[Q] Contact Groups

Is there a way to be able to make a group of contacts and be able to send to everyone group a text message? I know blackberry's can do this and I don't see why Android wouldn't

A quick search on the Android Market for "Group Text" reveals 78 results.

[Q] chat sms blah

Okay I looked high and low for an answer and It may be what I am looking up but heres the scenario.
I have two girls that wanna "chat" at the same time now I know you can send bulk messages natively but I was wondering if there is a way to either combine or something of that nature the sms that come in from them.

Shouldn't you be asking GoSMS about that since that's the app you're using? Honestly I have no clue if what you want is possible

KIK messenger has a group chat feature, but I think you all have to have it installed to use it. Or Gchat has a group chat feature as well.

Yeah if you want to do group messaging, its gonna have to be some kind of IM app. KIK is amazing FWIW.

The only reason i put the SMS app im using is for reference as far and the other people have oldder phones like a razr I think.. So I need a app that could not only send but recve sms and group them based on the person

Group sms

How do I get group sms working? They all come through as separate messages from others and I don't see an option in text messages to enable it

The stock messaging app doesn't support it, I'm using Textra.

dead easy/elegant do in Textra.

I've been using the new Google Messenger. It's pretty good.

In order to make sure group SMS is delivered to the group conversation for your recipients, make sure to select Use MMS for Group Messaging in your SMS client. In Textra, this option is unchecked by default.

Group text messages?

Anyone know how to enable them or an app to use? I'm using the stock messaging app and I can't see/send group texts. All of the texts from the group text are being sent as individual texts instead of a group text. any help would be great, thanks!

That's how mine is too. Probably just have to use an alternate messanger if you want it, like Android messages, Hangouts, or whatsapp.
Maybe they should add some features to the stock messanger app, it's very basic.

Use Signal. It is a great texting app that also allows for end-to-end encryption for anyone else that uses the app.

Group texting issues

Anyone having issues with group texts? Mine all keep coming on separate I don't see any settings for group MMS in the message settings.

Are you using the default messageing app?
Might work if you use google message?

I'm only able to use the default messenger I can't switch default apps.

Anyone find a solution to this? I'm on RealmeUI, CN version and changing default messaging app lasts a few minutes before the pop-up notification that messaging is reverting to the default app.
