Good evening you good people of XDA land! :highfive:
I am looking for a new phone to replace my now very broken and almost dead iPhone 6 plus for a S7 Edge. When I get the new handset I will need a new case for it, but here is my dilemma! what case to go for?
I have read a lot of reviews that say the battery live isn't as good as other handsets win this size, so I'm not sure as weather to try a batter case. I've never used one and I'm a bit concerned that it will add too much bulk to the handset or worst case damage it in some way. for my old Iphone I had a Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal Cover Case and really like it but felt that the metal in places was very thin, and eventually it did break. I was thinking of getting the same for the S7 and getting an external battery charger thing.
I would be grateful for any advise and opinions form you chaps and chapets!

I'm now using led cover, and work really well, but I don't recommend it for you... because it will open and let your phone face down when fall..... And an battery case can work well and more useful... because my S7E won't last whole day gaming...... ,start at 10 AM and battery dead at 9 PM(which is very good, but not enough for me D so get battery case if you need do fit or game..... if not get other case...... you can last one day without charge if you don't game....
Used since October and no once fall.(sorry if my English not so good)

Thanks,
I do a bit of gaming, but not massive amounts and not really anything to intense. FM16 was as far a I went in my iPhone.

I have the UAG, Spigen Neo Hybrid, Poetic Affinity, and Tech21 Evo frame and so far the Tech21 is my favorite. I do really like the other case and the UAG is my second favorite but it is just a little too busy on back for my taste. All the cases I named are very good though. Hope this helps

1) $100 discount
2) It still has a headphone jack
3) It still has the fingerprint scanner on the front, where it belongs.
4) If required, there is a working root solution today. There are no guarantees an engineering root (or any root) will ever work on the S8.

This, 9 days away from revealing, for sale just after.
1. I'd pay $100 to have such a big difference. It's not like an iPhone that's virtually the same every year.
2.S8 has a headphone jack. Again, it's not an iPhone
3.Finger scanner on back isn't bad. Think about where you place your fingers on back when holding. It's not unergonomic. Plus, bigger screen so...
4. What is root really worth anymore? It's NOTHING like it used to be unless you want broken apps and $hit battery life

Thanks Joe, I've been bouncing back on forth on whether to root - mainly out of nostalgia for the fun of ROM swapping and eaking out more life from the phone.
But you've helped convince me there's very little I miss about rooting, nothing that isn't outweighed by stability.

I used to root/jailbreak EVERYTHING. I wouldn't buy a phone I couldn't root. I even still have a Note tablet running a CM Nougat. I wouldn't get a phone I couldn't root, I've built several stable af and reputable ROMs. Now days, especially with Package Disabler I haven't rooted in a long time. Xposed, everything is so problematic. Root cloaks don't hide root from most apps, and MANY apps are broken or simply state they won't work with root. Not to mention you run a kernel meant to be flashed, the phones problem fixed, then flashed stock. It's NOT for daily use. Instability, excessive battery drain, there's nothing enticing about root anymore.

It's a cost cutting exercise. I need a new phone and I want one that is as up to date as possible. I've got a iPhone 6 Plus but to upgrade to the 7 plus will set me back around £100 upfront and then £30-40 more a month than the s7.
I'm going to guess that the s8 will cost the same!

IMO, your best bet is to invest in wireless charging and not worry so much about battery. I have a dock for work and one for home. When I'm not using it, it's on the dock charging. Really changes how you use it over time. Case is really a personal choice. I'm happy as can be with Spigen Rugged Armor. Doesn't affect wireless rapid charge at all.
On another note, play with one at the store. The edge can be kind of frustrating. Case reduces ghost touches, but it's still there. There are also other little annoying things like the placement of the attachment button in messages. I use that several times a day, and it is annoyingly right on that edge. If you watch a lot of video tho, it really looks great on this screen.

I'm not sure wireless will work for me at work as I don't have anywhere other than my pocket to leave the phone!
That's one reason why I was lookin at battery cases. I'm having trouble picking a case as I can really tell from pics online what they are like. And I'm not sure if any local shops have a decent range of cases to browse!

Right on. I'd grab the phone first, see how it meets your needs. Accessories don't resell well, if at all. Power banks are cheap enough, altho I'll skip. I'd rather have an ugly case than 2 bricks tethered together. Good luck with your purchases.
ETA:
If you use power save mode on these, you can literally get days of use from a charge. With everything set to performance, I still get through a full day on it.

