I've been using Global Stable 8.2.1.0 with Google Now Launcher and it's working great until maybe yesterday(?), I don't know. There was an update to either the Google Search app or the Google Now Launcher.
If I try to open the app drawer, all of the apps are gone. The apps are there, I can open them if there is an icon on the home screens or through play store. But the app drawer is blank.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I had a great emmc root but screwed up this morning by pushing the Home option and having it as the default. Now I can't figure out how to get back to the Zeam Launcher. Help.
Fixed it by finding another launcher and installing it.
The same thing happened to me. I keep a launcher apk in my dropbox so I can access it from the web interface if it happens to me again.
I use Nova launcher, and I can just access that through the app drawer (push vol+ and tap apps on B&N apps page). Then I can make it the home launcher again. I think Zeem is in the app drawing too, no?
Another way to go is to search for the Google Play app in the browser. Then click the Google Play link and have it open Google Play by default. Then you can either find another launcher (like ADW) or go into your apps there and open a launcher.
So basically my Xperia Z is running MIUI Andriod 4.4.2 kitkat, and its amazing , i like the stock launcher since its damn smooth and no lag, except that it has no App drawer and is more like iPhone, have been wondering whether there is any Modded stock launcher of MIUI or another Launcher with MIUI widget and theme support and yes APP DRAWER!! -_- its frustrating to know there isnt app drawer in the stock MIUI laucnher , Need help buddies
miui doesn't have the app drawer, that's part of how it works, it is essentially an ios clone, if you want an app drawer change the launcher to something else

Click to collapse
Actually i am aware of the fact its an IOS clone just that most of the launchers consumes a lot of memory and i find the MIUI launcher smooth and less memory consuming thats why recommend me a launcher that consumes less memory and provides feautures too
all arrrisea
Unfortunately no app drawer, if you download it you can get nova launcher but will return the stock Android interface.
A quick Google finds this app - App Drawer.
It's recommended in the English MIUI forums here.
Installed FaceBook Messenger Lite apk from apkmirror on LineageOS 14.1 (based on Android 7.1.1) on Xiaomi MI5 Pro device (rooted).
Tried Messenger Lite apk version 4.1.x and 5.0.x.
Installs fine, runs fine upon upon initial install if select "Open" at end of apk install.
However there is no icon on the launcher screens, no icon in app drawer, and no widgets available. So no way to re-launch the app once you close it after initial install.
The only place the app appears in under Settings - Apps.
Uninstall works fine.
Anyone else have this issue?
My friend try quickshortcutmaker apk. Search google to find it. Open the app and search the messenger lite app in it and afterwards choose to make a shortcut. I have used this app in lg phones where I have had same problem with some apps...
Have you tried checking the launcher's widgets/shortcuts option?
@flxas - thank you! Quickshortcutmaker appears to have done the trick!
@Yehhhhhh - thanks for you help too, but every other apk I have ever installed has added an icon to my launcher, so I don't think that the issue is caused by trebuchet launcher settings.
Turns out the Messenger Lite app was in my app tray after all. I found it under "L" for "Lite" in the app drawer, but under "Messenger Lite" in Settings - Apps..
If you install the Facebook Lite apk, it ends up under "L" for "Lite" in the app drawer and also under Settings - Apps.
Hey guys
I have disabled and deleted Google app through ADB shell but i still get this white outline of the Google app when i swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer. Happens on both the nova launcher and the Huawei launcher, so i don't think that it's a launcher problem. Can someone help me get rid of it somehow.
Thanks
I'm not a fan of having huge app icons so I've made Nova my default launcher. very occasionally, maybe 5 or 6 times in the 5 days of having this phone hitting the back key to leave an app or settings has taken me to a homescreen that wasn't mine.
it features apps that I've definitely installed and looks to be the example of how my wallpaper will look in settings / wallpaper.
it's no biggie but it is weird, wondering if anyone else had this ?

ota updated to 11... not rooted yet
Yes I have the same issue. Than when i go to Nova settings the radio buttons on default launcher are both cleared (Nova & One UI). Seems like a bug. I am using as well Nova Google Discovery Companion. It's crashing from time to time and than I lose Google Discovery feed. The only workaround i find to work i to reinstall companion app.
there's also this weird bug where an icon in the draw at the top vanishes but it's space is there and you can click and open it.
still had to delete and reinstall it to bring the icon back.
Anyone else having problems with "Home" setting?
My FE tends to randomly forget my choice of launcher. I have Rootless Pixel and Nova Launcher Beta installed, and from time to time I find myself back at the OneUI interface instead. When I go to Settings>Apps>Default Apps, I find Home app set...

EDIT:yeah this seems fixed by toggling between launchers, I've not had this for a few days.
