Moto G 2014 Official OTA Failed - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using a unmodified Moto G 2014 (GB version). I pushed the official update button found under the Marshmallow settings menu, my device found an update proceeded to download it and reboot on a fully charged battery.
Upon the reboot part my device displayed the white screen with green Motorola logo with powered by android under it which is how its remained for the last few hours.
I just tried to reboot it and it usually goes back to the white screen, goes in a boot loop and then shows a little android guy on occasion on his back with a no command message.
I have recently backed up my files, but more recently taken some more family photos a couple of days back which i really don't want to lose by doing a full wipe.
I only did the update because the damn phone said it was a security update..dammit!
Any ideas how to get this back up and running other than factory reset guys?

[Q] Received Lollipop OTA, now black screen after Motorola Logo

Hey guys, I just received OTA for Lollipop on my MotoG 2ndgen XT1063 and updated to it. Now the phone is stuck at a black screen after the motorola logo. Restarting the phone didn't help and it goes to a black screen after motorola logo/boot animation.
Any ideas? ...
p.s My phone was on 4.4.4
Update: If anyone is having a similar issue then I fixed mine by erasing cache/userdata via fast boot.
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
and do you get the lollipop update or your phone stay on 4.4.4? and it was just black screen or it says "no command"? i present a similar trouble i guess,

I got the Lollipop OTA (I was on 4.4.4), updated to it and after it finished updating and booted for the first time the screen went total black. Restarted it a couple of times but after the boot animation when the it should show the home screen, the screen goes total black.
Fixed it by doing what I posted in post#2.

Bricked; cannot get into fastboot

So today I set about unlocking the bootloader and rooting my Moto X 2014 Pure Edition XT1095.
Unlocking the bootloader went just fine. Then I went to root it. I booted the pure2014sb.img but it didn't work. The phone would just hang on the Motorola logo. Then I read somebody later said that doesn't work on lollipop, so I booted the CF-Auto-Root-victara-victaratmo-xt1095.img instead. That showed me the rooting status page thing before it rebooted, and then rebooted again, but when it fired up after that it was still hanging on the Motorola logo.
Then I attempted this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56928477#post56928477
Now the phone will not even hang on the logo, it gets to the animated moto logo part and then turns off half way through. I cannot get back into fastboot state either. It just doesn't respond to power + vol down at all.
EDIT: Actually scratch the not being able to get into fastboot state thing. I just had to hold the buttons down for way longer than normal. I just kept holding them until it showed something. It ended up being like 15 seconds instead of 3-4 like usual.
Help!

Same happened to me early this morning when I was trying to install 5.0.2
You have to flash any firmware you want just avoid to flash the modem and there ate several post here in the general section
Just remember. Don't flash the modem unless is the same firmware you have or else you will lose signal.
Regards
Thanks for the input. I used the instructions in this thread to get my phone back to working condition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/general/guide-update-xt1095-pure-edition-to-t2937074
I was unable to get it to pick up the 4.4.4 to 5.0 update zip in recovery mode, so I just used the regular OTA update to do it. After that I booted the CF-Auto-Root-victara-victaratmo-xt1095.img and it worked!

Moto X 2013 (xt1058) wont boot

I've had CM12/12.1 installed on my motoX 2013 for a few months now and have had no problems. Last night when i tried to type in my password my phone would just freeze. I restarted it and eventually i got in and went to disable the password. On the way there it crashed again and now when ever i try to start my phone it just gets stuck at the warning bootloader unlocked screen. I can get into fastboot and when i go to my recovery it just gets stuck on the teamwin screen. This happened without me changing anything, no update or anything

[FIXED] Moto XT1058 Stock 5.1 bootloops (well... sort of)

Hi, I was running cm13 on my XT1058 and today I decided to revert back to stock.
the last firmware I flashed was stock 5.1 "xt1058_ghost_retbr_5.1_lpa23.12-15_cid12_cfc", but since I had updated the phone (did some OTAS before flashing cm13), I didn't know which version my bootloader was (I know you can see it on bootloader screen, but I didnt remember that at the time). So I googled the latest firmware for my 1058 and found the "XT1058_GHOST_RETBR_5.1_LPA23.12-21.7_cid12_CFC" and decided to flash it
After flashing the phone booted and optmized my apps as usual. When it finished wallpaper, status bar and nav bar appeared for a couple of seconds and then came a black screen and after another couple of seconds it showed the "preparing the device" pop up and then it goes back to the bootanimation and starts optimizing my apps again.
so far I tried to reflash the firmware, select the factory option on bootloader screen and boot using the BP Tools option but none of it helps.
what should I do?
thanks
EDIT: bootloader version is 30.BE right now

FIXED, I flashed the rom again and factory reset a second time and this time it booted normally, I don't know what exactly make it go this second time, but its FIXED.

Black screen after factory reset

Hi all. I have Honor 3c international version with official Kit-Kat rom. I factory reset it using TWRP v 2.8.6.0 and after rebooting, phone showed my huawei logo and then after some time the screen went black. Almost 10 minutes later a white box appeared showing that it is upgrading and the files are being optimized but the phone got stuck on "Finishing Boot". Then the screen went black again. Phone didn't vibrate or reboot during all this. Its been happening since yesterday and i can't get past this black screen. Help please.
Flash stock rom via spft
