I think Nougat OTA is on the way, since S6 Edge plus and Note 5 receive Nougat at April 11 2017. S6 and S6 Edge should be next

We can only hope, but AT&T has a poor track record on update consistency.

Mods for the S6 Edge will not work on the S6 Edge Plus, Sorry. It has been a long time and no progress on the S6 Edge Plus.

I am sure its possible with root but youd need to know how to port apks and frameworks or integrate frameworks etc. or wait for an experienced dev to do it.

Why would ATT not offer advanced messaging for the S6 & S6 Edge now that they are running Android 6.0.1 marshmallow.
I think is strange the LG phones that updated to 6.0.1 received this feature. It seems like it shouldn't have been hard for them to add especially since the first phones to ever have it were Samsung's S6 Active and S5 Mini.

The S6 active will also have wifi calling. This would have been great to have as well.

Hello all.
I have a galaxy s6 active on 6.0.1 marshmallow. I know that the galaxy s6 and s6 Edge got support for RAW shooting and shutter speed control when they were updated to 6.0, but I am not seeing that for my s6 Active. Can anyone tell me if they have these settings, or Samsung just ignored the s6 Active?

See reply to other thread. I wouldn't bet on it being added ever. Samsung hardly supports a carrier specific device such as the Active.
Recently in December of 2016, there were leaked benchmark results of the Galaxy Tab S2 running Android Nougat 7.1. This is important since the chipset within the Galaxy Tab S2 is that of the Galaxy Note 4 N910C (Exynos variant)- the Exynos 7 series. Since both chipsets are virtually identical, a port for the N910C is undoubtedly very reasonable. The Galaxy Tab S2 will certainly be receiving the Nougat update, putting the N910C of getting Nougat too in the realms possibility!

Not only this, but according to a Samsung Turkey roadmap (https://i2.wp.com/www.gottabemobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Nougat.jpg?resize=662,700) the Galaxy Tab S2 should be receiving its Nougat update on the 23rd of May 2017. Hold your horses everyone, looks like the Exynos variant of the Galaxy Note 4 should receive an Andorid Nougat port soon!