If you're leaving your phone in your pocket, then (depending on how tight your pockets are) you really have a choice between a case or a power bank. Personally I'd choose a bank because you can charge anything with it and they're insanely cheaper (US $15 vs. US$85 for a charging case). If you do get a case, I'd recommend spending a little extra (especially if you're getting the S7 on sale) and getting one from a solid company with a good manufacturer's warranty so that, if it breaks, you can get it fixed.
Another reason to get the S7E is that is still uses MicroUSB and not USB-C, so it'll be easier getting accessories for it.

I'm really considering a power bank. I have a Microsoft surface 3 that I can't plug in anywhere at college so could do with having something for that. Any suggestions on what power bank to look at?

eh dont deal with any carrier - tmo seems to be the least intrusive
if you really want it - get the 935F (exanos, international version). you'll get the latest updates from samsung and then also have the capability to load ROMs, etc if you want to. battery lasts longer too.

This is by far my favorite of the 3 holsters I've previously owned for various phones by the same company. Phone sits very secure with no fear of falling out at all.
Interesting, the price is a bit steep but not too high.
I would like to see some higher res pics from a few angles to get a better idea of what the case cover looks like.
I have the holster but how do you know the extended battery fits the holster? From the single photo of the battery cover, it looks like the top sticks out as much as the area below the camera...

Yes I did see that though from the photo it does not look like that's the case. Do you really think it's compatible from that photo? I've had the extended battery for the Storm and the holster worked fine because the battery cover did not extend on the upper portion where the camera is. Guess we'll have to wait for someone to actually dive in but in the meantime I'm sticking to what I can tell from that photo on their site.
Reasonable price? depends on what you think is reasonable. You do realize that without either the battery or the phone, the other is pretty worthless. I think it's a great price considering crap motorola batteries are $30
got this from seidio, just an fyi, they must be talking about different holsters or the listing might just be plain incorrect.

I ordered this, and its been shipped already and I am awaiting arrival. I also have the innocase and holster combo, and while I know the innocase wont fit, I will try the holster and report back if that one works.
any idea which case will work?
:/
I got mine today. Huge battery
The replacement cover is ok, although I am afraid it will accidentally slide off in my pocket.
Overall, the added bulk really doesn't make a huge difference, in fact it makes it a little easier to hold.
Can't wait to see what the battery life on this sucker is like.

I got mine today too. I also like the added bulk. It fits my Seidio holster, even though the innocase that I got with the holster wont fit. Made of the same material as the innocase so its hard to scuff etc. I'll report back after a few cycles to let people know what I'm getting usage wise out of it.
UPDATE:
Well, it came off the charger at 3:30pm today saying 100%. I have been hammering it mercilessly for 6 hours now. Streaming Pandora for six hours straight, Turned on GPS, set all of my social network notifications to the quickest pull intervals, and my mail also. I have had the web browser open for nearly three hours, had three calls of around 20 minutes each, and my awake time since I pulled the battery off the charger is 100%. I am sitting at 75% right now. I am trying to get the battery low so I can get a full charge for the next cycle, but this damn thing won't go down. I guess I'll try to download a game or something and play it while listening to Pandora. This thing is a beast....
This is a beast. Used it all evening last night, and the power meter did not budge.
Also the new back makes the Hero much easier to hold.
Waiting for a day in the office where I have a weak signal to see how it does there. I'm guessing this thing will make it through a day or two no matter what I throw at it.
By far the best accessory...
Awesome, guys, glad to hear this thing is the real deal. I'm thinking about getting one but I'm waiting for the price to go down. Anyone know if they usually do? Last extended battery I bought was only $7, this one is pretty steep.

