How do you like that ROM? I've never heard of it before so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
I managed to install Cyanogen 10.1 (Android 4.2.2) on a new Nook HD+ last night with the help of some of the excellent guides on this forum, but I have a big problem: Sky Go will not work on a rooted device.
Do I actually have to be rooted to use Cyanogen mods? Sky Go is absolutely essential to me. Without it, I think the tablet will have to be given to my girlfriend :crying:
I'm willing to use any workarounds here (dual boots? sideloading?) but I'm not very good with this stuff so I'd need a bit of hand holding.
Thanks.

If you search the Q&A thread there is a lot of discussion on Sky Go and the rooting issue.

As far as I know, RootCloak does not work for SkyGo
I don't know if it will or not. I can't get Sky Go, probably because I'm in the US. It certainly isn't going to hurt to try it.

I just looked it up:
RootCloak for Xposed will most likely never work with SkyGo, but there is a module for Cydia named RootCloak Plus which is written by the same dev and will maybe work with SkyGo in near future (dev currently working on it)

Hey guys I just flashed the latest Cyanogen Mod M6 test build this is after about a year of having a messed up Stock Kindle fire UI where the only thing that worked was the YouTube app which my daughter would watch from time to time. Well I decided to reroot and install teamwin recovery and Cyanogen Mod so my girl could use it as a tablet again, everything went fine and she is happy to have her tablet back but the YouTube app has since in the last three days started freezing when playing videos and the only way to fix it is to clear the cache and data in settings and reboot . Is this common ? Is anyone else having the issue?? Or is just this build???

I've heard of some saying this about M6. The newest nightly, which is newer than M6, is very smooth. http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=tate&type=nightly give it a shot.

So I picked up a nexus 6 yesterday on amazon unlocked in cloud white. Using it on tmobile.
What is everyone's favorite ROM and why?
What other mods do you suggest to make it perform better on tmobile as it doesn't seem to get the same data speeds as my LG G3.. Files seem slower to upload and download.
So far I'm loving how Smooth it is, and getting used to its size.

There are many great ROMs here. Go to the development forums and look for yourself. Read the OP's and pick one that has the features you desire. Try it, and if you don't like it, try another.
That's the beauty of nexus development.

Xposed Instructions
ONLY FOR NEXUS 6
I take no responsibility yada yada yada.
Nand Backup before proceeding if you haven't already. And I've always done it on a fresh clean install nothing else. After booting system for the 1st time not the same flash session.
Using latest TWRP, Unlocked bootloader, rooted.
1. Install the apk I attached.
2. Open it to make sure the app works.
3. Boot into recovery flash the .zip attached.
4. Reboot to system
5. Open the app to verify under modules section
Now Xposed works.
Tried on Chroma, DU, and Euphoria works perfect. Not tried anything else tho. Won't work unless 5.1.1 I believe

Pure nexus ROM. Perfection.
I have tried many Roms but the experience has always been traumatic.
I have been running Euphoria-OS for about a month and half now and it does make the phone feel the way it should have been since the beginning.

The N6 works fine, but uses a lot of energy
After trying some Roms I am back to stock and changed only things about energy consumption.
1. Flashing Franco' s kernel (default settings).
2. Black wallpaper (app No Wallpaper).
3. Change wifi-interval to 200 (build.prop editor).
4. Flashed black google now launcher (XDA thread)
5. Disabled services ( XDA Guide to disable Google play services; app 3C Toolbox).
6. Installed app Pixel Battery Saver.
7. Installed app Greenify.
8. Disabled not used apps.
9. Clean Manager to block most apps to auto start.
10. Replace apps with a white background
- K-9 mail instead of Gmail
- Became a fan of the great blackout team.

Is HellsCore one of those kernels with good default settings or does it require tweaking

Default. Mako build is for better tweaking. Try default. If you want better battery life tweak to your liking. I following Mike on YouTube lol and he has some great tips

Is there a slimrom or clean rom that will work with the US Cellular version of the Nexus 6?
The ROM which I have doesn't run the app.
I'm in XOSP
Thanks for the reply.

Stock has better grafic framerate than AOSP-CAF with OC Kernel?
Well that's odd. Because I'm running Pokemon Go in XOSP. Try downloading it from XDA Labs it worked for me.
Cm13 working great..

I think yes, I don't know why, not in all games but, in some games custom roms have like 3 or 5 more fps, but in other games custom just can't run at 15 fps and stock do it pretty well.
Hey guys,
I was trying to find a ROM that I can use to boot into from MultiROM that will allow me to play Pokemon Go. I tried an unrooted Nitrogen OS ROM and an unrooted stock rom by danDVH but both of them failed a safetynet check. I don't care about it enough to unroot completely, hence the reason I stopped playing a month or two ago when they started to block root.
Any ideas?
Is your bootloader unlocked? That triggers SN nowadays, among other things.
Yea it is, I thought that may have been the case. Screw Pokemon Go in that case, it's not important haha
