Hello All,
I am having an issue with restoring to OOS 4.0.1
I am currently running Lineage OS 14.1 OnePlus 3T Dedicated Build and I want to restore to my backup of OOS 4.0.1 (Android 7.0.0). After I wipe and restore to my OOS backup, it gets to the OOS boot screen (the white dot with red dots circling it) but it will never get past that screen and I am not sure what to do to get it to fully boot. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you
I guess you have to flash the 4.0.1 firmware to be able to boot. I had a similar issue while restoring a 4.0.2 based ROM.

I suppose that would make sense huh? Thank you for the obvious answer. Can't believe I didn't think of that. I guess I just assumed that lineage wouldn't update my firmware but that was an incorrect assumption!

Hi everyone,
I literally just got the Chinese version of the oneplus 3T (A3010) and I want to move from Hydrogen OS 2.5.1 to Oxygen OS 3.5 official with OTA. Does anyone have the file or instructions how to do this? I found instructions for the oneplus 3 but not sure with this model. I'm sure any help would help out a lot of people who are gonna ask this question.
Also will this unlock the bootloader? Just curious about it affecting android pay.
Thank you!

Wanna do me a favor and grab a nandroid backup of your rom before you kill it? I actually want h2os
Aside from that, you should theoretically be able to: ("Official" guide https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...oid-efs-backup-and-more.475142/#post-15431571)
Unlock the bootloader
Flash TWRP
Flash dm-verity
Flash OOS 3.5.3 from the ROM page, I have a mirror too (http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/zip-flashable-firmware-modem-t3509015) mirror on pg 2.
and you'll be set, you can flash the original recovery if it's available on the OnePlus page as well and relock to go back to full stock just English version
PS: Since there is no stock recovery image available yet, maybe will have to run TWRP temporarily, rip the recovery off and then proceed? I dunno
Thanks for your quick reply! I was hoping more along the lines of the adb Sideload method and keep the bootloader locked for now though. If I go the root method sure I can share the nandroid backup.
PS the rom looks really similar to the oxygen rom, so far it looks like only the launcher is different. I guess this is part of the plan to merge the two.
Well you can try flashing the image straight. It's a stock image anyways so it could work.

Basically what I meant was to do the opposite of what is suggested here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/rom-h2os-2-5-oneplus-3t-released-t3511443 but with the 3.5.3 ROM
Help needed with android pay and OOS clean install
I'm in a similar situation with a chinese bought OnePlus 3G from Lazada.sg that came with Hydrogen OS. I've managed to install TWRP but because I'm completely new, got stuck and instead managed to install OOS 3.5 (now 4.## from the official website) using adb sideload.
I do have 2 questions:
1) My internet connection drops occasionally even though my WiFi is still connected, is that an issue because I might not have installed it correctly? Would a clean flash solve it?
2) I understand android pay is disabled when you unlock bootloader but even after that, will it be possible to wipe the phone clean and do a fresh install of the lastest OOS and the phone will pretty much be like the international version, with android pay re-enabled?
I believe you can use Sultanxda's patch as another way around, but it sounds complicated as hell for a new person, so I'll continue digging around while waiting for a reply.
Thank you, and any advice will be greatly appreciated.
I've got this new OnePlus 3t A3003. I'm happy with the performance battery and everything but there's this one issue that troubles me. I got the device unlocked bootloader and flashed aospa. Everything was nice and smooth then I flashed SuperSU later. The phone got reset and wiped except for the internal storage. I didn't know what to do and I just left it. Then later I came across some audio mods and tried flashing it again the same thing happened. So I tested and came to the conclusion that flashing anything wipes device. Why does this happen?
What versions TWRP and SuperSU? Just a guess, but maybe an older version with some compatibility issue? Try another version TWRP?
Otherwise, what version firmware? I don't know if AOSPA updates firmware (as some ROMs do). Maybe try to update OOS to current version 4.1.6 and start with fresh firmware, and install current version TWRP again, etc.
My phone is encrypted so what happens is I flashed something then the phone boots and asks for the password to unlock first then after entering it resets. I didn't know why I even switched roms rn using resurrection remix 7.1.2 latest version and still same problem. So im pretty sure the problem isn't with the rom. Twrp is latest version afaik and with rr rom magisk comes so I'm on v12 of magisk. I'll try using another version of twrp and oos.

Thanks mate, there was something wrong with the twrp version I had. I flashed the latest version of twrp 3.1.1 I think and that seemed to solve the issue.
Hello forum, a little question......
This is my 2nd time of owning the 3t, now the first time owning a one plus 3t, I used a CM13/marshmallow roms., They were extremely stable, but now my question is.....
Using twrp for the Oreo, I have gone through many many custom roms, Oreo and nougat, oos and lineage etc, but what's the process going back to marshmallow?
Is it just a case of flashing the rom zip like I been doing for last month or so..... or some other way? i.e downgrading something?
I'm currently on Audax 4.0
Just take a Titanium Backup of all your apps first,
Then boot into TWRP, follow the procedure for a clean flash.
Just on a curious note, why would you want to go back to MM?
And also make sure you flash the matching firmware package for the ROM you're planning to run, unless your going for OxygenOS as this does that for you.
Firmware packages can be found in a separate thread in this forum.

