Need help to downgrade from Nougat to Stock Rom

Hi all, i've been trying to fix this for 2 days and still failed to get it working.
I regret that i quickly jump into the nougat build and would like to get back to stock rom for now.
I tried downloading all the ROMs at stock rom thread and keep on encountering error when update reached 51% with software package/update failed error message.
I'm using P9-L19 and hopefully can revert back to C636 roms.

As someone new to this, this seems kinda complicated.
I'll give it a try. Just have to follow the instruction in the video?

Download the stock rom to external memory card in dload folder and use this code in phone dialer
*#*#2846579#*#*
And select update system

Flash update in dload don't work

Is your bootloader unlocked? Do you have a twrp backup?
I don't know if that's a good idea, but you could wipe system partition in twrp then flash stock recovery and try stock rom again? Going by the assumption that your current system is causing the update to fail.
Maybe nougat beta has a new recovery that won't flash old firmware? So maybe try an old recovery?
I'm just brainstorming though, no idea if any of this works. So try at your own risk.

Just ordered a microsd card for this. I'll let you know how once the sd card arrived.

Hello, my P9 is 100% origin.

I managed to use an OTG cable and put the firmware (update.app) on a flash drive under the dload folder. then powered the phone off and pressed both the volume keys + power and the flashing started

you need to download full stock rom the same version as you have before upgrade to N. then try to flash via project menu (*#*#2846579#*#*)
if this method doesn't work you may need to goto recovery menu and wipe data/factory reset. then you might lost all your theme and system apps.
but you will be back to to stable stock rom. if you need to use theme and need the stock system app again to have to Root your device. and install data/hw_init via SRKTool

Do you have the full stock rom link available? I tried to wipe data/factory reset and it still remains at 7.0.

After wipe data you need to dload stock rom again though

I tried to dload stock rom and it gives me some weird warning message and the update is stuck at 5% for 30++ mins.

First unlock your bootloader - then use Huawei Update extractor to extract ( I suggest the C636B168 Rom) from the Update.App the recovery.img - after flash from an adb folder the recovery.img through fastboot - use the three button to install the Rom and you're ready.
Warning.. everything in your internal storage will be erased so make a backup first.

This method should work. :good::good:

i installed the huawei p 9 nougat version and i wanted to downgrade but nothing seems to work. I have got unlocked bootloader and when i had emui 4.1 my phone was rooted and i had twrp. But now i can´t boot into twrp. How can i downgrade ?

Since you have TWRP I guess you somehow deleted all the files ....
If you have a backup file (created with TWRP) you should be able to return to a previous state.
I had a problem intalling official builds, after installing a custom ROM.
You could try to install a custom ROM, like sokkoban's (very similar to the official one).

stock rom
Download the stock rom .
Copy it to sd card.
boot the device by pressing vol up ,down and power button
this will flash the stock rom
or
Re flash twrp 3.0.2
goto xda and download the rom made by hacky
and flash the zip thru twrp
i had same situation and i did this hope this will fix ?

this is the link for sokkonban's ROM. This is for ALE L21 (Dual sim if I am not mistaken). He has made some other custom ROMS for other models. You can check them out if you want, but I suggest you use chrome with translate extension.

If I am not mistaken you can enter fastboot mode even without operating system. As for the 4th requirement, I think it's not essential since you can flash the zip file through twrp.

If you want to install a custom rom you can install it through twrp. If you want to install the official build (which is very messy with emui and I do not suggest that unless you get to the service center - or anyone else can provide a working guide) you must install a custom recovery.
In my opinion, you should install a custom rom (for instance Sokkoban's) in order to have an operational phone and then find a way to install the official build.

yes, i could boot in, but in Minimal ADB and Fastboot using pc it gives error "device closed"

when i've never succeed flashing with TWRP, i converted into CWM
it stops to flash any thing more .. ZIP or IMG files with error message "couldn't un mount sdcard" !

It's weird. Try to install TWRP 3.02 again.
Then try sokkoban's ROM (the one with SU preinstalled). As long as you have the european model (C432) it should work. You should be patient, it might need more than one tries.
An other option is to try setting it up from the beginning:
go to this thead and head over to chapter 5 and install the EU dual sim files.

Also do not forget, when in fastboot mode, you use the fastboot command, not adb.