watch out for these kinda deals, i'm fairly certain seidio's waranty doesn't transfer to 3rd party sellers completely.
I had purchased a battery from seidio previously that was DoA, and after a conversation with their RMA department getting my invoice number and all that, they said they will replace bad batteries from anywhere but since I purchased through seidio directly they would send me a replacement without having to send the old one back first (or at all, they just said to pitch it). The battery that was sent to me was tested with a full power cycle before being over-nighted to my door.
I don't know, it's something to think about. If I'm getting a quality piece of gear, and the service to back it. I don't mind throwing out an extra little bit.
I'm on my second charge. The phone has been off the charger since 12pm on Sunday. I am sitting at 70% on Monday at 2pm. I'm really liking the usage I am getting out of this. I did not beat on it too much yesterday, just a lot of normal use. I figure at this rate, I will have to charge it every three or so days. I'm hoping it improves after a few cycles, even though I've only charged it twice so far. I'm going to run it down to 30% or so before the next charge....who knows when that will be lol.
Has anyone seen any 3rd party solutions for this yet? Cases, etc?
I miss it to death, can't seem to forget how nice it was on the N5. Especially with the not-so-great battery life, would be really nice to be able to place it on a charging pad at work or home when not using it.
I'm considering switching to N6 just for this, even with the downside of not being able to fit it in my pants pocket... on that note btw, after playing with the N6 and Note4 at the store, the Moto X feels tiny in my hands now!!

One reviewer says that it works just fine with the X. You could probably also stick it behind the case back if you're willing to open it up.
Yep I ordered it yesterday. Will give it a try with a case this evening and post how well it works. Not sure I'm ready to take off the back just yet, ha.

Works quite well with the i-Blason case. I got that exact wireless charger insert, just fit it between case and the device. I also cut the top off the charger, otherwise it was sticking too far out into the "dimple" of the case.
I am not a big fan of cases and would like to eventually just stick this behind the back cover - anyone know if the back cover is tough to take off?
Anyone look into an internal mod yet? Anyone able to take the back off safely and put this inside?

Very good to hear!
I'm still using my zerolemon 9300 mah with my note 2.
I hate the idea of going back to a small battery.
And btw, I don't like the light skinny phones. I love my big brick phone.
Still on the fence about upgrading. Maybe note 4, maybe note 5.
I'm just crazy enough that the upcoming keyboard case might be what sways me to note 5!

Not for nothing, but who would need such a case? Maybe a survivalist or something. Most of us are around a charging source somewhere (home, office, car, etc.), especially since there are tons of portable USB chargers. I think the Note 5 is too gorgeous to place in a brick.
It'll be cool for the airport. Or traveling international. For everyday use I'll just carry a power bank that is quick charge compatible.
I'll carry a wireless battery powered charger before putting a huge battery case on.

Not to bash the Note5 or Sammy (Loving mine so far), but I've heard the keyboard case is kind of dumb. Sounds like the keyboard functions by little rubber pieces under the keys actually pushing the keys of the on screen keyboard. I hope this is not the case but I believe it is.
Yeah that's all it is. But if it helps me to speed type without as many typos I will love it!
As to the big battery case, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I know it's not for everyone but I love my big phone and everything else is too darn light. I don't even like the way my phone feels with the regular battery in. I like it hefty.
I think they look really pretty naked but there's no way I'd risk a drop and shatter anyway.
It would be nice to be able to use other cases though. I'm stuck with the zerolemon tpu that came with the battery or the rugged case. Nothing else fits. (exception, I could rig an otterbox defender to work but never wanted to spend the money)
Who knows what I'll end up doing.
I'm not tied to Samsung so if someone else would ever come up with a ginormous phone that comes near the specs I'd look at that too.
Maybe I should just use a laptop as a phone.

I agree, it's not a good idea to carry with a new giant case and battery when the new phone has good battery life, which lasts all day with one charge, sometimes a day and a half for me. Anyway, the Zerolemon is still an excellent alternative for a long business trip.

If you want a good, very fast, keyboard try out Fleksy. Doesn't have swype style typing, which I don't like anyway. Its the best tap typing experience I've ever had, and I can type 3x faster on fleksy with almost no mistakes than any other. And the autocorrect is top notch.
80 dollars for what amounts to a plastic molded keyboard that presses the onscreen keyboard underneath with capacitive nubs. It doesn't even detect it using some kind of cool technology, just a specific 4 point capacitive pattern on the screen triggers it. LAME. When its the 15$ its actually worth, I would consider buying one just to have it.
I'd pay $100 if it makes it so I can type faster.
Meh. Money is no object. lol
I miss my g1. (well, I still have it, just miss typing on it.)

