OEM Unlock toggle not working - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
I just updated my Huawei P9 from Marshmallows to Nougat EVA-L09C432B378 but the problem is I cannot enable the OEM Unlock toggle in the Developer options. Is there a way to get this fixed? I need help.
Bootloader: Unlocked
FRP: Locked

It means its unlocked. It's disabled on purpose to prevent you from bricking your phone...If you want to relock it then do so via fastboot and the toggle switch will come back on the next boot.

I tried to relock it using cmd via fastboot but it's still giving errors. Maybe because the OEM unlocking isn't enabled. Any ideas around this?
I can't perform any commands using cmd via fastboot also. [emoji29]

Same problem here. The OEM unlocking toggle button isn't active. Can't switch it on/off. Any ideas to make it work?

I think it's normal in N when bootloader is unlocked. Switch is on?

The OEM unlock needs to be switched on to perform fastboot commands using cmd. If it is inactive, we can't perform any fastboot commands such as flashing twrp recovery.img and such. It will still show errors. The OEM unlocking needs to be enabled for these functions to work. Maybe it has something to do with the FRP lock. I'm not sure how we can get this to work. My oem unlocking is off and inactive. [emoji29]

I unlocked bootloader twice:
1: on MM and then update to b378
2: after update to N
Every time on nougat I had unactive oem option but always switched on.

But can you perform any flashing while in fastboot mode on your Nougat? Such as twrp recovery img

I don't want to rollback. I am just looking for a way to get the oem unlock toggle to work. Maybe unlocking the FRP should do the trick. Any ideas about this?

I'm on B378 and my OEM Unlock toggle is also grayed out, but switched on. My Bootloader and FRP also both say unlocked. I think you're probably correct therefore in your problem relating to your FRP being locked. DC Unlocker (https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-android-phone-frp-unlock) can unlock it for you.
On saying that, it maybe that even after you unlock FRP, on nougat the OEM unlock may be greyed out as standard, which would mean that you would still have to downgrade back to MM (B136) and start again! A pain I know, but it may be the only way.

I think it's one way and finally on nougat oem unlock is unnactvie with open bootloader

I'll just use DC Unlocker and unlock the FRP first and see how it goes.

I can't update to .201 via OTA.

So today I have received an OTA update to the newest .201 firmware. I tap install, it downloads and turns off as usual, progress bar shows up and on second dot when progress bar is in the half, the updating stops and phone turns on. What is wrong?

Instead of OTA update, you tried updating through Sony update service or PC companion?
@spp85
No, because I want to keep root.
Wysłane z mojego C5303 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Perhaps (not entirely sure ofcourse) is that the cause / issue?
You mean that root is causing this problem? If it won't work then I will eventually update via PC Companion.

Nope. I don't use Xposed framework. I'm out of ideas ;/ Looks Iike I will have to unlock bootloader once again to root to .201

Lost imei after Flashing custom kernel

Hello guys,
I actually wanted to get that double tap to wake and pac/aokp on my z1. I was on 4.4. Did the backups, unlocked the bootloader. I flashed pimp my z1 kernel via twrp. Then I flashed aokp. Imei lost. Same thing for pac. I even tried restoring all partitions from backup and since I was on UB it shouldn't be a problem, right?
Well, even though I restored stock rooted rom which worked perfectly fine before I still did not have the imei.
I went back to stock.534 for now.
Do you guys have any tips for me? Im out of ideas on a crappy rom and I'd really love to get pac/aokp or any other custom rom that is cm based.
Sorry for typos. Writing with stock Sony keyboard is a pain.

yes, that thread explains how to properly port the rom so you don't lose IMEI or get simlock
which custom roms are you flashing, please provide the links to the thread.
I've tried 2 so far. Both with the kernel provided with rom and with pimped kernel.

Thank you for your interest.
are you on c6903 or c6902?
I know your tapatalk says c6903 but that could have changed depending on your build.prop
Did you flash the c6902 modem packages from both of those roms or not?
I'm using C6903. I'm positive about it.

Those packages are for c6902
It might be worth a go. You may have an actual c6902 handset (Check the box and/or SI number) that is now reporting its c6903 due to a build.prop entry
Try it, you can always flash back to stock FTF as you did last time.
Greg, honestly. I'm using C6903. That's written on a box, on that small thing that slides out of the phone and I can use LTE network without a problem. It's a 100% C6903.
I'll do that though, but I don't think that this will change anything.
Wysłane z mojego C6903 przy użyciu Tapatalka
OK, if you are 100% sure, don't flash the modules
I will have a think and get back to you

Thank you. Hopefully we will sort it out.

Never do an OTA with an unlocked bootloader, it explicitly says so on the Sony website where you unlock your bootloader.
EDIT, you relocked, that's good.
Which FTF can you flash and get an IMEI working again

.534 FTF gives me back my IMEI. Havent checked anything else yet. I do need a working phone function.
I restored my previous backup and flashed stock kernel via ftf and I'm back to where I previously was (except that all of the contents of internal memory is gone)

Update to stock android 4.4 kitkat using SUS or PC Companion or Flashtool (your choice, no difference) then unlock bootloader and do what you want.
I remember when I used to downgrade from android 4..3 (.290) to 4.2 (.534) I used to loose my IMEI. Unless, downgrading to .257 then to .534 So maybe you should get stock android 4.4 before you try 4.4 custom ROM & Kernel
