I just don't get notification sounds for SMS, mail and so on through the BT headset (Bose QC30). I get the media sound, but not notification. I have tried to look for a setting that can control this, but I haven't found it. It's rather useless to have my mail program checking for mail when I don't hear if anything comes in! Has anybody had this problem and solved it?
Does nobody else have this problem?

when the USB headset is connected, I can't hear the notifications for pure radio related alarms like incoming emails/SMS, etc. anymore on the phone's speaker. only via the headset. as nobody wears the headset all the time, this is pretty nonsense. any nokia device is able to differ between sounds of the device (like music playback) and sound of the radio (email ringing, sms), that I want to hear, even if the headset is connected. with bluetooth headset, this works perfectly well. any tweaks there?
Try resetting (restarting).

Does this mean, it works differently on your Kaiser? Thought this is a general behaviour with all Kaiser devices that you can't change with just resetting?
When I have a incoming call and I recieve an SMS the SMS sound notification is played. All other phones (not Windows Mobile) just makes a little bip.
This is not accaually a Diamond problem. It's a Windows Mobile problem.
Does anyone know how to disable this annoying problem? It's nice to get an notification when recieving an SMS but it's not nice to get a loud notification when speaking in the phone.
Okay. No one have a solution.
Okay. No one have a solution to this problem. Microsoft have no solution.
Can all other live with this irritating problem?
have the same problem here, the sound is so loud and scare me
Does Anyone Have A Solution? When I Get A New Text Message The Bluetooth Doesnt Notify Me
i didnt know it was meant to send out bluetooth alerts when you receive a text?
with other phones i would get a beep of some sort in my ear alerting me that i had a message
For a normal handphone (nokia for example), when the phone is connected to a bluetooth earphone, all sound will be redirected to the earphone. This include sound produces by the menu.
For Windows Mobile, it isn't so. Only the phone calls get redirected. It has something to do with how Microsoft implements the sound mechanism. If I'm not mistaken, the phone calls sound and the normal sound playback mechanism are seperated.
try enabling bluetooth audio gateway
how do i do that?
I've just got a Garmin GPS that acts as a bluetooth handsfree. That works fine - but it also says that it should be able to receive a SMS over bluetooth, and even speak it out.
I don't get any bluetooth text notifications - I assume this is the same thing. I'm still on 2003SE - would an upgrade affect this?
Anyone have problem to hear notification sound(for text, voicemail...) over the Bluetooth headset?
I can hear phone rings, media sound just no notification sound.
If you don't, please let me know what kind of Bluetooth you are using.
Thanks
Problem is that notifications (only push sms) will not play through my phone speaker if my Bluetooth headset is connected (I use do not disturb and there is a conflict involving bluetooth). They only play through the headset. Android has no fix for this right now, I have tried EVERYTHING. I just downloaded tasker but don't have the time or patience right now to figure out how to learn tasker. I want all sms to play either through phone only or through headset and phone speaker and be able to specify the ringtone or notification tone. I would also like to make one particular sms to come through as a different ringtone or notification sound. Frustrated. Thanks
