I'm on vacation in the Philippines. I have T-Mobile in the United States. I cannot connect to the smart network no matter what settings I try. I've messed with the APN. I've call T-Mobile on my wife's phone .. nothing. Yes I Googled it up and down and nothing has helped. I was here two years ago with my Nexus 6 and it worked without me doing anything. I'm on stock ROM on the OnePlus 3T.

Two days ago, out of a sudden my phone stopped connecting to the carrier (Rogers, Canada). I can't call, send text, or use data at all. When I go into Access Point Names, my Xperia Z shows the lterogers.apn installed. If I go into Service Providers I can see a list of Canadian networks, I've tried connecting to the LTE, 3G, and 2G networks of Rogers to no avail. Also, I tried my SIM in a Nexus 5 and it works, I also went to the company and there are no issues with my account at all. Any advice on how to solve this?

Hey guys
I'm having the exact same problem! Haver only had the phone a month - previous xperia z replaced due to sudden death - and then this morning I lost my mobile data connection, closely followed by my entire reception. I've repaired/reset the phone multiple times, all per Sony's instructions without any luck. Hoping someone around here has a fix for me!!! At the moment just bashing my head against the wall with this phone and its issues!

Have you solved the problem ? I have same issue , after many others...pls help
Hey, bought an S5 from China. Turned out to be the SM 900A. I'm in the UK, it worked when I got it, so thought nothing of it.
Two weeks later, it stops being able to connect to any network, with any SIM card I try. It detects networks but is unable to connect to any of them.
Have looked online and things suggest it is region locked... how can I test if this is the case? More importantly, how can I get it unlocked? What I don't understand is why it would work connect to UK networks for the first two weeks if it was region locked.
Cheers
anyone?
Have an unlocked SM-N950F BTU with a Vodafone UK SIM.
WiFi calling was working fine with 7.1.1, but after the Oreo upgrade no more.
I lost the setting after the upgrade and had to call vodafone to provision the option to my phone. I have the option under settings and it is enabled, but no WiFi calling.
Called vodafone and they say that they can't see the service being registered on their side. Tried disabled/re enable WiFi calling option on the vodafone app and no luck. Reset network settings and no luck. Shortcut Master Lite no longer works.
Any ideas? Am I the only one on this boat?
No you are most certainly are not the only one! I have been struggling with this myself. Many calls, messages and a visit to a Vodafone shop and I have got nowhere with them. Considering going to EE. I have tried:
Flashing to Vodafone CSC
Replacement SIM from Vodafone
Toggling Wifi setting in my vodafone website.
Asking Vodafone to send config messages
Texting 97888
Downgrading to Android 7.1.1 and fiddling with settings in shortcut master
None of this had made any difference. Note that wifi calling works instantly if I insert a 3 SIM.
Extremely frustrating.
Just a quick note to say that I finally got hold of someone at vodafone that understood the problem and was able to send me settings to enable wifi calling.
Thanks for sharing. Any chance you know what they did? Will give them a call this afternoon again. They said they would contact me in 24/48 hours and this was Monday. - nothing new here right?
Do you who you spoke to at vodafone who sorted the WiFi calling problem? Thanks
Still have an open case with them.
Hello,
Tow days ago i arrived in Ny and bought a plan from Mint Mobile (they are under T-Mobile). After i followed the steps mentioned on their web site, in order to set my data connection, in get only edge connection. I tried resetting network settings, factory reset, i also changed the Rom. Currently i have the one for UK H3G, downloaded from Sammobile.
I bought my phone from Romania (Orange). Back there i had 4g+ connection. Is there anything i can do to get lte connection?
Thanks,
Vlad
Hi,
I'm not a technical expert and have no idea how to solve my problem. I bought my LG 3 years ago in Europe, factory unlocked.
I am pretty sure I had a wifi calling option in my phone settings before, but after VODAFONE UK (I live in the UK) did something - they disabled wifi calling, I completely lost wifi calling option. I can't find it anymore, it doesn't exist in my settings at all.
I reset my phone yesterday, and nothing changed.
I would be grateful if anyone knew how to bring back wifi calling on my phone.
Thanks!

Have you asked vodafone uk? See, wifi calling is basically controlled by 2 parts; 1) the phone having the ability 2) your carrier provisioning the sim to allow it.
So, it's not as simple as 'turn it on'. If the carrier isn't allowing it, for some reason, all you can do is change carrier.
In my case, in the states, with mint mobile (t-mo reseller), I had to go to my account settings with mint, and turn it on for my account. There was no cost involved. But there's technically nothing you can do if the sim hasn't been provisioned. That's up to the carrier.
