I'm using AA successfully on my 6p with nitrogen rom. Disable that mtp setting in miscellaneous settings and then when you connect your phone to your car go to notification shade and change USB setting from charging to midi. It's been working flawlessly for 2 days now. I bet it'll work on any 7.1.2 rom if settings are setup right. I have a 2017 accord and I'm really happy it's working
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

My 6p is stock with beta upgrade to 7.1.2. I haven't noticed anything not working with Android auto. Never changed usb settings or anything either. I used to have problems with it but the software seems more stable now.

I have updated my custom Nitrogen OS from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 and since then I do not get any connection at all. Changing in USB mode did not succeed so far. LG Optimus G

I'm running the latest pure Nexus on my Nexus 6p and Android auto is working perfectly.

Nexus 5x, custom 7.1.2, android auto Rock stable..
Note 4 custom 7.1.2 no connection at all (cant connect bluetooth)
Lg g2 custom 7.1.2, working as Marshallow. Same things.

How do you disable MTP? Every time I try it is automatically re-enabled

Tried it. Zero luck. It sucks cause this is enough for me to need to switch roms. No other suggestions?

I have the same issue. Nexus 6 with Nitrogen rom 7.1.2. I tried disable de MTP on settings, but when I connect the nexus, automatically change to MTP.
Any idea???
Regards

Well, I solved it. I use Nitrogen ROM on my Nexus 6, and I found an option on settings/Others/ MTP instead charging (or similar, because I have it on Spanish). Dissabling this, I can used AA.

I am running resurrection remix rom 7.1.2 and I am definitely having issues when connecting my nexus 6P to my car that runs android auto. I have tried it with apple play, works fine. Tried it with my car stereo installers samsung device (no idea what it was) but it worked. I just can't get my Nexus 6P to connect. Keeps giving me an error message on my phone saying something about being in park. I always tested in neutral with the parking brake up. I thought this had to do with the version of android 7.1.2. Then I thought it was my device. Seem you guys have figured out how to get it to work with both. Maybe it's my rom. Please someone give me some advice. Just blew a chunk of cash on both the new car stereo Sony XAVAX100 as well as the install. It's kinda messed up it's not working and Sony is no help at all. Please assist even if via private message. Could seriously use some help.
Thank you

Probably resurrection remix problem. Try a custom which is based in original

I ended up flashing pure nexus. Still did not work. I then took the advise of another user and grounded the brake wire. That worked and I am happy to report everything seems to be working (with pure nexus). The only complaint I have is that the volume on phone calls is abysmal. There has to be a fix for this.

So u did flash from RR to Pure nexus, can we say this is a RR bug? Or what else u did to make it work?

I lived on pure nexus for almost a year. I'm never going back. Nitrogen is so much better in my opinion. But anyways...
Build prop editor voice.comms change it to false. Technically I do believe that's so others can hear you better. I never had mic issues on my end I usually turned it all the way down. Ohhhhh wait a sec... I forget i'm in head unit zone. That's whats too quiet?

Thanks for your work I just installed last night and I have noticed I'm not seeing my 5ghz WiFi network. I herd of this problem on the newer cm13 as well but stayed on an older nightly. Is there a work around?
Edit:
And now I'm getting terrible audio outbursts of loud ticking. I'm running without mods(xposed or kernel) and minimal root apps(and only baked in root/privacy guard) right now. Also no restores of any kind.
About 5ghz can anyone confirm this, could not test it cause use the old 2,4ghz.
What did you mean with audio outbursts? In which situation meaning what did you do befor you faced it?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 5
I was using a set of Bluetooth headphones but already turned them off. I went to my recents then randomly the speaker just got loud and started making noise(best way to describe it was a clicking). Since I rebooted the phone I haven't noticed it but I'll be listening to music via Bluetooth today so I'll see if it happens again.
I tried installing this on a kltevzw and it wouldn't install (figured that since this was posted in the unified ROM forum that it would work on any SG5...whoops). Any chance you could make a kltevzw version or point me in the direction of an updated CM12.1 kltevzw ROM? Thanks!
@AddictedToB3er will try to repruduce this little problem as soon as i find time.
@Clevinger this is just for klte variants, kltevzw isn't supported. Will see how many people are interested in, to get it also for kltevwz... If there are at least 5 people interested, then i'll build also for this vatiant.

I have not been able to reproduce my audio bug so unless it resurfaces I will act as if it never happened.
Also I got my 5ghz network showing up now. I went and played around with my router settings and changed the channel a few times and it's back. I also disabled and re enabled the wifi. Sorry for the false alarms.

This rom won't be developed any further. Like you I was also unhappy with cm13 and with marshmallow generally, but now tried and am really happy with Blisspop v6.4, that runs smooth and has got some more cool additional features compared to cm13.. Battery's performing great too. Maybe you should give it a try.

He made a new build today, check the download folder listed in the OP.
He may have also built it entirely when you asked, it was still uploading up to an hour ago.
First good news, new update is available
Second as i've said will or can make roms also for vzw version but at the moment have just very little time. Saw that some want it, so you'll get it if i have more time.