Sadly its highly unlikely the zerolemon mod for the note 5 will be 10000mah. It will more then likely be a charging case that comes close in total when paired with the stock battery to 10000mah. Hopefully it comes with a holster. The charging cases while the only option vs the removable extended battery of old dont provide the same seamless operation.
I need such a case. So do the 14 people that work for me that I upgraded to the note 5. The battery life is abysmal. Even when idle its abysmal. Its a great phone for productivity if it would stay powered on until lunch and right now it does not do that. You take a few pics and answer a few emails and its under 60%. We tested it against the Note 2 with the stock 3 year old battery and the note 5 got its ass kicked.
The zerolemon packs totally change how people use the phones. With a 10000mah-ish capacity you can literally use the phone all day. You instantly stop caring and just go. The phone always has battery. You start to forget that there is a battery in the phone that needs to be charged. On occasion you plug it in when you go to sleep... Thats it. These mods take the phone from toy status to a serious tool status.
For people like me the case is a win win. I have big hands. Its almost impossible for me to hold the note 5 without touching the screen at the same time. They have gone a little to far with trimming down device. I crave being able to grab my phone again without having to coddle the device..
I went for note 4 instead of note 5. For all the intended purposes, note 4 is a better device for me. But using zerolemon case causes bad echo whenever using speakerphone. Anyone with the same problem?

Anyone ordering this? a combined 7000 mAh sounds amazing... The specs say it will charge the s7 edge 1/2 way so it's like having an s7 edge with 5400 mah instead of the 3600mah.
Too bad the battery case doesn't charge wirelessly also. That'd be cool.
I searched the model # and found a few sites selling for under retail, but the sites authenticity seems sketchy.
For example,
$66 here http://www.compsource.com/pn/EPTG93...harging-Pk-Black-Eptg935bbugus-Eptg935bbugus/
or
$72 here http://www.pcconnection.com/product/samsung-pk-wrls-charging-blk-pwr/ep-tg935bbugus/31604712
No. too big for me.

I'm going to live with the 3600mAh battery in the phone for a while and see how it goes, but I had been using the Mophie case for my S6 edge and grown used to the extra bulk. It's not bad once you get used to it and the phone seems tiny and fragile when you take it out, but I never had to worry about battery life with it.
But, if I do look for a battery case, I will definitely look at the Mophie over this for a couple of reasons:
- Mophie charges wirelessly so I can just drop it on a pad at night (or wherever)
- Mophie has a chin - I hate how easy it is to hit the back button when picking up the phone
- Mophie delivers more power per weight/volume to the phone because it isn't using an inefficient interface to supply power to the phone
Basically, I find the chin on the Mophie to be a feature. I frequently start the phone doing something and then put it down and may need to pick it up again. With the way the capacitive buttons are arranged on the bare phone I often hit the back button by accident thereby killing the operation I was monitoring. I also frequently have friends hit the back button when I hand them my phone to show them something, and the chin cuts way down on that.
Additionally, Mophie uses the wireless charging where it matters more to me. I could care less how the case delivers power to the phone because it will likely stay there for a while so "drop on, lift off" convenience is irrelevant. I care far more about how the case will connect to my "infinite supply of electrons" when I charge it. Realistically the phone will live in the case so the ease of connection to the case is a once a month kind of thing, but the ease of connection to the wall is an every day and sometimes twice kind of thing. Also, when I charge it I care a lot less about efficiency than I do when I consider how much weight of battery I have to carry around compared to how many electrons that battery will end up delivering to my phone. Efficiency is much more important between case and phone that it is between wall plug and phone.

samsungs own and would be interested if there was a zero leamon version.
if any of you have this, can it charge other phone? i mean if we put other smaller phone who have the ability of wireless charging also, into the battery case, will it charge?
I don't see why it wouldn't work. Not so long ago I made a mistake of getting my S6E+ a Samsung wireless battery case. My S7E charging via the aforementioned wireless charging case.
Nice! Should be postin' something like that too! lol! Yes, it should work fine charging it wirelessly.
Is the case water-resistant?
I go on long runs with my Galaxy S5 and always carry a spare battery. Even if it is pouring rain, I don't have to worry since my Galaxy S5 is water-resistant. Is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Backpack water-resistant also? It would make sense, but I have no idea what corporate Samsung higher-ups decided to green light. Also, if it isn't, does anyone know if other battery cases for Galaxy S7 (Edge especially) are water-resistant. Like the Morphie battery case perhaps?
The Mophie cases for the S5 and S6 Edge both have "keep dry and away from moisture" in their manuals. The S7 case doesn't have full specs listed yet, but they've already announced that it will support wireless charging so they've obviously tweaked the design some from previous generations - as to whether the new design goals included water resistance, only time will tell...
I like the idea but the one issue I see is that it will protect the phone except for the front. If they could have extended the 4 corners out a few mill then it would help protect the edge screen. I'm sure there will be better designs coming out soon
Going nuts waiting for Samsung to finally ship this thing. Running with a naked phone and it's killing my fingers due to the careful way I need to hold it to avoid unintended edge touches.
Come on Samsung. This is torture.
Could you not use an external wireless battery. May wait for zerolemon or mopine

