SlimRoms presents: Slim7 Nougat
SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. Our main goal is to offer users a slimmed down yet feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by our public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
Slim7 is the project name for SlimRoms based on Android 7.X.X Nougat.
Although some of these may not be present yet in the ROM, Slim typically offers the following original features:

Coming from another ROM, OR if a CLEAN FLASH is required
1) Download the Slim7 zip file (See Post #2)
2) Download a 7.0 GApps package
3) Boot into recovery (TWRP)
4) Full wipe (Dalvik Cache, Cache, System, Factory Data Reset)
5) Flash the Slim7 zip file
6) Flash Nougat-compatible GApps
7) Reboot

Thanks for development. will it work on helium ?

Quick Review:
Rom is smooth. No lags whatsoever
Wifi, Data, Bluetooth works
Camera works with stock camera app
Video recording works with Google camera app. Set Video settings to 4K. Quality is bit poor though. Surely it will improve over the time.
No Volte
Rest almost everything working

Nice runs smooth but I can't change the brightness at all it's fixed no matter what I do.
edit: tried a reflash but nope still can't change the brightness it's fixed on max brightness.

Just check it... You already know where to look...
But TheStrix is listed as conttributor so helium is not supported I guess...

Oh I see you mean the frequency issues on the big cores ? That issue is much deeper in the source code if so and I'd wait for Strix to provide a fix as I have no PC currently

What about slim6? helium really needs a stable and functional source built rom ;p Thank you for your work!
From the experience I tried the source built rom, I think @ffboy2009's cm13 is comparatively more stable for helium, could you please build a slim6 rom? ;p

This rom is great but i notice few bugs,
1) there is no thumbnail shows for the video in gallery.
2) when forward the video when its playing the video will stop and the forwarding is very slow.
3) there is no option to clear recent opened apps.
hope u can fix it in next update.

Yes, but some might have less bugs, like RR vs crDroid and AOKP, as RR has been updated to the lastest.

After playing music the whole mic crashes until reboot
Also stock music keeps crashing but install custom music app and is ok
reboot drains 5 percent battery
Auto rotation works fine.
Going to use it as multi boot rom, sooooo fast. Thank you.

It will be merged most probably by deadman with latest security patch until then its just the same. You will find all ROMs sharing same security patch. Unless ROM team at backend do that

Few bugs i noticed after one day use.
+Whatsapp camera sometimes dosent respond.
+Few wallet applications like paytm always force closes while sending money(maybe thats because they access camera at that time. )
+volume rocker button dosent respond sometimes when the headphone isnt connected.

Hey guys! This time I've compiled FireHound OS for Mi Max 2 Oxygen this time . Thanks to ashwin007 and Jay_B for their support ... This ROM is compiled on CAF kernel by ashwin007.

Physical navigation keys
Fingerprint
IR Blaster

Reboot Menu
Audio Jack
Slow-mo camera
Not Working/Not been tested:
Ear piece audio explosion during calls
Audio routing through BT
HW key control from HW Button settings (Use Navigation settings)
Signature Spoof issue
Fignerprint gesture (Can use an app from Play Store as workaround)

Primary Requirements
Should have been using the latest MIUI ROM or equivalent AOSP/Lineage based ROM.
Should have bootloader unlocked.
Latest TWRP should be installed.
Data backup should be performed (just in case).
Install Instructions: (From Other ROMs)
Wipe Data/Cache. - Mandatory
Install the update package.
Install GApps (Nano or above is recommended). - Optional
Install latest version of Magisk (If systemless root is required). - Optional
Reboot device.

so is this AOKP or LOS based? or both? i see you mentioning both at some point in the OP... just curious, havent heard of this rom before

Ah thanks a lot... My problem just using bluetooth as daily driver arrrgh.. The rom just awewsome...

Sure mate... AOKP was added by mistake...
This one is based on Lineage. Though I've included some patches from AOKP...
The CAF kernel is from Ashwin's kernel tree...
About xuefer, he's still offline, but he initiated it all, so mentioned him as well

Bro add a tweak like fingerprint lock after reboot without entering pin every time.... This feature were added on jay_b roms!!

That feature is provided by ROM itself.
try to find that setting in extra settings of the ROM.

I can't assure you if I can add that feature bro, but it's present AOKP too. So I'll check it out...