Internet Stick and Auto brightness

Hello.
In the very beginning of using my mtcb device, there was an option in the settings with auto brightness. It worked with the illumination wire.
I don't know really, what I changes, but it isn't working anymore or let's say, the option isn't there anymore.
What I have done is switching between different Roms and changed a few things in factory settings. Can there be the problem?
The second one: anybody here using a 4g stick? Is it possible? Which model are you using?
I am really unhappy my 3g stick, working with my old parrot Android device, is not working on this one. Which ones are you using?
Thanks for the help

I just ordered a Huawei wingle.
It's an USB-powered Wifi-stick.
It turns on by it self when it get's power, and then it makes a wifi-hotspot, that the radio connects to automaticly.
(I haven't recived it yet, but i hope that it works excatly as i described).
wifi isn't a problem, it's build in. i really just interested in 3g or better 4g

I'm sure it has to do with which kernel modules were compiled in. And as far as I know, we don't have any true original android ROMs for our units, so that's not likely to change soon.

Same problem here. I thought it was a signal issue. Until I flashed the 7.0 radio on top of 7.1.1 and the same issue. I think the official release of 7.1.1 has some bugs.

Good finding. I'll try out.
I'm also experiencing this issue, I've tried downgrading the Phone app through "Play store uninstall", unfortunately on 6.0.13 the bug is still here (current version is 7.0.14), dunno about downgrading it further, but had it been related to the Phone app, we'd hear reactions from Pixels / Nexuses 6P/5X, so it's definitely our update to 7.1.1, which is bad news, I don't know how quick Google will be with the next version now that we're past our official updates period.

Were you using the speakerphone? Do people on the other end complain when just using the regular built-in phone (not on speaker)?

Its not only on stock 7.1.1. I've got the same issue on PureNexus 7.1.1 (january patch). The speakers are working fine when hearing to music or watching videos, but with the speaker phone its awful on the other side. They are also squealing when getting notfications.

[7.1.2] |Unofficial| 2017.5.26 Lineageos14.1(Probably) for m7spr

Built using latest lineageos source
Don't blame me for something strange in the settings
Thats something I'm working on of my own project
(Also the reason for the "Probably" in the title)
It should have no bugs. I'm not a heavy user of m7 and up till now it worked pretty fine

Oddly the past few weeks I've been having ridiculous random reboots on text messages with good ol cm11. Even No HTC/sprint/Google software installed.

What about GSM sim and APN? Looks like "no sim" on screenshot.
Works good. Some minor issue.
Bluetooth isn't passing Pandora info to cars Bluetooth. Kk worked OK.
Setup wizards times out activating cellar service on every boot , canceling it kills it, and works regardless.
Texting/cdma/callls/lte are OK.
I've gotten a few random reboots, not sure if it's related to me and the stupid things I try. It was flawless until I started to add my personal daily driver apps.
Tethered 120Gb the past few days through it without issue. Gets warm, but I need to get my new battery installed.
Anything specific or logs just ask and I'll try hand supply them.
Much Michael appreciated work on the efforts to keep the m7 living strong! I have 4 more spares...

Google thinks I have Doogee Mix

Hi, since installing MIUI 9 I can't solve this issue. Google thinks I'm using a Doogee Mix instead of a Xiaomi Mi Mix. This might be me but I think that all Google apps look kinda zoomed in as a result (I think the Doogee has a smaller screen size). If anyone knows how to fix that, please let me know. Before, when I used LineageOS and MIUI8 no such thing was the cause.

I got the same thing when I switched from AICP to MIUI 9 last week. I only stayed on MIUI for a few hours before switching back, but I remember getting an email from them mentioning my 'Doogee Mix'.
Happened on a device years ago too (Moto G detected as some LG). Never found out how to change it but doing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch fixed it.

Same boat. Switched to MIUI a few days ago and now looking to go back to a AOSP rom. Switched to MIUI because when using Bluetooth in my truck AOSP roms give bad feedback to the person I am on the road with. I drive a lot for work so it's been a huge complaint. However notifications suck so hard on MIUI that I just have to go back.

You've mentioned Magnum Opus, so i thought you might be installed the Am3d zirene module as well which is already included in Opus. Sigh, it didn't work on Nougat builds no matter what.
Yet I saw there is a magisk module which supports am3d but magisk gave me a headache by failure of flashing due to dual boot. Without it; my combination(Am3d + Dolby atmos + Dolby digital + Viper4Arise) becomes insufficient. On nougat volume is decreased probably by mixer_paths or something else, so i downgraded to 7.5.4 MM Epic(again) lol.
Btw the Google also thought that Im using New Doogee Mix(some time ago received a mail). Ignored.

I can relate... I had the same issue when I updated to the latest available ROM... I received an email on my google account informing me that I just signed in using a "doogee mix" -- I immediately downgraded after only half a day, I decided to go back to MM software... Had to use Mi Tool to re-flash global MM firmware AND RE-ROOT. It honestly is much better than the Nougat Mui9... Now I've gone with Resurrection Remix and so far it's been treating me well.
