Pardon my frustration but I have spent the last hour or so looking on XDA and other places to find anyone with a successful downgrade on the 910T3 Tmobile to KitKat? Is this possible? Am I missing something? In advance i would like to say thank you for those that take the time to reply.
Did we never see KitKat on the n910T3?

N910T3 actually came with 5.1.1 lollipop out of the box there is no kitkat available or even 5.0 lollipop.
And even more bad news is N910T3 once upgrade to marshmallow there is no way to downgrade to lollipop because of locked bootloader.
N910T variant is only possible to downgrade from marshmallow to lillipop and kitkat.
And why do you wanna do that anyway ?
Kitkat is outdated almost 3 years old now and many apps and games required 5.0 or higher to run.
Stick with marshmallow its not that bad .
or if you really wanna go back to kitkat you can swap your t3 to T variant thats all i can say.

I have the AT&T S5 running Lollipop.
I don't recall - but I *think* I got this device before Lollipop was released. I got the device in May'14. My research shows that Lollipop came out Nov'14.
So - if I got the device with the prior release - but it's running Lollipop now - is there a way to root it?
Thanks.
No I have the same problem. I have been waiting for months now

If you took the lollipop OTA then no, there is still no active root available.
Any news on root yet?

If you are on the official 5.0+ ota, through any means other than the prerooted flashfire method, there is no known way to downgrade, root, etc. If you flashed the ota for lollipop, bought your phone and it had lollipop, or took the ota, and it is an att s5 (G900A) then it is not, at the time of me posting this, possible to downgrade to KitKat or root or anything of the sort.

Does anyone have the firmware for the lollipop on s5 active?
Does anyone know if models of S5 being sold as new now are being released with lollipop or kitkat preinstalled?
Is there a way to know by serial number on the box?
The reason I am asking is I just purchased one online a few days ago on the daily steals website has it was advertised As new and unlocked. I did not realize being that I am from Canada that this was a lockdown AT&T model. It is scheduled to arrive in the next day or so and I would prefer not to open the box and affect my ability to return it without restocking fee if it already comes with lollipop on it. Hi I'm less concerned about achieving root and more concerned about having the ability to native flea tether on my plan back here in Canada.
Also if it did come with lollipop firmware preinstalled, is there a way to enable native tethering on the phone if root is not achievable?

I'm not sure either I would just see if it is a 5.0 and below and just achieve root its so simple then you flash native tethering it just sounds like that would be the easiest way
5.0 and below or just kit Kat?

Not getting my hopes up, but hopefully with 6.0 there will be an exploit.

Of course you can. Download the firmware http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/28224/G900AUCU1ANCE_G900AATT1ANCE_ATT/
Then download latest version of odin and then in odin you also must check Update bootloader button because there are different verions of bootloaders. And then it s done.
Wipe the ****ing cache before asking questions!

No you can't.
But you don't have to just take my word for it. Try this in Google to limit results from this forum only and you'll see it's been answered again and again:
Code:
site:forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/ downgrade lollipop impossible
Stay tuned; last time AT&T released 4.4.4 around this time and Lollipop followed two months after.
Maybe there's hope with an upcoming Marshmallow.

It's trivial even on the F model, M requires a modified boot image so sorry to be a better of bad news, but there's likely less hope.

So what ya saying is get rid of the S5 as there is no hope of gaining root if ya don't already have it?
Hi, so finally the N9208 has received the marshmallow 6.0 update. However, should I upgrade from 5.1.1 to 6.0 or stay on 5.1.1? suggestions welcome
Can't say for others, but battery life has been sh*t for me in MM. Lost around 20% overnight. The phone has not been rooted whatsoever so probably not the efuse thingy being broken.

I like to learn. Thanks.

Follow the steps. Download the new version. Use Odin. Simple.
I am in the same boat as you, eek88dj. (G900A, using on Cricket Wireless). And I used the same exact instructions/method as directed by slackhouse, when the PH3 update was available on XDA website. It's been going good so far..

did u successfully update your g900a to marshmallow if yes then please tell me how because i'm using same lollipop baseband OF3.
Hello all, I picked up an N900A for a great price, didn't know about the locked bootloader, I assumed it would be the same as the T-Mobile one I used to have. No dice. I'd just like to know what the latest version is that can be rooted.
I don't need custom ROMs or any of that jazz...I always end up modding the crap out of them and changing everything so it's pointless for me to flash somebody else's preferences and tweaks I probably won't agree with anyway. I just need root, SuperSU, busybox, and xposed support.
Right now I'm on NC2 4.4.2 which is decent but I need Lollipop to run some apps I use. A few of them don't support Kitkat anymore.
Any advice would be appreciated

I'd like to know how to root as well. My n900a is on 5.0 and I've seen nothing but bad news on these forums...
It really isn't that difficult http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59666958&postcount=2
You can root 5.0, but it has to be either a pre-rooted 5.0 Rom or you have to downgrade to Kitkat, then root and install 5.0. But you can't root if your already on 5.0.
