Try flashing just the radio which is inside of the firmware and you'll need to extract it. It's called modem.bin.. If that doesn't help at all you'll need to double check your APN settings.

Also extracting the modem.bin isn't going to be doing anything wrong it's the same thing an entire firmware update would do except it's one file instead of flashing all the files and losing everything.. There's nothing wrong with flashing the files extracted separately.

Basically what you look for is the ENTIRE firmware for SM-N920W8 and you download the entire file the whole entire 2GB and then after its finished you use an extraction application to extract it the FIRST time which will produce a .md5 file that's like 4GB in size or a little more inside this one is where all the files you need are so extract it ONE more time and then you'll see the entire list of files e.g boot.img recovery.img system.img sboot.bin modem.bin etc etc.. then you connect your phone in download mode and select the AP slot and navigate to the folder with all those extracted files in them and select just ONE which is the modem.bin and then flash it! Your phone should reboot and then check your APN settings once again just to be sure. If none of this works I guarantee you need to go get another sim card it's happened to me before it worked fine in my HTC 10 but refused to in my Note 5 only after getting a new sim card did it work. By the way I use 7zip for extracting files.

After you extract the modem.bin then zip the file back up as a .zip file and then do it again using the AP slot.. Don't use CP that's not for this.

I know wrong forum, but I'm looking to hear from some more experienced folks on here with the Tab.
Long story short. I knew flashing the modem would break something. I had previously downloaded the tab.rar file that had the restore files in it. My Tab would not update to the latest OTA because I deleted some sprint bloat on it. So my only alternative would be to restore the device since I deleted system files.
I went into odin and adding the pit.pit and the .tar file. Fails at trying to flash the modem.bin. I think at that point I tried it again with the modem.bin and it just gets stuck trying to flash it.
So then it's stuck at the Phone ! PC screen. Odin still sees it so I flash just the .tar (no .pit) and and it's back.
Does anyone have any modem files I can try? Or know of anyway to get my GPS back? I tested it today after doing some things and data seemed to be working again, but since I was indoors at work I couldn't test the GPS, to make it better I left it there accidentally today.
I also tried to flash the OTA via recovery and it failed at the modem part.
Any suggestions on how to get that file?
I'm that way, how should we solve the problem?
plz tell me how to do?
i con't use gps, so i want to flash modem.bin from ea24.but.......

WHAT IS THE USE OF .pit FILE?
.pit FILE IS USED TO DIRECT THE PARTITION OF THE WHOLE ANDROID SYSTEM..JUST LIKE WE ARE DOING GRUB IN PC...HERE ALSO WE NEED TO PARTITION THE SYSTEM FOR FLASHING THE FIRMWARE PROPERLY.. AND HERE THE .PIT IS USED
1. Get your phone into download mode..
2. connect to computer. Make sure that usb drivers installed and you have the firmware.tar file.
3. Now open odin 3.10
4. click on PIT and select ZEROLTE_USA_TMO.pit
5. Make sure that partition is tick
6. click on PDA and select firmware.tar file
7. Now start button and wait...You are done

Count yourself lucky you cant. He hasn't stated what storage size this is made for and doesn't seem interested in replying to questions. He probably made it with pit magic and you could do the same. I looked into it and it looks easy enough but it would take quite a while to make one so I decided not to since I personally don't need it. It is very important that storage size matches your phone otherwise your 128gb phone could turn into a 32 or the reverse (you wouldn't gain any space but You would get data corruption).

Try using Samsung Kies.
Okay guys I think I've exhausted all of my options here's the short version of what's going on. I started the OTA update on my s5 and it got interrupted ( I don't really know how ) and it won't go past the Samsung boot screen (and it now says custom with an unlocked pad). After doing extensive research and downloads I can get the phone into Odin mode and into recovery mode. I tried flashing the stock rom, down grade roms and kernels of all variants through Odin and through recovery with no luck . Odin fails at secure system check and stock recovery says failed to find /system build.prop (no such file or directory). Viewing the recovery log It says my os is (oc4) and my bootloader is (oi5) no help from Samsung or AT&T. In Odin I am able to flash the oc4 kernel, modem and stock partitions. It says current binary SAMSUNG official system status custom Knox warranty void 0x0
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Im pretty compident with programs and phones so if there is a program i can use i will make a .tar.md5 oidin file myself if it is posible to do. thanks again, sorry i also searched and searched. it seems as if the att S5 section of XDA is a ghost town, i know it can be over whelming at times (i know im a mechanic and deal with my fair share) but i dont beleve in not helping if i have the means to do so.

Can jump from version G925AUCS5DPK5 to this version ? when flash is stuck in odin, is there any way to do it, stays in file analysis for a long time but does not load, any idea how to fix it?:crying:
Here's everything I've tried
1) Change USB port
2) Administrator mode
4) Rebooted phone
5) rebooted computer
...... any other idea ?
Does this require a phone to be on a specific version before flashing? Just want to be sure everything is good to go before moving forward.

Full ODIN stock ATT files.
Download one file, unzip to 4 files and unzip this 4 files to md5 format. Put in ODIN and flash.
I'm not responsible to what happens to your phone if you flash this files. Flash in this files it is your and only your responsibility.

Now it´s working, I unzip all 4 files to md5, and then load the ROM successfully, but it stuck on black screen for about 30 min and never started, I had to go down to the previous version now with imei corrupt and now my cell phone no longer has signal, I do not know what went wrong or where I was wrong?
I flash this files in my g925aucu4dph5 phone, I will upgrade to nougat? What about ADB files? Do you have a video tutorial to this process?
just received my g925a 128GB version, currently has the build number LMY47X.G925AUCU3BOJ7, can i use Odin 3.10.6 and just flash this on it after zipping all 4 files down to md5? (bl, ap, cp, csc)??/
I'mgoing to assume it will not b rootabe after this? If so, to what firmware can i. should i update to so that I may root as flash some other ROM? What I really want to accomplish is just rid myself of all the AT&T bloat, as I do not use AT&T.......and would like to be a more newer version of android then 5.1.1
excuse of it seems nubish, but been using OnePlus One for 3 years now, and stumbled upon getting this phone on a great deal on getting this phone for $240.....so new to the samsung scene, but not to the rooting/bootloading unlocking flashing scene....
Also saw that another poster lost his storage flashing odin....something not cool on a 128gb device and another lost his imei....not cool either
Thanks for the update! Worked beautifully. Now waiting for may update.
Once you load these are we supposed to get updates from ATT? I ask b/c when I hit update it never finds anything and I don't have the most current OS I have the previous to current using these methods to update
has anybody done this without losing original storage or imei??? have a 128GB att edge and would not want this error to occur on mine...still in 5.1.1 build OJ7....
localization of 7.0 AT&T

Once you use these methods must I always? Rather then getting the it's update - my phone doesn't get current version and says I'm up to date .I'm on QCF.
