I have OP3 & use following headphones/earphones
1. Sony XB30
2. MEE Electronics M6 Pro
3. 1More Tripple Driver
4. Audio Technica ATH AD900X
5. Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro's
I change between these according to my needs and the songs i listen.
Though as i told earlier, audio is subjective. Try before you buy
I'm using Xiaomy Hybrid Dual Driver, too, and think about switching to Xiaomi HDPro or Sony MDR EX-450AP.
Generally speaking I prefer earbuds (I.e. in-ear headsets) over other solutions because they give good isolation and immersive sound.
Curious to see what other suggestions will be given here...
I am using Skull candy headphones for my op3

Imo the Sony sounds better. They are more expensive and they're headphones whereas the Sennheisers are earphones. I use the Sennheisers when I'm on the go and the Sony's when I'm at home listening to music or watching a show etc.
I am using Apple Ear pods, sound is good but the volume control buttons of the earphones are not working
I'm using apple ear pods they sound really good tbh.
I use SoundMagic E10's for my Earphones. For headphones I use Audio Technica ATH-M50X's both awesome and inexpensive
Thanks for the replies guys but what about OnePlus Icons Graphite (the new one)

I like the Bose SoundSport earbuds
I use for years some replica of big Beats. Sounds fine on 3 HTC phones & now on OnePlus 3.
i use mee audio mduo, xiaomi piston basic and a jvc ha-fx1x , i can tell the most balanced are the mduo, great bass and trebs, the jvc ones are too basshead, the pistons delivers a greater sound/placement comfort ratio (those thins doesn't fall off even when running), but overall experience gets powered up with a good player, i use poweramp with hi-res output (no eq or tone enabled) + stock eq set on general enhancement + metal preset, i know theese are budget earbuds but they seemed to offer great quality over more expensive ones (shure se 215), hope this helped you

This topic was not opend to praise Apple for its products but to let you know that i've tried several products in order to replace the original HTC HD2 headset (wich is crap by the way) and Apple is the way to go.
I have tried to replace the earbuds on the original headset like shown in the tutotial in the wiki section, I have tried different headphones from Sony Ericsson, Phillips etc.
This morning I tried the Iphone 3G headset... the sound is unbelivable... and on top of that you have the mic and the play/pause/answer/hangup... and with headset button app you can do even forward/back/volume etc.
That's it! Just wanted to let you know
bull****, i have both htc and apple's headphones they both crap but the best headphone i have ever tried is the v moda2.......
the beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
ya may be ,but i thought we are talking about sound quality here.lol...anyway i like my v moda2 but i cant control music from that.do you know any best and cheap bluetooth connector so i can combine my headphones with it to work on hd2.
Sorry to break it to you but you haven't found the best wired headset.
If I ever need to buy a headset with remote control it will be the Etymotic HF2... I doubt you can get anything better sounding that has a remote control. http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/hf2.aspx
Brgds... /Tubgirl
they may be better but they are more than 6 times the price of an iphone 3G headset... and do you know if the remote works with the HD2?
yes these are good but check it out i am using these vibeii and the only problum i am facing(as i mentioned before)is the track backword/forward button is not compatilble with my hd2.however i can still use the mike and play/pause button and one more thing sound is incedible for that much value.that is why i am looking for some sort of bluetooth reciver extention so i can use controllers.
best is hd2's headset modded with in-ears
DN41
i modified it with earbuds from a pair of ipod shuffle headphones (that sounded great on the ipod) but the result is not that good on the HD2
anyway... from what i've seen Etymotic HF2 looks promising...
Best headphones are closed ones ( I prefer Sennheiser , I've got HD515 model)
In-ear : same , Sennheiser , (cx and mx series).
I don't really use a headset but just for listening to music daily, I use the Zune Premium headphones, you can get them pretty cheap on Amazon now and the sound is excellent.
They've no controls but sound quality of the Klipsch Image S4 are brilliant

I have has several set of shures, and now i am the using se210, on both my HD2 and my Zune hd 32gb, they are phenominal.Pricey but worth every cent
Well I think for music my westone UM3X or ATH-CK100 blow all of them out of the water - especially as I have custom sleeves for them......HOWEVER, they don't have a remote control, and are bloody expensive
So kudos to the op for finding a cheap earbud that sounds good enough for the HD2 (as tbh it is a pretty crappy music player if you use high end IEMs), with a FULLY working remote.
Sennheiser for theh win! I had bose inears 125 euros, they did sound like ****,now i have sennheisers cx300 version 2 for 35 euros and sounds much better. @home i use the sennheiser hd 515,also great ghehe. I put these 2 in a jabra bt 3030,best wireless remote ever

