MMI code information - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hello world! Some days ago I found this MMI code on internet for my Huawei P9: *#*#2846579#*#*
It opens a "ProjectMenu" and in Veneer Information->Version Info I found under "Manufacture Information" the model name EVA_T00_VN2 instead of EVA-L19 that should be the real one of my dispositive (I mean the one that is in the menu of android). I know that the T00 is the chinese's version and so it isn't able to receive same LTE bands. Is it possible that the seller modified the smartphone to make it seems european or the information I found has a different meaning?
I also tried to call the huawei assistance but they said to me that they have no resposability for that mmi code and that the imei of my smartphone is an EVA-L19's one. On other p9s those two model names (the one in project menu and the one in the andorid menu) are the same :/

I've got EVA-L09 and it says that i have EVA-L09.

"Cell Information" Running In Status Bar???

Guys,
I just got my unlocked D5803 compact today and put my T-Mobile SIM in it to test, and I've got this app called "cell information" running in the status bar in the upper left. I It just lists T-Mobile and the time I put the SIM in, however I can't get this icon to go away. I am missing something stupid?
Thanks,
Y2J

This worked! Thanks! I wonder why the heck they have this enabled. It doesn't do anything or give you any information. I don't remember seeing this in past Xperia Z phones. This is build 23.0.A.2.93. I believe this is a Latin America variant D5803, however it the packaging is in all English.

Software update

I just received a new software update for the 920I, which had a very short and mysterious description of "may include new features", weighed in at 39MB. Anyone know what it has?

Also do you remember which build number the phone was on before you tried the update to nougat? The build number is something like EVA-L09CxxxBxxx (E.g mine is EVA-L093C432B386)

Cannot connect to work wifi

Is it possible that my work could be blocking all Huawei phones as I cannot connect. It goes through the connection then directs me to a login page, my mate with a P20 has the same problem. My s8+ connects fine and so does everyone else I phones, LG phones etc. Its only us two with these phones that are not able to connect.

That may be possible with device ID they are blocking. Similar to some corporates which blocks some apps based on device or app information.
This is what I get when I try to connect

Nope. As you mentioned, all others are able to connect so definitely there could be a block or you can try checking with IT.
