Google Assistant - Galaxy S6 Themes and Apps

I was wondering if anyone has got the Google assistant for Samsung S6 or if it will get it. Please advise.

Yes we will get it. Anyone running Android Marshmallow or later will get it. Should be any day now. Also if your rooted you can get it now.

Google assistant is here! Just change to English US language and time to New york and delete data in Google app, play services and play store..

I simply changed the language to English US and installed a beta build of Google Play Services and Google Assistant is fully functional on my S6 running stock MM.

using Magisk module by stangri to enable assistant no language change or time changes needed ?
Previously used Xposed module to enable it but no Xposed available atm for Nougat ?

Thanks, I eventually sorted it out myself. But I really appreciate that you tried. ☺

Missing apps?

So my uncle bought a Xiaomi Mi 3 in Indonesia a few years ago, and he used it for about two years. Recently, he bought a Redmi Note 3 Pro to replace it, and I helped him factory reset from the recovery menu. He took the device home, and is now saying that theres NO internet apps at all: no Google Search, no Mi Browser, no Chrome. And the search widget doesnt work, and neither does the Google Settings app, which is about the only google app, as the Play Store and the rest are missing. What's happened?

factory resetting the miui v5 global rom via recovery deletes all the google related apps.
Download Google Installer App to install all google apps including playstore. Follow the below link to get the "Google Installer App" with the instructions to use it.

Note: your uncle is using miui v5 which is very old version.

Oh ok, thanks. And P.s. he uses MIUI 5 because before resetting, he had no storage space to install MIUI 7.

Live wallpapers from Pixel

I see the thread here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-live-earth-wallpapers-pixel-backport-t3481221
They all work great except the Earth one, which is by far the best imo. Anyone get it working?
It's working for me.
Running 7.1 DP. Root.
Google Assistant, Pixel Launcher, Google Wallpapers, and Pixel Icons installed.
I installed the apk and that's it. Using it as my wallpaper right now.

Works perfectly fine here, 7.1.1 with root and nova launcher. Assistant nor pixel icons are installed.
Maybe you have issues with the location check or maybe the locating is disabled?
Hey guys how do I root just bought it and it already had 7.1.1

Take the regular nexus path. Unlock bootloader from the dev settings menu and flash twrp and then supersu through it
hmm, wonder if rooting is something needed? Im stock 7.1.1
These look amazing on my stock 7.1.1 rooted N6p, only other thing I need to make this phone look like the pixel is the new round icons.
Can you set a different live wall on lockscreen than home screen?
Loaded and worked fine as long as I used the ARM64 apk attachment at the bottom of the ops first post. I couldn't get the first listed download link for arm64 to run the live earth wall paper, it would crash. Of note on my 6p chrome browser I couldn't see the attached zip file. I had to use my pc to see it was there.

Android for Work / Android Enterprise with Xposed?

Hi everyone,
I've already used Magisk/Xposed+RootCloack in the past to use my rooted device with a company MDM (BYOD policy) and it worked fine, but this year we had a new policy and they gave us a device (COPE policy), then they associate Android Enterprise with MDM activation so now even if I hide the device root, the OS perform some controls and return a block for the MDM Agent.
The problem isn't in the MDM itself (it wouldn't even start if it detected the root) nor SafetyNet detection, that Magisk without Xposed doesn't trigger.
Does anyone know if it's possible to bypass Android Enterprise controls with a Xposed hook or anything else?
Tell me if you need more information or if I wasn't clear,
Thanks
Not sure if they still work or not, but you can try either of these Xposed modules.
NOTE: If you try RootCloak, then you must install the most recent version from the Xposed repo site listed in the description. The other can just be installed through the Xposed app.
Good luck!

RootCloack doesn't work on Nougat, but as I said unfortunatly the problem isn't the MDM Agent itself, but the Android for Work implementation which comes with the Agent.
Also, "Good for Enterprise" is a specific application and it's not my Agent.
Thank you anyway

Google's Digital Wellbeing working on Note9

I used Odin to flash T-Mobile's Pie update on my Unlocked Note 9 (on VZW) and after setting everything up I was on my laptop installing some apps while the phone was restoring everything from Samsung's Cloud. I searched and installed Digital Wellbeing and it works great, the only thing not working yet is the wind down feature.
Nice. Very nice! Works well.

Doesn't appear to work for me. If I search for it in the play store nothing appears and if I download it from APKMirror it installs but can't do anything.

This app enables drawer shortcuts

Mine too seems like Wind Down is a exclusive feature only available on pixel. I have checked on the store there's a app calls Usage Time have features like Digital Wellbeing and Wind Down you can try.