Marshmallow is very stable and battery friendly.
Hey,
I recently rebranded my VTR-L29C185 to VTR-L29C432. After that, I installed the latest Project Treble Resurrection Remix ROM from phh. The device is rooted, bootloader and frp unlocked, and has TWRP 3.2.1 FromFuture (the one for Treble roms) installed.
I made a full backup with TWRP 3.2.1-0 for stock EMUI 8.0 before the rebrand process.
My question is how do I go back to stock but keep the rebranding ? Do I just need to restore the backup without its OEMInfo via TWRP ? Search a VTR-L29C432 ROM and flash it through fastboot ?
The reason I want to go back to stock is mainly because of the many camera functions you cannot use on these roms even after installing the Huawei Camera (or the Google Camera for Kirin, which I recommend for users of these roms) and because of a few freezes and graphical glitches. Apart from that it's a very smooth and stable experience and I didn't face any big issue (gapps and root are working).
I would really appreciate your help. Thank you !
Anyone ?
should be fine to restore just the system image, because treble roms are just system partitions.

I did it, I'm on stock again now, but strangely it shows me there's an update with the same version as installed. If I try to run the update it reboots to try to install the update (logically) but with the fact I have TWRP installed it doesn't do so.
I also noticed the designs I download (which worked before on stock) do not apply. What does this mean ?
Thanks

Using this since past 2 days. I am completely stock with locked bootloader, unrooted and stock recovery.
No issues till now. Feels good to be back to stock oxygen OS for a change from all these custom roms.

You installed it on a locked bootloader. So you factory reset the phone before updating. Or did you just flash and lose no data

I installed it on a unlocked bootloader. I was previously on Skydragon. Flashed stock OS in twrp. Lost all data in internal storage after reset.
Sounds good have been avoiding on my work phone for fear that it'll become unstable or slow. Seems thats not the issue

I'm running rooted Skydragon OS with twrp and unlocked bootloader. Can I directly flash oos via twrp? Will there be any issues?
Does the stock recovery replace twrp after flashing oos?

Yes you can flash it over twrp on skydragon and yes it will replace twrp with stock recovery. But keep in mind you will also have to format your internal storage completely because it will give a decryption failed error.
So after you flash stock and when the phone boots up it will ask you to format the internal storage so backup everything if you want to go this way.

Do you know if it will be the same if you are not encrypted, and want to stay not encrypted? Is there a way to do that without formatting (maybe using the patched firmware or theone3os)?

mine is decrypted and installed fine and is still decrypted, sorry wrong thread
Just installed it, the initial look seems good. The phone spent some time optimizing the apps but after that it seems smoother and much cooler looking.
Ok so if i still on android n 7.1.1 and rooted and magisk installed ohh and twrp is there too, is it going to be safe to install android pie oos 9.0.2 and to keep the root and magisk and the twrp without loosing my data?
If its safe pleas do till.

It is not. You will have to factory reset/format data for getting OOS Pie. That is going to delete your data, Magisk and in the process, you may have to reflash TWRP also.
I'm on open beta 39 OnePlus 3 with twrp bluspark.
So can I download the update or the full ROM? I'm a little confused as to where it is on the forums.
Then do I just flash it in twrp (wipe first I know but should I wipe data as well?) While flashing does it tell you to wipe, format or do I do that all myself?
What are the s steps?
I'm happy to wipe everything as I want to clean up my device anyway.
Thank you so much for the help.

Performance is good and smooth. Good battery life as well. I haven't rooted it yet, wanna keep it stock for the time being but I am sure it can be rooted. Yes Gcam works. I am using one of the stable Arnova based Gcam.

Battery life is not as good as Oreo OOS. I have disabled OnePlus's advanced battery optimizations, you should know.
Performance on stock kernel is mostly fine with stutters in phone app mainly. But i think that's phone app's fault. Performance with the custom kernel I am using right now is great and the ROM feels smooth.
Yes, I am running it rooted with a custom kernel.
I haven't used Google camera as I hardly use my phone's camera. Maybe once a week.

Those are pretty basic questions actually. I assume you haven't rooted your phone in recent time?
I just flashed the magisk zip before first boot into system to keep twrp and one restart settled things and magisk is now working fine.
I am using mcd kernel build r27 but it has broken Hotspot functionality, which I don't care much about.
Why would the bootloader get locked after flashing OOS? You need to manually go into fastboot mode and manually enter some commands to lock/unlock bootloader. It can't be done via recovery afaik.
