?

Based on that, the only thing that I can think of is to turn down your display brightness (even try setting to auto if you haven't already) and if your cell service is often weak/non existent, then put it in airplane mode temporarily to turn off your cell radio (which will also kill calling and texting though). It also depends on just how fast your battery is draining. How much time are you getting with it on? How quickly is it draining (percentage wise per hour for example)?

It sounds like some of that is just the software then as well. Before I unlocked the bootloader and installed CyanogenMod on mine, I used to see it drain quite a bit faster (especially during standby when the screen was off). A big part of that was being able to change the CPU clock speeds (which I lowered on mine) and adjusting it to where many apps couldn't wake up the phone anymore. When doing heavy gaming though, it's pretty much always guaranteed to drain quickly.

I'm not saying the version you are using, but the actual stock software in general. It's definitely not optimized as well for battery life as it can be in a custom ROM and the bloatware doesn't help either. Using the phone for gaming will also take a hefty toll, regardless of what you are running.

Do you mean 10% per hour of screen on time or screen off time? If you lose only 10% for an hour of screen on, you probably get 8-10 hours of screen on time per charge. I only get less than 5.

p.s. idle 22% standby 22%...no gps, no bluetooth, no notification, just a few applications...I tried, after charging to 100%, leaving the phone for some days without doing anything (no wifi, no connection, no signal) and I was surprised to read such draining as in the screenshot.
Anyone can reply and help me? What's the difference between idle and standby? The phone has a stock firmware, never rooted
