Picked this up online at HandheldItems for $6 (after using coupon code: galaxytab20 for 20% off). It fits the Tab very snugly, has all the ports/controls exposed & has a sorta smooth matte finish instead of a glossy/rubbery finish like other TPU cases.
It's good quality for generic & you can't beat the price for what you get. Much better option IMO than blowing $40 on the Belkin Grip Vue that Best Buy is selling (which covers up the SD & SIM slots!).
The cheap silicon skin I bought for my Tab is on all the time.
Great essential protection against scratches and knocks, good grip, minimum footprint.
Where did you get it from?and how much it cost?

Got it here for around $6 after applying the 20% off coupon code I mentioned in the original post: http://www.handhelditems.com/samsung-galaxy-frosted-skin-with-side-grip-solid-black-p-152335.html
Thanks alot sorry for the inconvinient
To OP...thanks for the link, am thinking of ordering one...for back protection I already ordered a Skinit skin...not sure if it will cover the sides, if not will order one of these...
Would have preferred an Otterbox but they don't have a case for the Tab yet...:-(

Verizon has the defender posted on their site. Not on Otterbox site though.

we have the same case, but mine is transparent, got it for Philippine Peso 400 ($9). As for the sleeve, it was just given by a friend who just came back from Singapore.

Cool. yeah, they had that one too but I was afraid that since I had the all black Tab that the clear TPU case would be more like "frosted" & make the black back look all faded & kinda off color.
Is the clear one really clear, or is it frosted a bit??

It's frosted, if you want clear you might want to consider brando clear hard shell
Wanted to order but changed my mind...shipping cost for an US$8 case is US$25!!! That made me think twice...will see if I can pick up something cheaper locally...:-(

Keep in mind its generic so you can pick it up on eBay too for probably free shipping. It'll most likely ship from somewhere in Asia though & take longer.
Hey fellas,
I normally post on the Galaxy S3 accessory forums but a few of my viewers have been asking for Nexus 7 product reviews, so I've gotten some cases in and will review them. The first I received was the Cruzerlite Androidified case, which is a simple TPU case that wraps around the sides and back of the tablet. It features a distinct 'android army' imprint on the back, which has a slightly matte finish to it. It's lightweight and offers decent protection, so it is a good 'average' case. It retails for $20 and comes in a myriad of different color options.
If anyone is interested in a giveaway of these, let me know. I can get a few in from Cruzerlite is there is enough demand
Check out my full video review below for more info;
Its a nice case, Id get one in red but IDK if a tpu case is worth $20.00

Great job on the review ! Id love one in Orange looks really nice
I have an Androidified case for my GNex, and I liked the design (and price) of that version much better than the one for the Nexus 7. But I have to say it does scratch fairly easily. I treat my gadgets very gingerly, but just being slid around on my desk at work or put in my purse during traveling (in a pocket away from my keys and other things that could damage it) it still picked up lots of little scratches.
At any rate, I don't like the "lots of tiny Andys" design as much as the "one large Andy" version, and for $20 I don't think it's worth it, considering there are other TPU cases available that are also good quality for about half the price. For $20 you can get the ASUS travel case, which isn't everyone's favorite, but it has a nice feeling finish (due to the microdots all over it) and the front flap, which to me is the better deal. If you tape a thin magnet to the front flap of the ASUS case you'll have a serviceable smartwake function, as well.
Good review, it just helped me realize that this case is not for me, and I wanted to make sure people knew about the scratching thing. It's not terrible, but it can happen and it does mar the finish of the case, at least on my GNex anyway.

I'm looking for a nice leather case that can double as a wallet replacement. That is to say, it should have a place for cards and cash.
I've found two manufacturers that make a nice leather case; Zenus and Spigen:
izenus.com/smart-phones/galaxy-note-2.html
spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-note-2/galaxy-note-2-leather-wallet-case-valentinus-series.html
My only concern is that none of the pictures show US currency laying flat in the cash slot. Since the Note II is just a whisker shorter than a US banknote this should be feasable, no?
How's Seido?
http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-SG...dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
Second review says currency does not fit unless folded.
I looked a Seido as I have used many of their products in the past.
However, it looks like they just have rubber/plastic cases.

Thanks Johnny, I missed that review on Amazon.
So it looks like the Spigen is out and just by eyeballing it, the Zenus probably is too.
Am I missing any leather cases in this style that might fit full length currency?