Yeah.... I thought about that and then made the wrong choice of thinking Samsung would be motivated to have this ready for launch. Now I'm stuck in the loop. I can order another one from ebay and it may take several days to arrive during which the other one may show up. hehe
Of course what would it matter at that price?
Bought a Steck to tide me over after calling Samsung and getting word that their battery case is delayed until 4/22 now. Really?
Wow 4/22?? I placed my order last week and they said it was shipping mid-March and then got an email yesterday saying it was on backorder. I considered cancelling but I got the 30% off deal on it so I'll wait. In the mean time I'm using the Spigen Tough Armor case which is working nicely.
Update: My battery case is arriving today so that backorder seems to be cleared. Can't wait!
Nice! Update us please! I've been on the fence for too long only if mophie has silver...
Wonder if it would fit on an S6 Edge...
Got a 'SAVFY' charging case for just £11.38 shipped off eBay. The battery of the S7 Edge seems excellent so far, but if, like me, you go on many football away days etc, you'll easily get through it in a day. Anyway, it looks as though SAVFY is just a knock-off Chinese brand, but I've used knock-off Chinese batteries before with good results (with one exception) and for less than £12 it seems a bargain. Here's an Amazon listing for the case: https://www.amazon.com/Charger-SAVFY-Portable-External-Rechargeable/dp/B01EN0JVAW
Mixed reception online it seems. One fella said the battery died after charging to just 30% (to me that sounds like a duff one), while others complained about the colours and tactility of the case. It claims to be 5200mAH but not sure how I'd really test that.
Quite a few of the negative comments are to do with the manufacturing materials, as such I would really advise anyone who does buy this case.....
BUY THE BLACK ONE. If you have a white phone, buy the black one, if you have a black phone, buy the black one, if you have a green with yellow spots phone, buy the black one. The reason why? The non-black colours are 'glossy', a bit like enamel or a hard plastic texture. One of the photos in the link above shows the Rose Gold one and you can see the hard plastic reflecting in the light. The plastic is also hard and feels brittle and will probably break if dropped.
The black one is different. It's still quite hard, but the outside material is like a rubbery texture. A bit like you get in some cars on the dash board. I doubt it'll be much better for absorbing impact, but I believe it will reduce the likelihood of bits of dust scratching the back and outer edges of your phone.
A few observations of my own:
- I personally am not all that impressed by the 'protective' level of this case. Large parts of the edge of the phone are completely exposed, so anything in your pocket could . I've done a few little (completely unscientific) tests using a table and the phone and I reckon if the phone hits the ground face down, you've got maybe 2-3mm of flex from the corners of the device, which is pretty much nothing. If it hits on the top you've got a reasonable 3-4mm and the bottom I'd say you're safe as it's protected by the thickest part of the case. If it hits the floor on an edge however, the amount of space between the phone and the floor becomes precariously low in my opinion. If you're lucky, it'll hit the phone on the back, bottom, or corners. Anything else could be curtains for this beautiful device.
- Not a negative, but it does add a fair bit of weight onto your phone (which tied into the point above...). It takes your phone from being a lightweight comfortable device to being, hmmmm, nearly the weight of a tablet I'd say. The case on its own weighs more than the entire phone. Fine in your pocket, but it does get a bit tedious holding it.
- No Micro-USB Cable was included. I know this sounds picky, but even the cheapest of cheap Chinese batteries i've bought in the past have come with a 5cm cheap cable to charge with. Come on?
Not had chance to actually try the case. It came charged up to the 4th light, so I will probably charge it up full and see if I can try it for a day. Don't really know how to test a 5200mAh battery, but my thinking is that it should be able to charge a S7 Edge from 0-100% then run it for a while too? Is that a terribly unscientific experiment? You betya.....
Tried it yesterday. Charged the phone from 27% up to 100% (while the phone was running too). It then charged it for about another 10-15% after (while running).
I call that a win.