Unroot, device bricked

Hi, I have problem.
i unlocked and rooted my honor 5C NEM L-21, but then i changed my mind and wanted to unroot it, when i done it the device bricked. after some investigation a unbricked it via adb, but now i cant go to recovery where i have backed up my old rom. I cant even go to developers options. So now im stuck with partly functional ROM and i cant even done Factory reset. I tried to download and install ROM via Firmware Finder, but always when i try to install the rom, it writes that it is not verified.
Can anyone please help me? Im really worried. Thanks

Download stock firmware and flash it via dload method.

i dont know exactly how to do it. Do i just create dload folder on sd card, put the rom in it, then turn off the device, pres volume + and - and power button? or do i have to do even something else?
And where can i download Stock ROM? I downloaded some but i dont know if it is legit, official ROM

Only firmware which will flash via dload..should be same number or higher number...
For example if you were on b340 you can only flash b340 or higher number like b341 or 350
You cannot flash 330 without rollback pkg

Hi, i have another, similar problem... I tried to flash the Elite ROM v5.1 but i didnt succeed so i decided to restore my old rom from backup with TWRP. When i restored it it just didnt load. It was stuck on honor logo for a long time. I tried the dload method many times but nothing worked so far. I even tried unbrick it with HUAWEI Multi-tool but it also didnt worked.
Now i cant acces anything, just fastboot. Please can you help me somehow?

No it didn't worked for me. It happened to me twice and either time it didn't work. It was always stuck on honor logo and couldn't be turned on.

Honor 5C can't flash nougat

Hi guys.
I'm having problem with flashing nougat on my NEM-L21C432B132. I'm on 6.0 at the moment and I used both dload folder on sdcard method and Firmware Finder. Tried different versions and I keep getting warning saying "incompatibility with current version". How do I solve this ?
I have no root, stock recovery, unlocked bootloader. I thought it could be because of unlocked BL, but I cannot seem to lock it as "fastboot oem lock" doesn't work for me.

Can I just install TWRP and flash the .zips I get from extracting the update.app file ?

The one called exactly : NEM-L21C432B352 FullOTA-MF . I believe that's the right one ? If not, which one is ?

Its not in update.app format right??
You can download full firmware from honor official site according to your model and build number..and then try to flash..

It is in .zip format but I extract it and put the update.app into dload folder. I will try to download from honor official site and let you guys now if there's any progress.
EDIT: just had a look on the website. There's no firmware for Honor 5C there. Can anyone point me how can I make nougat work and where do I download the right files ?

You dont need to relock boot loader for ota..or upgrade..
All you have to be on stock recovery

Hello,
I have extracted the update.app from the 6.0 version, flashed boot.img and recovery.img through fastboot, and my phone found the update even without using the Firmware Finder..strange but I have downloaded it and flashed without problems. My bootloader didn't even lock after flashing which happens from what I've read. Anyway I'm on the newest firmware ATM and also it's rooted. Maybe someone can explain that in case anyone had a similar problem in the future ?

What was the size of OTA? If it was 300-400 MB then it would not harm for bootloader or recovery

OTA normally doesn't lock bootloader. Have seen this in my 5X.

Procedure is
Flash rollbackpkg
Then flash lollipop firmware..

No, I could not get a rollback.
When I load the rollback file, I will dload the folder and use the three button method to go to twrp :|

In order to use dload method you should be on stock recovery.

Currently you have TWRP installed which is not stock recovery so dload method doesnt work.
Inorder to dload method work you need to have stock recovery.
Follow the procedure.
1. Take a nandroid back of the current system,boot, and other partitions, make sure the backup is not corrupt.
2.Now wipe all partitions through TWRP.
3.Now extract stock recovery.img from update.app of the version you like to downgrade using update extractor tool.
4.Now flash the the stock recovery.img using adb.
5.Now place the update.app in root dload folder of SD card and use there buttons to boot the system.
6.Wait the process to complete and you will have downgraded version.
Note the above method will work but proceed with caution.

Hi, I did not get the first option right
What is the second option wipe cashe-wipe reset factory,.. ?
If i did it
Option III extracted recovery.img file
I flashed through the adb and then placed the update.app file in the dload folder on the memory card and using the three button method, I did not accidentally happen, and the phone will remain in the logos.
2 questions asking:
1. Which version of twrp should I install?
2. Is the Android 6 CASTOMRAM available for my device