My thinking is that I'll be less likely to loose either if I have everything together but that's just a theory. Mostly, I just want to carry less around with me every day.
I found another company (Noreve) that makes a wallet style case and I've got a message into them to see if their cases are long enough for US banknotes.:
www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/Samsung_Galaxy_Note_2_Tradition_B_leather_case.html
We will see.
Give Etsy a try. Here's a simple search I did for Galaxy Note 2 wallet.
You might find something custom made or on request.
I'm wanting something similar and may resort to making my own. If you find something worthwhile post it up!
I'm also looking for a case with a wallet functionality. My biggest gripe is that most cases do not offer full protection.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/momax-the-core-smart-case-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-black-p37081.htm
That's the closest I can find to full protection, but it doesn't have wallet portion.

Get the zenus case I have it and its great
What about this, you can detach the phone case from the wallet, they also have one without the clasp, but I think this one is the closest to full wallet.
But still, not sure if you can put the whole paper money flat inside, I'm laying on my bed, too lazy to get up and grab my wallet to measure the currency to my note

Two reviews I did for wallet flip cases. These are both horizontal flip with black leather. I also have a great Noreve flip I'm using right now. I'll have a review for that up soon.

I see it does not have any pockets for cards or money. My concern with these type of cases is that over time, the cards will leave an impression on the SP at least (I doubt it would mark the GGII screen directly).

Lol, well the currency actually is 1/8 of an inch taller than the note, seeing how the flip case is almost exact as the note, I don't think it will fit flat
Hi Guys,
I ordered the sandstone back cover with the 5t as I read on the oneplus forums that the back cover that comes with the phone removes or messes up the paint. TBH the sandstone one sucks too. Is there a cover that does not mess up with the phone's body? Also is there any good tempered glass which can be applied even if there is a cover?
Thanks

Any case gonna do the same thing unless you clean you device regularly ( the dust goes inside the case through open cut outs and then the friction between phone and case mess it up even more) by taking it off the case. I personally do this once a day and it works for me. As for extra protection, get a dbrand skin for the back.

Thanks. Can you please share the link for that dbrand? All of my Samsung phones have GS protector but for the 5t they don't make it 360 degree protection. The pricing is same though

You can purchase the dbrand skins from here.
https://dbrand.com/shop/oneplus-5t-skins
Go for the black-dragon if you're looking for some grip. Once you got it on the back, use any clear silicon case to provide some sort of drop protection as well. As for the provided silicon case, there's no harm in using it as long as keep your device dust free regularly.

Yeah i know that skinnova skins are quite cheaper but there so many reviews about them not having a great quality like dbrand. There's no mention of the use of 3M material on their site and personally I've seen its mahogany wood skin which looks like shiny plastic wrap. So basically it all comes to this end. If you want some premium quality and a great fit, go with dbrand else if you wanna save some bucks, go for skinnova skins. And don't go for the fedex shipping, you can get the untracked usps shipping to save some bucks on dbrand as well.

I've ordered dbrand skins with untracked shipping for two times and it usually got to me in less than 20 days in both the cases so i guess, not getting your parcel is highly unlikely. Plus I'd suggest you you to do the payment with paypal so your money is in safe hands.

Apparently both use the same material and adhesive
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/choose-dbrand-or-gadgetshieldz.730798/
The only difference between the installation of a protector and a skin is the application, the former needs a soap solution while the latter needs a hair dryer, right?

I get mixed reviews regarding the skinnova skins material quality and leaving a residue after removing the skins. You can check out the other skins comparison threads to get a even better idea. As for the application, yes a hairdryer is a must for the skin whereas a soap solution isn't always necessary. I'll be providing a more detailed review on the dbrand skin for the 5t once i get mine.

Casemate clear fron Verizon
I have had experience with the clear Casemate case from verizon for a few days now. Its probably the worst case ive ever had. Terrible design, uses adhesive to adhere the front screen piece and easily come off with any pressure against it. Rear case holds just fine but is incredibly thick and changes the device into a boxy phone. Needless to say save your money and get a different case
Cool, thanks! Let us know how you like any of the ones you order.
I was thinking a possible case idea would be a rear TPU case that adheres with adhesive, but then has an extended flexible rubber that overlaps the screen edges. Then you could fold back the rubber when you want to swivel. Just a brainstorm, not sure how it would work in a practical use.
Just pulled the trigger on a case and protector from a Korean website (GMarket)