So, I've used it a lot since then. I've been able to experiment with it a lot.
I think it's fair to say that it's better used keeping a fully charged phone, fully charged. Now, that might sound daft, but what I mean is, if you have your phone, run it down to 60%, then put it in the battery case, this seems to use more energy than simply leaving the phone in the battery case all day. I don't have any scientific explanation for this, rather I have empirical evidence.
The first few times I took it out, I did just as I describe above, allowing the phone to discharge to a moderate level, then re-charging it up. Suffice to say, in this scenario, the battery case will quickly run down to the 50% marker or even down to the 25% marker. This was fine, but obviously once the case is dead.... well, it's dead. Now you're onto your phone battery.
Instead, I tried it one day from 100%, so simply using the phone in a constant state of charge. Now, the case itself does occasionally switch off (perhaps it's wired to detect when the phone gets to 100%). I simply flick it back on. In this scenario, I was able to keep the phone at 100% all day (despite using it A LOT), and only use about 25% - 50% of the charge case. By 8pm, there was still plenty of charge left in the case and my phone was still at 100%.
As I said, I don't know the science behind this. I know that energy is often lost as heat, and it gets much warmer when charging from 50% than maintaining the phone at 100%. I know that charging via Micro-USB is also not 100% efficient. In fact, studies show that Micro USB is often inefficient.
With that in mind, I think I've given a pretty good example of how I use it. I think these are excellent cheapo battery cases, but don't use them to re-charge your phone to get maximum performance. Rather keep your phone in them all day, right from the minute you leave the house.
I am strictly against cheap battery cases. Heard a thousand stories about poor quality, no money back guarantee etc. I am a strict opponent of the "official" power cases also. The brand manufacturers spend zero time and effort on something worthy and innovative.
I would like to be proven wrong on my first opinion. Maybe I will buy some cheapo just to test it. I need more reviews and opinions on the SAVFY.
Meanwhile, the case market is hungry for innovations.
I admire brands like Nexpaq, I-blades and the uniVERSE Otterbox. If some of the brand manufacturers get the idea to make something similar there will be no time until cheap knock-offs appear on the market. I would definitely like to try some product of that kind

