s6 edge AT&T upgrade Odin - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Is there any trouble if I upgrade my s6 edge AT&T android 5.1.1 build OJ7 to android 6.0.1 marshmallow via Odin?
(I can't receive the upgrade because I'm in Mexico)

[Q] Have LATAM i9000T JG1 FW - Possible to flash froyo?

Hi,
I bought a i9000T, branded and crap. It has this firmware, CSC, etc:
PDA: I9000TUMJG1 [R5]
Phone: I9000TUMJG1
CSC: I9000TTCEJG1
I'm wondering if I am able to flash to froyo with any of the ROMs available here. I'm specially worried about the CSC, and not being able to get 3G back.
And if I need to go back to -as close to- factory firmware, will the clockworkmod backup do? If not what do I need to do to get a full backup of what it's loaded already? (if at all possible)
Thanks
uh..anyone? =) I already downloaded everything but I don't want to brick my phone. Read through the guides but I don't feel like I have the answer to my specific question yet. (except some rather complicated way to keep/change the CSC)
Thanks aggain

Canada FW does not work...
OK I Live in Ecuador and HAve a I9000T too.... I hve froyo and this is what I did........
1) Follow Docs froyo V8 JPA/JPO Exactly as he says!!!! You wont loose 850 band!! Becarefull With lagfix and always apply K9 kernel as it says in Docs Post... Dont use odin..... And to make backups of you firmware make a "DD" in the adb shell of all your partitions... specially the modem and kernel and with the CWM take a full backup.... thats all youll have to research in XDA for detailed instructions of everything
This sounds promising. The reason I haven't tried it is that an original firmware hasn't been leaked yet, so if something goes wrong I don't have anything to fall back to. I *might* try it!
Edit: Is this the one you're talking about?

[Q] Themes on a stock rom

Hey guys, I just purchased this phone from Claro in Costa Rica. It says my Build Number is GINGERBREAD.VJKPH and I am running on 2.3.5 stock ROM.
I want to know which themes I can flash, without flashing a custom rom, since I dont really get the KPH, KPO, etc differences.
Thanks!
Usually themes are made for a specific baseband (KPO, KPH, KPN, KS3 are those basebands).
To effectively apply the theme, you would first need to match the baseband version. To do that, you would need to flash the firmware via ODIN (the tutorial should be a sticky thread on the General or Development section).
But you could try to flash the themes on your current baseband; I tried to flash a KPN theme on a KPH-based Ace and worked.
But he really careful whilst doing that, and do a nandroid backup before flashing anything, be it themes, basebands, tweaks, hacks, etc.

Thanks for the reply!
Another question:
I am not sure if I can flash other firmwares via ODIN, since my Ace is GT-S5830B and the it uses HSDPA 850/2100 instead of 900/2100 and I dont know if that will brick my device...
My baseband version is S5830BVJKP9

I just saw a post about the S5830B type, but didn't read it. I'm not sure if it was on XDA. Try Googling?
I ended up using the UOT kitchen, and made my own "theme" lol
Thanks anyways!
You are mostly probably still odexed. bear that in mind when you flash your theme file(s).

Buena nota mae!

[Q] Root on N7000UBKL2

Hi,
I recently got an Galaxy Note, Brazilian one, Carrier VIVO.
i past the last week searching an way to root it, all the methods i've found didn't work.
On Dr. Ketan thread i cant find an option for the KL2 kernel.
Here is my device data:
Model: GT-N7000
Android Version: 2.3.6
Baseband: N7000UBKL2
Kernel: [email protected]30 #2
Compilation Number: GINGERBREAD.UBKL2
Check Fus Output:
Device: GT-N7000
Product Code: GT-N7000ZBlZVV
PDA: N7000UBKL2
Phone: N7000UBKL2
CSC: N7000ZVVKL2
Someone have a tip to help me do this?
If it is like all the other updates that Samsung has done, you can't directly root it.
You'll have to follow his thread, downgrade the rom, root it, using ODIN, then update it with a prerooted rom.
Please read Dr.Ketan's thread here. It's all in there.
If your device is not carrier restricted, downgrade to older ROM, then root n then update to your present ROM, using CWM/Mobile Odin

Does it matter?
Hi "alxbd"!
I am from Brazil too. As "jellevanb" sugested, follow the Dr Ketan post. But pay attention: your actual firmware is not available yet on our big STOCK ROM list.
Could someone understand why this ROM (N7000UBKL2) is not available on our list yet?
Dr Ketan could help us?
I can make an dump, if someone can explain how.

Hi,
DONE.
Thank you very much.
Used the indian rom wich Ketan indicated, worked like a charm.
Opa!
ENG:
Just bought GNOTE in Brazil, but in different carrier (TIM). I wanna know if Dr Ketan´s method avoids the yellow triangle sign after root.
Thx all

Hi folks,
I'm in a pinch here. Initially I was in the same scenario as alxbd, but before discovering this useful post I tried to root my Galaxy Note (Brazilian, TIM, N7000UBKL2) using Odin and AbyssNotekernel42CWTouchOriginalLogo.tar as described here: rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-method-2odinheimdall/. Everything apparently went fine and I did got root access, however when booting into ClockworkMod recovery it keeps blinking and I'm not able to choose any option, also my phone become a bit unstable and I got the infamous yellow triangle too. I uninstalled the CWM using Titanium Backup and replaced it for the ROM Manager available at Play Store but it was unable to backup my original ROM, the first step I would like to take before trying to flash any new ROM.
So, how can I fix this mess?? Can I safely go back to the original state flashing my ROM for this one I found here: hotfile.com/dl/148389052/d9941e2/N7000UBKL2_N7000ZVVKL2_ZVV.zip.html (apparently it's the same as mine) or should I downgrade my ROM first and then flash it for a pre rooted rom? Please help.
Thank you
Hi,
I'm not an expert, but i think you can flash the original ROM with odin or mobile odin without any troubles, but, again, i'm not an expert and never been in the same situation, i had my own "OMFG this **** is bricked" times before, and ODIN saved me...
Regarding the yellow triangle, follow the sticky tread about removing it, this is a JIG http://dx.com/p/unbrick-download-30...959-i9000-i897-m110s-i8700-i9100-93514?item=2 i bought mine in this site.
Hope this help.
Hi alxbd,
I'm relieved, everything is ok now. Initially I gave a shot using odin to flash the rom N7000UBKL2_N7000ZVVKL2_ZVV (Brazilian VIVO). I lost root and CWM but the phone was ok and the yellow triangle was gone (the flash counter remained displaying "1" but I can live with that). Then I received help from Dr.Ketan and followed his invaluable "Dr.Ketan's Guide to Root + ROM update" that I failed to see earlier. Now my GN is rooted and running ICS 4.0.3 (Germany) and I have no fear to flash it again if necessary. =D

Flashing firmware from another region

Hello everybody, I'm new to the flashing world and this is my situation.
I've got a Note9 from Telcel (I live in Mexico) and it has the following software information:
Android 8.1.0 / PDA: N9600ZHS1ASA7 / CSC: N9600OWA1ARK1
I read in the Samsung Members app that the Pie update is scheduled to arrive in my country between March and April, and I would really like to test this new Android version.
Can I flash the following firmware released in Sammobile?
Android 9 / PDA: N9600ZCU1CSB1 / CSC: N9600CHC1CSB1
Will this brick my phone? What should I take into consideration?
Thanks!
