Did a clean install and encountered a bug - not able to set wallpaper homescreen appears to have black background , however live wallpapers are working fine.
Edit : found a solution i used quickpic app to set as wallpaper ,so setting wallaper through third party app works i even tired premium hd wallpapers app it also worked fine!

Installed this ROM just now. Its clean install. Wallpapers are changing, no problem. Boot animation is blinking with white screen. Is it designed that way or a bug donnow. But this animation is not attractive anyway.
 @jackeagle is it possible to add APN manually. Pls reply.

Bootanimation it is a bug actually. There is a fix for it and its in OP..
Yeah APN can be set manually without any Issues If u need other bootanimation u can install it

BaNks is offering only minimal & standard and I don't want to replace standard launcher, camera etc. Shall I flash PA Gapps as their Full modular package doesn't replace those. Pls reply.

Maybe it's just me, but i notice a small bug in castscreen option : my tablet doesn't see my chromecast when i tap on cast screen in quick settings or in display/cast screnn although i'm able to cast my entire screen with the chromecast app, or stream with youtube, etc ?

NOTES - MUST READ
1. All credits goes to @Grarak for making the sources. The kernel, device and vendor sources are using Grarak's sources as base + the changes i've did. Also I've been able to build by using Google Cloud platform since my PC is crap... It took me 1h 30m to build with Google Cloud platform, while with my PC was still building after 7h of building and then got an error regarding my PC (was too slow or out of memory).
2. You dont have to flash root because it is included.
3. Don't use encryption. I don't know why, but Grarak mentioned this on his twitter at the last build for CAN-L01.
4. ROOT is included. Enable it from Settings > Developer Options > Root access.
5. The DPI is set smaller by default. However, you can change that in Settings > Display.
6. SlimRom team has abandoned the development of MM version, so there wont be any other release unless there are fixes / improvements to the sources.

Installation
Make sure you meet the requirements listed above.
1. Download the ROM and put it on sdcard. If you want GAPPS too, then download Open Gapps too (choose arm64, 6.0 and pico).
2. Reboot in TWRP by pressing all 3 buttons (Volume UP + Volume Down + Power).
3. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik-cache.
4. Flash the ROM from the directory where you've placed it.
5. Flash GAPPS (OPTIONALLY).
6. Reboot.

- offline charging / offline charging animation : it seems to show ??/100. Probably i'm missing something. It will be fixed in next build. Offline charging means when phone is charging, but it is turned off.
Same as LOS:
- FM-Radio (at this moment the app isn't even included)
- signal icon becomes empty / gray when you are using 3G, but the network is working
- camera recording / video playback issues (sometimes, when you play the recorded video it gets stuck / frozen)
- camera doesn't work for some people, while for me and others works
If you've found a bug, please report it along with a logcat.

- fixed drag-n-drop for SlimLauncher (paged drawer style). @YAJATapps from github is the one who shared the fix. This bug was left by the team of Slim ROM since the development of Slim6 has stopped.

I don't think that i will do other changes (such Substratum or something else) because this rom is meant to be slim, you know..
The following changes were done few days ago and will be available in next build of LOS too, but i won't make a new LOS build just for those changes:
- allow emergency numbers in call log
- enabled extended font support
- enabled TARGET_BOOTANIMATION_HALF_RES to speed up boot: more details here
- init.qcom.usb.rc: removed HiSuite
- unlocked 2160p for YouTube: found this here and the XDA article is here. Test it with this video. If you can't see 2160p resolution, then try to clear data and cache at Youtube app and then reboot. Note that i didn't notice any difference at all, but the XDA article says that there are improvements. If you encounter problems with that resolution (such lags or something), then just don't use it.

Introduction
Screw'd was created to be a more optimized and speedy ROM for Nexus & Pixel devices. We combine the best features with a slimmed down base to give you one of the fastest, feature-filled ROMs available. Screw’d is updated, compiled, and tested daily to ensure that we use the latest, stable code base straight from AOSP (Android Open Source Project). This means that we stay up-to-date with Google’s security patches and features, and we’ll never add code that isn’t required. We also post ALL of our source code so you can see all of the changes we make, and even compile Screw’d yourself. Although Screw’d was originally created for Nexus devices in mind, it is possible to port our ROM to work with other devices. As proof, we have ported Screw’d to non-Nexus devices such as the OnePlus 5.
Installation instructions
1) Clean flash is always recommended.
2) You can dirty flash updates (though it's not recommended), but please uninstall any substratum overlays first. Do cache wipe after flashing.
3) Reboot to Custom Recovery, Wipe System, Data, Cache/Dalvik (For clean flash)
4) Click Install, select firmware, rom and any other zips you want to install, then swipe to (start) install.
5) It is reccomended to flash gapps before first boot, otherwise you might face force close for some apps

Having issue in new update.
M using the old version of screed os 20180505 version this update was awsom but m having issue in new update 07 in this ROM gapps not working properly .m flashing gapps arm64 pico .but some time it showing error while flashing .and some some it install but working properly.only issue in playstore and nothing else .please give me some solution .you are doing greater work .I love this ROM . I love customization in this ROM have lost of customization option .please give me some solution regarding this

Perform A Factory Rest with Emui erecovery
Be sure you have my twrp recovery here with decryption data
Download the latest build and gapps
Reboot to recovery
If you come from another rom , Factory reset is needed ( Wipe cache + data + system)
Flash the latest build and gapps
Reboot

-be careful to have my TWRP 2018-09-08 (08-09-2018) build date version
-flash last Lineageos rom
- reboot to system ( not needed to reflash gapps and magisk after each lineage release,just if you want the last gapps/magisk release)

Be careful
the made of past on our own kernel build, backup your /vendor and kernel partiton BEFORE installed the ROMs.
The lineageos security patch is newer than Emui's. So the cmd "os_patch_level" is not the same as that of Huawei. I modified the build.prop to avoid all bootloop. Checked well before installing the rom that you have at least the version "ro.build.version.security_patch = 2018-06-01". If you have a version before this date, made the update emitted before or let me know, I prepared a script to fix it
The easiest way to know which version you have is to have ADB drivers to install: open a terminal command and type

Or with any root explorer ,go to /vendor/build.prop and open it. Search this.

emmm, I know, but it shows that I don't have permission to access that folder and only the developer/uploader can provide with access to that restricted files.

@micky387 I would gladly download and provide a thorough feedback report for this ROM, but I'm waiting for a build with working fingerprint nav, as that is the one feature I absolutely must have. Will be keeping an eye on this thread though!
Also, your "other issues" github link is giving a 404 error. Not sure if that's because github is down, or the link is genuinely broken.

I had A nexus 5 and HTC M8. I really loved flashing ROMs but stop all that crazy stuff when I picked up this mate 9. I saw this thread and I have to admit I am feeling the itch. You said it your daily ......hmm, and the known bugs are not to bad at all.
Any advice or suggestions to an out of practice and not that smart flasher if ROMs?

I have not learned the lesson, I just saw that the mate 9 will be updated to android Pié, official stock that happiness ..
