Is there one like on the Samsung phones? I want to check if carrier aggregation is active.
Go to about phone, then tap on kernel 5 times or so

I have been trying to activate the hidden menus on this device with the ultimate goal of using the menus to force LTE only. I have rooted the phone using the latest version of Odin (I believe 3.10.6 or 3.10.7). I have tried multiple third party apps and I have tried side loading different apk's through adb, but nothing seems to work for me. I haven't been able to find any threads about my situation that could point me in the right direction and would appreciate any help!
That is a cellular south firmware, so is that your carrier? If it is, continue reading, if not you should probably flash the tmobile rom.
What happens when you dial *#0011# ?
And then try *#2263#
If neither of these work it's likely that the hidden menu access is removed from your firmware version by the carrier and there is no way to change that that doesn't involve flashing new firmware. If the phone is carrier unlocked you could flash tmobile firmware on it since it uses the same phone model. Tmobile has hidden menus enabled. You should of course research the risks of doing so and whether that would stop you from using certain carrier features. [I know nothing about Cellular south.]

When I dial *#0011#, I get the ServiceMode menu. Is there more settings to this?
When I dial *#2263#, nothing seems to happen.
2263 is the section of service mode that allows you to specify band selection.

It seems it's removed from your firmware.

I flashed the phone with the T Mobile firmware and I am able to access both codes. However, I am not able to get to the part in the service menu (*#0011#) in which I can select an LTE only mode. The menu doesn't seem to respond to any key inputs. Currently, the phone is unrooted with a firmware of G920TUVS3DOJC. Does it have to be rooted again in order to be able to access that part of the menu? Or is there a different way?
Ah it seems I misunderstood your question a bit. I thought you wanted to force a specific lte band, which 2263 can do. 0011 is not an interactive menu, it's just a status screen. I don't know of any way to force it to LTE so that it never drops off to other mobile technologies.
Edit: If you go to 2263, under band disable settings, select WCDMA [this is I believe what samsung calls HSPA for some reason]. You'll see this: https://puu.sh/nDjIp/d95be8b0a1.jpg
Tap each band there once and the [*] will appear which means it's disabled. Disabling them all should in effect disable HSPA. Hope that helps. Almost positive there's no way to disable things like edge or gprs though.
Hi,
I have a Singapore N920I. Im using the phone in INDIA and am not enable to Enable VOLTE. its says 'unsupported by current software version'. Ive tried enabling the 'turn off volte provisioned flag' but doesn't work when tapping on it. My device is rooted. Is there any way to enable VOLTE on my phone.
Android version : 6.0.1
BaseBand: N920IDVU2BPE2
Model : SM-N920I
Thanks
As far as I know, and don't quote me on this. You cannot. The volte service is different from carrier to carrier. For example, I had a Verizon s6 when I switched to T-Mobile. Both networks support volte/advanced calling, however when I tried to activate volte on T-Mobile, it didn't work. The software is looking for the wrong signal. You're best bet is to sell the one you have an buy one compatible with your carrier. Also you could check over on the general note 5 development threads. There is far more support over there for devices that aren't the 920t. Hope this helps.
Your CSC doesn't support the other network. So its like trying to log into a website with a different website account.
This is not New
I want to know if anybody can help to post the Band coverage by screenshoot on their Note 8
I am just wondering by Turning on/off band preference on their service mode, it will resolve the speed problem on Data and coverage problem, As we know some people buy the hand set such Unlocked version . US carrier (TMo/Ver/ATT/Sprint) version ,International version , but they don't use the same carrier the note 8 is manufactured for.
Like mine My Note 8 is T Mobile version .
You can see by press => setting=>about phone=> Service provider SW ver. last line is TMB/TMB/TMB
By Checking Service Mode for Band Coverage by dialing *#2263# on dial pad you will see like mine below
With TMB/TMB/TMB , I found after press 2 that WCDMA Band preference==> some band not supported .
please stated what model is your Note 8 firmware while you do iit and "Service provider SW ver"
this is also will help us to make decision if changing carrier/Carrier switching by flashing the FW is necessary.

Good morning
The service mode doesnt work for my note, do you know if theres another code to access that menu (I have the international version and wanted to check my coverage/data)
Hello,
I use the Three network in the UK with an unlimited data plan and they provide a service called 4G Super-Voice also know as VoLTE.
To get this working I had to flash my Note 9 with the 3 firmware which is annoying because of the boot screens but its worth it for VoLTE.
Anyway, I can only access 4G Super-Voice if I put my phone in aeroplane mode and then off aeroplane mode. I then can see using *#0011# that I am using band 20 which is used for 4G Super-Voice.
With this, I can access VoLTE, better signal and faster 4G speeds. But after 30seconds it goes back to Band 3 and I no longer have access to VoLTE and the faster speeds Band 20 offers.
I have had a look online and a few people have fixed this on other devices by only letting the phone access Band 20 and disable the rest. On my Note 9 when I try entering Service mode using *#2683662# I'm left with a blank screen with no options to select. Not sure if 3 have locked this on there firmware or if I'm accessing the menu wrong. Any Help is much appreciated. Thank You

Yes, you can lock out certain bands while allowing others, but the *#2683662# code has been deprecated in the latest models/firmwares.
Enter this diag code *#2263# or *#2766338378#, tap LTE Bands Preferences, one by one deselect all the bands you don't want (especially band 3), tap on Go Home or Go Back/Previous, and finally tap on Apply Band Configuration. If you did everything correctly your phone should no longer pick up the unwanted bands.
Here's some more information about this issue.

Hi guys,
I have rooted my note 8 with deluxe ROM to access hidden network setting option to lock specific band of network. As we know that, Hidden network setting option is disabled by Samsung but, I rooted my device and download apk of hidden network setting and placed in system with help of root explorer. Everything went perfect. Now, I can access section where i can select specific band and lock it. I access it with Shortcut Master Lite. But, When i tick on specific band and toggle the selection button then it shows message success. Immediately my network change to my selected band. I can check from *#0011#. But, if my phone remain in stable state for few seconds then it automatically switch to another band. Which mean it didn't lock to specific Band. When i go back to hidden network setting, there is no tick on my selected BAND but toggle but still says that i am on selected band option instead of LTE ALL. I am using India Jio Sim card which support Band 3, 5 and 40. I get very good internet speed on 3 and 5. But, It automatically switch to Band 40 when its remain in stable state.
I want to lock it to Specific band only. Can you help regarding it. I am using deluxe ROM with Android 9.
Thanks

Hello, were you able to fix this problem ?
Am going through the same atm
I'm facing the same issue on my N950F. Don't understand why samsung locked this on the Note 8, most new phones allow this setting. Any way to work around this with root ??
Edit: this is what worked for me https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-lock-lte-band.3681480/#post-74325453
TL;DR: Get org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo (no longer available on the play store), and run ServiceMode as root. Follow the guide above to disable unwanted LTE bands. Finally a solution that works for devices which Samsung disabled the "Band Selection" menu method (blue background issue).