Hello,
I want an in-ear headset which is most compatible with my Note 2. Do anyone can suggest me about it??
My wished headsets are.
1. Heartbeats by Dr Dre
2. DNA in ear Pure monster sounds
3. C5 In-Ear Headphones by Bowers & Wilkins
4. HiDefDrum +Remote by Atomic Floyd
Pls help me choosing the most suitable headsets for my Note 2. Thanks in advance.:cyclops:
A little confused with your question because you listed 4 pairs of wired earbuds that supposed to have high quality sound but in terms of compatibility catered toward iPhone with an extra remote functionality. I'm not 100% sure with each since I just briefly looked up their spec, but they offer a basic mic with call button to pick up/end the call, and probably play/pause the music/video. But if you want a true multimedia compatibility you probably better off with a cheapo Samsung headphones, although it's hard to find genuine since even Amazon is filled with $5 knockoffs and their sound quality is sub-par. If you are after sound quality and full Android compatibility, check out review of JayBird Blue Buds X I posted earlier (link in my signature). Those are wireless bluetooth and fully compatible with Note 2, although if you prefer wired one that can be used with any audio device or on a plane, you probably better off with wired solution.
As you were told, the list you provided isn't that compatible with Android and Note II in specific.
You can check out Etymotic that have good earphones and are compatible with Android devices.
Personally, I use Superdarts by Atomic Floyd and am very happy with them (but they're not for anyone) in terms of sound quality and mic quality (which really surprised me).

Wow, so you have $1,200 pair of earbuds and $4,800 pair of headphones, and I would guess that tube headphone amp cost thousands of dollars as well?!? And you don't consider yourself audiophiles? I just consider you a VERY rich person who has a good taste in best gadgets
With cars, I know you are not a car racer. You just have your Maserati and Porsche as daily beaters
The Note produces great sound, and to complement that I'm using the Logitech Ultimate Ears 350vm. It's a nice pair of earphones with a strong bass, plus the controls on the earphones work too. Very, very comfortable and the length of the wires is long enough to be comfortable around you.
For $1300, I'd rather buy the Shure SE535 LTD(which is still considered as the best IEM among audiophiles) + its Android compatible cable or even a pair of custom JH or UE.
I haven't listen to the K3003I yet, but from what I've read on Headfi and HeadRoom, the K3003I is really overpriced.
Just ordered Etymotic HF2; given the rave reviews i dug up online, i am suprised no body here has them!

If you want a better sound quality and more bass, go for B&W C5. If you care more about neutral sound with better comfort and noise isolation - MIE2. I can't speak for C5, since I only reviewed their P3 and P7 headphones (per my link in sig), but I heard a mixed opinion about the comfort of their fitment with that adjustable wire loop. If you wear your in-ear headphones for an extended period of time, I would suggest MIE2.
Also, take a look into Shure SE215, those go for about $99 and have removable cable. Have decent sound isolation, comfy fit, and warmer sound signature toward bass. Typically, cables break and you have to through away your headphones. With removable cables, you just get another set for $20.
I came back to the creative ep630s. Nothing beats them, in the price to performance ratio.

Hey XDA, I have reading through all the posts and cant seem to find a solid answer on this. Im looking for an in-ear earphones that provide amazing bass, without forgetting the sound quality. I like the original earphones that come with the samsung note 2 , they are pretty good and with some mods the bass that gets pushed out of them are actually pretty impressive. Problem is they arent durable at all, one of the earbuds always dies and only one works after a month or so. So as a wrap up I need :
*Amazing Bass as well as sound quality
*Durable
*Less then $140
Thanks !
Here
i dont know whether u believe it r not.but these are the best earphones par better than samsung original..im using them from almost 8 months.getting better and beter.price is much lower than highrated dumb headphones
link:http://www.tekfusiontechnologies.com/twinwoofers-m-in-ear-headphones/
I would suggest posting this question in Accessories Section of XDA in Jeremy's Headphone/Earphone guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131021
You can also look through my headphone reviews: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333, though my focus is on balanced audiophile sound rather than basshead sound.
The problem with exaggerated bass is that it overpowers mids and treble, and muddies the song. Typically you want to look for something that has V-shaped sound (boost in mid-bass and treble and recessed mids). If you look in my review list, you will get that from Meelec M-Duo and Sennheiser CX895 (very high quality for bass with right set of eartips). But one that I would also recommend, so don't have it myself is Shure SE-215 - it goes for about $99 (either on Amazon or Saltwater) and has removable cables to extend longevity of headphones. My personal fav which I used everyday is Westone W40 but it's $500 quad-driver with tamed bass, not a basshead. There are also a few budget options I'm trying to get review samples of, Xiaomi Pistons 2 (about $30) and Astrotec AX35 (dual driver with dynamic driver for bass and armature driver for mids/treble).
I'd recommend the Klipsh Image x10's. You can get em off amazon for $136.98 right now. Very crisp with surprisingly good bass. It'll be better than most other things out there.
If you can go another hundred bucks, you can get a pair of Sennheiser IE80s from Amazon.De (no import tax, ships to the US in about a week). They are, by far, the BEST bass you can get in an IEM with one of the largest soundstages of any pair of cans. They're worth the upgrade if you use IEMs a lot.
EDIT: Just stay away from Beats by Dre. Seriously. They're branded crap made by Monster. They have bass because they overload the lows so much it distorts everything else and the drivers arent quality so overtime the bass will get muddled and sound like crap. The X10s or a pair of Shures will sound exponentially better and are made better by people who know how to make and design headphones. You can get a beats plugin or flash a beats mod to get everything that would make any headphone sound just as crappy as a pair of $150 dres.

