This is just a simple zip to bring the Pixel Launcher to the O-Preview. This is not a full Pixel Mod. This is the Pixel Launcher from the Pixel XL O-Preview. This also includes the audio from the Pixel and uses Luthepa1’s Black Edition Pixel Boot Animation.
Generally you need root for this to work. But root for the O-Preview, while possible, is still a WIP. You can use Gladiac's FED-Patcher if you want to use without root, found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/fix-fed-patcher-v8-forceencrypt-disable-t3234422.
To revert back to stock just flash the system.img in TWRP. If you want the stock boot.img you can flash that in TWRP too.
As always, make a backup before flashing anything and doing this stuff voids your warranty and what not
UPDATE: So personally I've experienced a weird issue recently. Suddenly I'll find that my swipe left for Google Now doesn't work. Being that the Pixel Launcher is from the O-Preview, it's possible that it's a normal bug. Or it can be an issue with the flash. Not sure yet. But if you experience this, reflashing fixes it right away. No need to reflash the FED-Patcher
Thanks
Sweet , thanks
Works very nice on latest los too :good:
Like the boot sound

I haven't tried it on that, but possibly. This was pulled from the O-Preview and I use it on the O-Preview. Theoretically this should work on previous versions. But as it is only the Pixel Launcher, it'd probably be better to use a full Pixel Mod for 7.1.1 or 7.1.2

It's working perfect on latest lineage os, so it will be good for pn too, I guess.
I thought this was a potential bug at first, but I just read an article that some users are experiencing a new Pixel Launcher lay out that brings back the search bar and removes the weather. I received this a few days ago and thought it was a bug. I reflashed the Pixel Launcher and it returned to normal. Now I know it wasn't a bug. But I wanted to point out that it's possible for us to receive this new layout using this mod. I'm not sure if this applies for anybody not on the O-Preview though
Thanks! Working great with root (SuperSU-v2.79-SR4) on Android O DP1. However, I don't know if anyone else has the bug where the navbar is black in the google now section of the launcher? I've had this 'bug' for awhile on Nougat, but I've just kinda accepted it.

For all of you who likes clean ROM and hate duplication between system and user apps folders this tool will help. This will remove all defaults AOSP apps except launcher and keyboard. I suggest after removing to install pico version of gapps or all of this will not make much sense. Also boot animation will be gone, trim it to the bone
For everything else you may need use Play Store. This way upgrading existing apps will not make any duplicates.
Please don't hesitate to post if you like to see some more apps to be included in this remover.

I've noticed this too on my Nexus 6 regardless of ROM- Google Camera does not show up in the PlayStore. Like others have mentioned if you sideload the apk from somewhere like apkmirror it will work. Alternatively you can try clicking on this direct link from your Nexus 6 and it should hopefully take you to the play store with google camera displayed- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera

I ran this while doing a clean install of Pure Nexus. Zips flashed in TWRP in this order: 1) Pure Nexus, 2) Full GAPPS (linked from Pure Nexus), 3) B14CKB1RD kernel, 4) phh's superuser, 4) 320 dpi, 5) AOSP apps remover. Google camera was available on first boot. ?
Two possible AOSP app oversights: AOSP keyboard (risky, I get it), and AOSP spell check (part of keyboard app?).
No problems experienced after booting into ROM and getting everything setup to taste. This is now a go-to/must have flash for me. Thanks!

Yeah, on 7.1.1 right now. The Pure Nexus FAQ clued me into these flashables. Adjusting the display size may confuse the DPI change, but a reflash of the DPI zip fixed it for me in 7.0 (and I haven't messed with it in 7.1.1).

any chances to do a flashable zip that could work in all devices?
This is just a simple zip to bring the Pixel Launcher and Pixel audio to the O-Developer Preview 3. This is not a full Pixel Mod. This is the Pixel Launcher and audio from the Pixel XL O-DP3.
Also, I have a version that includes the clock from O-DP3. The icon and app have been redesigned a little and I personally really like it. So I have another version of this mod that will also bring the clock so we can have it on Nougat too.
This version has the new notification feature (O-DP3, not for Nougat) and it is working. Make sure to grant Pixel Launcher notification access.
Root or FED-Patcher is needed to make this mod work. Root is available for DP3 (Thanks for the feedback guys). If you don't want root you can use Gladiac's FED-Patcher to make this mod work. found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/fix-fed-patcher-v8-forceencrypt-disable-t3234422.
To revert back to stock just flash the system.img in TWRP. If you want the stock boot.img you can flash that in TWRP too.

In android Pie the Pixel launcher is quite deeply integrated with the "muktitasking" (you know, when you swipe up to see recent apps, I don't know how to call it) I think, so the only way you have to use it is to install a simplified version, without the recent apps function (there was a post on the XDA frontpage some time ago).
If you really want the Pixel feeling, I suggest you to try the Official PixelExperiemce ROM for our device, it's awesome.

The process is simple.....But there are a few requirements that you need to do before hand.
1. Unlock your Bootloader
2. Patch your Boot.img using Magisk
3. Install Twrp. If compatible with your device. In my case I used "Geiti94" Twrp he provided (TWRP_A30_A305F_V3_ASH1.tar) this worked for me even though I've got a A305GN and was flashed using Odin.
4. Download GSI rom of your choice just make sure you download the right version for your phone otherwise you'll face endless bootloops. *****You can use "Treble Info.apk" ***** to find out what your phone system supports as there are 4 types
5. Boot into Twrp, Tap on Wipe then Advanced Wipe then select "Dalvik/Art Cache" System" Data" leave everything else as it is. Then swipe to Wipe.
6. Then go back to Twrps main screen and tap on Install and navigate to where you put the GSI file by Selecting Storage then Install Image this will show only GSI image files. Then select your GSI file then select which Partition to flash to.....Which is SYSTEM.... DONE.

My system is a Arm64 compatible with a SystemAB GSI

I haven't experienced any sort of errors/bugs yet. Everything I use on a daily basis works, but if there are any errors/bugs they have yet to show themselves.
You have to understand that there are going to be errors/bugs in any custom firmware you flash to your phone, that's just the way it is nothing's 100% besides Stock.

Yes, it is already rooted. I did it with the last one published in AOSP, published 4 days ago I think, download the version with gapps, you ride it with TWRP (it's in img) and that's it

I have found that not all the Android 10 gsi I've used have this feature, Pixel Experience Q 28102019 being one of them.
so I've flashed this zip via TWRP to regain this ability. I know it doesn't work on all of them but its worth a try for those of you out there willing to give it a go.
I have successfully flashed the aosp 10 gsi (latest one) seems to be working really good.
The transitions seems to be little bit lagging with the stock launcher, and using other launcher totally removes the way task changer works. Which launcher are you guys using?
Can you make us tuturial please:fingers-crossed:

Still thinking about it. Not sure if the current dp features are worth losing root and such for. Once the UI changes and the new widgets and such appear, it's on.
I was thinking about it too... But I think that it is dp1 and not stable for daily use... have to wait my friend XD

I'm pretty much going to be waiting a day or two to see what the reports are on how stable it is. DP1 don't always have the best track record.
Other than that I'm not rooted, so I should be fine as far as that goes.

You don't necessarily have to do a full wipe, but still I'm going from Android 11 to 12, thought it can't hurt. I can post my patched boot image, but it's always better if you just patch it yourself with magisk manager
