Hi!
I've used Sultan's ROM for a while now and thought I might try OOS out (kinda want Nougat for some reason).
The thing is I want root (100% necessary) and was wondering if I could just flash OOS and SuperSU through TWRP without any "encryption failures" etc. I've done flashing many times so fiddling around in TWRP should not be an issue!
Thanks in advance
Simply wipe system, data and cache, then flash full Rom OOs 4.0.3 and SuperSU in sequence

I saw there is already a thread about updating with twrp, but I still got questions so…sorry for asking again.
My 3T is on Oxygen OS 4.0.1, and is already rooted with twrp 3.0.3-1 and SuperSU 2.79.
Just now I saw 4.0.2 is out. And I'm not sure how to get it.
I assume I need to download the full zip and put it in storage and [install] it in TWRP, but I have other questions…
Do I need to [wipe] something before flashing? Dalvik or Cache or something like that? I'm not sure about what they actually mean.
Or wipe again after that?
And do I need to flash twrp and SuperSu again in the process? And in what order?
Download the full 4.0.2 ota zip, boot to TWRP, flash full 4.0.2 zip, reboot recovery, then reflash the latest super su in TWRP. This would be considered a dirty flash due to no data being g wiped, so if you're able to backup your current setup, that would be preferred.
I've done the dirty flash as shown above and all is good!

wipe system, cache, dalvik and data
flash rom
flash bootstack b25
should work
if it doesn't try to reboot to recovery and flash bootstack b25 again, good luck
I actually flashed the b15 in this thread first, then it broke everything, wouldn't even boot device
then I went into edl and I restored twrp with xiaomi mi flash method
booted in recovery and flashed b25 bootstack, then it booted mifavor 5
If you put the rom first,
Start with any b15, b5 or b25 bootstraps
I already mentioned it above, but it seems that no one reads

I have the U variant. Flashing B25 bootstack.
I'm gonna try it in a bit and if nothing else I'll flash regular B25
When I install 3.5.1 the phone starts up, unfortunately there is no MAC address. After upgrading to a newer version of the software using. zip, the phone falls into bootlop. Has anyone encountered such a problem and knows how to solve it? op3t 6/128gb
There's not enough Information to help you to which Version are you Updating? You need a special TWRP for Oreo Update for example. Try full wipe and wipe Cache
I agree with the above response. Not enough info. Stock recovery, or TWRP?
If TWRP, are you using a full update (>1 GB) or the partial "patch" OTA?
If TWRP, and updating to Oreo, you need a version which supports Oreo (either TWRP 3.2.1.0 or blue_spark TWRP 8.61).
Also, if updating by TWRP and not wiping, you may need to wipe (default wipe in TWRP is enough) then try to update again. Normally, you can "dirty flash" (migrate your data by updating and not wiping), but sometimes you will have to wipe.
Full wipe... And before that event, back up everything you want to save to your pc / mac.

OK you want to use the original OxygenOS 9.0.4?
Then go this way (all your data will be lost!):
1. in TWRP (3.3.1.0) delete all partitions (Dalvik, Cache, System, Data,...)
2. reboot into TWRP
3. format Data in Wipe - Format Data - type YES
4. reboot into TWRP
5. connect your phone with your computer and install full OxygenOS 9.0.4 zip (download from OP page)
6. reboot into TWRP and install magisk, if you want to keep TWRP. Else reboot into system
First boot takes 5-10 Minutes.
Thanks sir i will try and inform you if it work i will be thanks ful

Is there any method i can download miui cloud message, call history backup without install miui rom
Hi everyone!!
I have the update notification for 12.0.2.0 global, but I have a rooted phone with TWRP installed.
If I wish to update through TWRP without losing my data, apps and root what can I do?
Is there any method?
Where can I download the update file to flash with TWRP?
Thank you for any help!!
hi there,
if you also have the Mi 9 CEPHEUS- Global version, just download the .zip Rom from here:
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.2.0.QFAMIXM/miui_CEPHEUSGlobal_V12.0.2.0.QFAMIXM_a559c4c1fe_10.0.zip
this link is provided in this page from XDA: https://www.xda-developers.com/down...ing-out-several-xiaomi-redmi-mi-poco-devices/
install normally with TWRP, and then flash Magisk 20.4 as well and reboot.
What I personally did, was taking a backup of my apps with Titanium and wiped (Dalvik, Cache, System root, Vendor and Data) in TWRP before flashing the Rom to prevent any possible bootloops.
Bu you can also try it without the major wipes and see if it works.

Thank you for for reply and help.
So I did exactly like you explained, but before going into TWRP I removed my mi account and any fingerprint/passwords, then in TWRP i did only wipe dalvik and cache to avoid losing everything from apps.
And voilá! It worked!
Thank you again!!!
Oh brilliant!
And yes you did it right about removing your account and lock screen, which I forgot to mention.