x10 has a quality bass, not the "basshead" quantity he is looking for Klipsch is definitely a great choice, but they are more in an audiophile category rather than "fun" category, and also their quality went down (just like UE and others).
Regarding Beats, yes, stay away from them. I wouldn't blame Monster as much since they were under a contract to manufacture these headphones rather than design them. If anybody to blame it's Dr Dre Once their contract expired in 2012 and Beats went on to manufacture their own stuff, Monster is actually pumping some quality products. I just posted review of their DNA Pro over-ear headphones (in my sig link of reviews), and the sound was top notch. I'm waiting now to receive Monster iSport Victory to check out how their new in-ears sound.
Skull Candy FJM. fits the bill, less than 24 dollars. Equalize with Viper4Android, done deal.
Monoprice 8320 "enhanced bass" or ones in the same family. It's less than $10 and they often score higher than much more expensive earphones in reviews.
Of course, with a budget of $140, you can get something better, but if the Monoprice suit you fine, well, you saved $130.
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone , I ended up getting the Meelec M-Duo and these are some solid earphones, modded some of the audio on the note 2 and its gives great bass that shakes my ears and I can still hear the song clearly, solid purchase! Thanks vectron for the tip !

I´m not an audiophile and I´ve been using the bundled earphones since day one.
I think that the Note2 sound quality with these earphones is really good (the rom I use also has a lot of sound tweaks).
Do you think that the sound quality will notoriously improve using other (better) in-ear headphones? (they must be in-ear).

Yup, another vote here for the Jaybird x3. Comfortable and offer great sound. Can’t go wrong buying em.
I use the Bose QC35. One of the best Noise cancellation headsets in the market.and huge battery backup.
I'd go for one of the Sony over ear wireless sets. I have the MDR10RNC and they're incredible. Just my two cents
I tried noise cancelling phones (sony and bose) and their sound quality is sub-par compared to good ear buds. no doubt they are very good at noise cancelling. I like my Jaybird X2 lot better than Sony MDR-1000X and Bose QC35. Try them first before you purchase.
Jaybird X3s here in Camo. With MemoryFoam tips of the right size are absolutely superb daily drivers. Won't win any audiophile SQ awards, but deliver on all sound fronts for the genres of music I listen to; EDM, HipHop, Rock, New Age. I use the Eq on the Jaybird App in tandem with the Eq in PowerAmp. Good stuff there.
When I really want some bass I plug in my MDR-XB90Ex's with Comply tips.
I don't know about the others but I have the Onkyo E700BT and I'm very satisfied with them.
Westone W60
I got the (wired) Sure se215, took off the earbuds and connected them to a $20 bluetooth 4.1 apt-x cable from aliexpress (with a CSR8645 chip), giving me 8hrs of wireless bliss with enhanced sound!
I have the Bose Soundsport Wireless and the Sony MDR-ZX770BN and love them both. The Bose are great for running, gym work and outdoors while the Sony are great for in office listening as they get rid of the AC background hum which also works great on a flight.
I did have the Jaybird X3 and the design and sound were great but after an hour or so they started hurting my ears whereas the Bose don't put any pressure on your ear canal and lock into your ear with the rubber fin which I find much more comfortable.
I got myself a pair of the V-MODA Crossfade II Wireless. They're still having the spring sale (??), so get em' while you can.
If you are really interested in getting a nice audio setup, you will need a nice amp that can power your headphones. Phone DACs are not as good (in comparison) and cannot possibly hope to compare with say a desktop setup (e.g. Sennheiser HD 800S, Woo Audio Amp [brand doesn't necessarily matter], nice balanced cables, a good sound card for your PC). You can easily spend thousands of dollars...
Wired is always better than wireless. You can easily get to the point of diminishing returns with a phone, but I'd say an easy pick for a great earphone is the Sennheiser IE 800S. Obviously you would need a DAC AMP to get more out of the earphones, but I'm sure you either won't be able to tell the sound quality difference, or you can rest easy knowing that your earphones are not the limiting factor in your phone setup.
xdadevelopers is more of a software site. If you are interested in learning more, I would suggest you check out head-fi

I bought those, really good sound quality of you could get them to stay in your ear properly, also not made well as 2 set have had the 3.5mm jack fail on me now. I went with Sennheiser 599's after that and haven't looked back. They are big , and over the ear , but sound quality is awesome.

The earphones that come with the Note 8 are actually pretty good. I don't see the point in getting another set unless you are a hardcore audiophile.
The AKGs the note 8 came with lmao
Beats studio 3 wireless working great for me

I got the (wired) Sure se215, took off the earbuds and connected them to a $20 bluetooth 4.1 apt-x cable from aliexpress (with a CSR8645 chip), giving me 8hrs of wireless bliss with enhanced sound!

Do you have a link? I love my Shure Se215 and they released the wireless versions of them, but I don't wanna spend the 100 for the Shure adapter. How is the sound quality, any issues with the bluetooth?
