MIUI ROM has been successfully installed on my phone yesterday.
The rom look and feel great, but just one problem really bother me.
To this day, when I used the camera in the Stoke rom, the pictures was really really high-quality.
And whan I take pictures with this rom the pictures is awful!
Its a rom problem , or a camera problem?

no1? really?
I have now spent almost 15 hours total trying to "fix" my phone because LG is to incompetent to bring out a working phone. I bought the phone because of the front cam and I liked the design. Turns out, the front cam didn't work with many apps in android 2.2 then when we finally got Android 2.3 the soft keys didn't work.
Now after having spent about 3-4 hours every day for the last few days trying to "fix" this phone because LG won't, I am starting to get fed up with it. I am not a phone nerd and shouldn't have to "make my phone work" myself. I tried installing the cyanogenmod rom and it was horrible and crashed constantly. Now I just tried installing the zeus mod, and the soft buttons do not glow on it either. Does anyone know any software that will make my front cam work and my soft buttons? I don't care what version of Android i have as long as my phone works as it should.
Well basicly Zeus ROM is official GB from LG, thats why they are not light either. If you want em to be alive again, try a Froyo Rom, like Nova, or a stock one. For the camera, i dont know what to do, what s wrong with it?
I guess 2.2 doesn't support the front cam. It doesn't work in Skype or in Pocketbooth. Two of my favorite apps. I think it only works in the regular camera app on the phone.
But if it is freaking you out soo much, then give NOVA a shot, it is really a very good ROM, btw are you german?
Did you already test CM7? If not, I can only suggest you to, although it has some bugs ...
The front camera IS working in v2.3.4 (v20N German) and it was also working in 2.2.2 (v10C German). I have used Skype video calling with both versions.
PS: I will try today to see if it is working in Zeus V3 (v20N International).

Hi guys. Recently I've noticed a bad camera problem with my IncS. You see when I open the camera app ( on MIUI's ROM ) it lags pretty badly. When I point the camera at one direction, and move to another, it lags. But if I repeatedly click my menu softkey button while moving my camera around, it doesnt lag at all. Does anyone know a fix to this? Thanks in advance!
oh and I restored back to the original ROM I had running which was the official htc's latest rom for the IncS and the camera works fine. no lag issues. Seems like when I flash AOSP roms, the camera lags. help?
I find any AOSP rom has laggy camera in low light
When I take it to better lighting conditions the lag goes away
You're not alone mate
I think it has something to do with trying to take in as much light as possible when there is not enough
@markj338 yeah I actually thought that that might be a possible reason to its horrible lag, so I took it outside this afternoon at around 12pm. It was bright but still the lag was there. And just to be clear, its no ordinary lag. It's like if i point at one place, it shows that place, but when I move my camera away, it waits for around 10 seconds before it shows that place. If you get what I'm trying to say here.. Sorry for the horrible english. But yeah.. that's the problem :/ thanks anyway appreciate it.
Oh mine only lags a bit
When I move, the image will be slow and distorted and will take its time to focus
But not 10 secs, mine is like less than 1, its just choppy and distorted
I'm on CM 7.2
Mine could probably be classified as 'ordinary lag'
Like if you were using a crappy low range phone
What rom are you using, and does this happen in all lighting conditions?
@markj338 well right now im back on my sense rom. the official one. I restored. But I tried miui's rom, cm7.2 and the camera's the same. When I click the menu button repeatedly, then it's ok. but if i dont click anything, it lags a lot....... so yea
Strange.
But I do find the sense camera to be the best
It is a strange thing. Whenever I just want to take a unimportant picture the camera works flawlessly. But somehow the z1's camera knows when I really need a picture fast. And then the camera is stuck or it says it's unavailable. It is really annoying - mostly happens when going out. I'm on latest rockz1 rom. But I feel like I had this problem since day 1 (1, 5years) do some of you feel the same??
i have rockz1
i never experience this problem in rockz1
did you have a clean flash?
MI A2 Android One updates are near the end, and recently they don´t really fix nothing, only put more bugs.
Since upgraded to Android 10 i lost Stock camera, and have a really heavy battery drain. I read that sometimes doble factory reset can fix that problems, but i will loose GCam, and with The Dice mod i really have no problems with photos.
With Factory reset i loose Gcam, and the guide i use when i enable camera2api in android 9, i think don´t work. I like my MI a2 because have good photos and don´t want to loose that, so i thinking to move to a custom Rom, and i has hoping some of you guys that tried manny ROM´s give me a hand with that and recommend the best Rom with this features:
1- Fair battery drain.
2-Use of Gcam ( camera2api enable) and Stock camera working ( i see that there are a mod version of stock cam that work in costum Rom´s).
3- Good Wi-fi transfer rate

Go for Pixel Experience plus Fan Edition. It is best rom i hv used.
The question of the best rom often comes up. There is no "best" rom, it depends on the user but also on the updates. Pixel for example is bad for me in drums, but very good for others. Derpfest had a rotten update and the last one is excellent, I'm using it right now by the way. The best advice is to try several roms and choose the one that suits you best. After if tomorrow there is an update you may have to change.
