BRICK? - Blu Vivo XL

Rooted with Kingroot. Then bricked. Then got TWRP to work and was running stock 5.1 again. Tried to flash CM13.02 with Gapps...Failed...tried to flash stock again....failed....soooo, now what?
Luckily I have my trusty R1 HD as backup.

I keep my R1HD as a backup phone. $60 and it runs better than the VivoXL, which I returned, because it sucked. I'm on a Nexus 6P now.

Hi All,
I am a stock HTC one user on O2 and today I received a new update. I tried to install it and it finished. When it rebooted it just got stuck on a boot loop. Can anyone help me recover my phone? My OS is 2.24.206.7
Thanks Guys

Can someone help me recover it? Is there no RUU?
I've just downloaded the update from o2 but haven't installed as yet. I'm glad I noticed this thread before I installed it. Did you do anything different when trying to install it? I know you said you are stock but have you ever rooted or put custom recovery on? Or is your phone completely untouched?

Hi sorry mate the only thing I could suggest would be to ring o2 and ask them. I'd assume that you would have to send it in for repair/replacement. An update shouldn't do that as far as I know.
EDIT: Decided to take the plunge and installed without issue. Now on 4.3 sense 5.5 software 3.62.206.1

They stopped the rollout because it was bricking encrypted phones. The OTA was captured though. You can install it yourself from here if you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/dro...ota-official-marshmallow-build-mcg24-t3512813

You could try, but you will brick the device. The locked bootloader will not load anything lower than 5.3.2.1, and we have no way of unlocking the bootloader. No root and a locked bootloader means no custom ROM or kernel.
That said, there is a way to install the Google Play Store even without root, on any firmware. Check out the supertool thread. Once you have the Play Store installed, you can use that to install all kinds of whatever apps you want.

Alternatively, one can sideload (free) apps obtained from reputable sources such as APKMirror. However, installing Play Store/Services offers additional functionality and convenience.

Kindle Fire HD 7" D025A Version - Return to Stock

Hey guys. I have a Kindle Fire HD 7 D025A (1st gen I think? 2012 release) that was rooted a long time ago and had the Cyanogen os put on it. Its become very unstable (reboots a lot, launchers crash, etc) and I would like to restore it back to the way it came from Amazon. The unfortunate part is, I am a total newb at this, and I wasnt the one who rooted it originally so I have no idea how it was done. Can anyone give me a step by step guide on the correct way to restore back to the original? Been trolling websites all morning, but with as many different releases of kindle as there are out in the world, I want to make sure its done right.
Thanks in advance.

twrp-2.6.3.1-recovery is just twrp, no stock rom files
you need a stockrom.zip

Bleh, that was annoying. So finally got the stock zip to work. Had to wipe twice in order for it to boot into something not TWRP. Thank you very much btw and sorry if I seemed a little short. Im a computer guy by trade for over 20 years, but this programming and hacking stuff has never been my cup of tea. Finally into the basic default setup pattern now.
Ok, so now that Ive been shown and taught how to return this Kindle to stock, can you show me a list of all the custom OS's I can put on it? I know Lineage doesnt support it, and I know Cyanogenmode has a version 14, but I want something that will continue getting updates.