Thanks for replying. So my problem with the branded ones is they tend to be expensive..... and I mean really expensive!! Look at the Zero Lemon one. In the UK, that is currently £59 on Amazon. £59!!!??!!?! It's also $59 which in dollars, that might not sound too bad, but in UK money, that's seriously expensive for what is essentially nothing more than a big battery. I mean hell, you can buy a decent branded Universal battery pack with similar amounts of juice (or more), with several ports and some extra features for about £20. They're cashing in on the fact it's an S7 Edge specific accessory and the fact the people who own these phones either have big expensive contracts or earn decent money and therefore can afford to buy such a luxury product. Alternatively, you buy an original battery case from Samsung.... £54.99 and only 3100Mah. That's a joke. That's enough to recharge it once.....
I tried to look at the Otterbox but there was no price for the S7 Edge. I also looked at the nexpaq but there doesn't seem to be any details regarding the S7 Edge. While I think you're right to admire those two brands, and what they're doing is clearly innovative, something theoretical is useless to me. I came from an S4. I had two spares batteries in my wallet, which was ideal really because it meant I could switch any time I like and pretty much guarantee a whole weekend without my phone charger. You'd be surprised how often I used those spares. I reckon at least once or twice a week. I cannot do this with the S7 Edge. The Edge battery is good without a spare battery. Much better than the S4..... but like all phones, throw a few apps on, get some data connections running and boom, that battery soon disappears. I am a proper power user.
So, we look for answers and solutions that can give us something now. You can pay Zero Lemon £60 to sell you a posh, branded, ugly, massive case, which makes your phone into a brick.... or you look at the alternatives and you usually end up looking through eBay.
SAVFY are nothing special as far as I'm concerned. From what I gather they seem to be a company which buys cheap products and sticks their logo on. Many companies do that. In fact, some of the bigger brands do that as well. As with all labelled products, it's a gamble, you might get a good one, you might get a bad one. SAVFY were surprisingly good to me I found. So, I haven't mentioned that I decided to call them up over the fact my case appeared to discharge excessively if the phone was down to 50%, and they sent me another as a goodwill gesture for free. In fairness to them, they really didn't have to do that..... especially considering I've since found ways of making my original case last all day. It's quite possible this case is a 4000Mah battery or something similar, it's just losing charge through an inefficient charging procedure (micro-usb).
As for a guarantee, well, the thing was like £11. What kind of guarantee do you get for £11 man? You can't even buy a decent pair of shoes for £11 in England. Guarantees are something you get with £700 phones, or a £100 car stereo. To get a guarantee/warranty with something as cheap as that, very few places in England will give you one.... maybe ALDI but don't expect them to have a S7 Edge specific one, they only really deal with universal electronics.
To sum up, I made no really attempts to find a branded battery case. I looked through eBay, spotted SAVFY (a brand I confess to buying before) and decided that for £11 it was worth the gamble.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_o...+case.TRS0&_nkw=s7+edge+battery+case&_sacat=0
As you can see, eBay is awash with unbranded/generic branded battery cases. Some are labelled (wrongly) as 8000Mah... I would keep well away from those. Some are labelled 5200Mah. I believe they're the ones where the seller has been as honest as possible. It's completely impossible for any of these cases to be an 8000Mah, otherwise they'd be huge like the Zero Lemon. Science y'all.
Finally, I decided to have one crack at finding a branded case on eBay that wasn't a generic one, and wasn't super expensive. Nope. Literally not possible. The closest I found was this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roger-for...213594?hash=item3f73a63b1a:g:mFcAAOSwjDZYe-lS
An AUNSY (never heard of them) 5200Mah battery case for £36 delivered.
Hmm, where have I seen that case before
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Galaxy-Edg...&qid=1485533629&sr=8-1&keywords=SAVFY+s7+edge
Nah..... When someone gets their act together, they'll create a solid 5200Mah with a genuine dependable battery at an affordable cost with a small warranty and we'll all be very very happy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_v1OlFWxIls
Decent unboxing here, although he's gone for a shiny Gold one which I wouldn't recommended as it'll scratch your phone imo.
I just saw the misplaced link for I-blades. They are my most Samsung-friendly favorite brand. They have products for more and more Samsung models. Nexpaq and Otterbox stayed behind.
Previously I was referring to the innovations, not the price, though it is not so bad after all. I wish someday official Samsung product with the ideas from I-blades.

I'm actually pretty tempted to buy it. I've looked through many options for battery cases but I always see there's some kind of faults with them. Either they're not protective enough or just doesn't hold its charge.
This case on the other hand, has a benefit of analyzing the air around me. I'd like to know how is the air in my work environment working in a warehouse so I may know that I should wear some extra protective stuff. Despite the Smartblade adding an ugly bump, I hope the magnet attachment is actually strong enough to just slide off if I put it into some pants I have with slim pockets. And the other thing I hope is the battery being pretty large enough to actually extend battery life better than what I have now.

It's a 100 dollar case.... In England, with tax, it'll probably be the same. £100 for a fancy phone case?
It sounds like snake oil to me
I would happily spend midrange money but £100?
No thanks.... And I have a feeling people will be more keen to take a gamble on a cheap Chinese case than one which costs a days pay for most.

I've been meaning to call the company to see when they're shipping the case for my Galaxy S7 Edge since it's already March. I already ordered the whole thing since it's a cheaper option to go with instead of spending an extra $50 on the memory blade separately.
So I tried to disassemble my SAVFY battery case today. Didn't really want to come apart. There's a hefty lithium ion battery in there. Whether it's the described 5200Mah, who knows?
I've given mine an absolute battering this week. Using it every day without fail including in seriously hot temperatures and had no issues, so I think these SAVFY ones are pretty solid for the most part. Cheap energy when you need them. Mine is starting to show signs of wear and tear now, as I'm using it so much (the rubberized finish is coming off) but yeah, it's a fairly solid piece of kit i'd say.
any update on this, which one will you recommend? cause there are numerous battery covers, which one is fake, which one is good?
