[Help] Bootloop animation. Z3 Compact - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I've got into a problem.
Recently I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone. Then I installed Lineage OS. When I tried to go back to stock ROM,flashing it via recovery, it got stuck at boot animation (blue waves).
Other ROMs based on AOSP, like Carbon ROM, and the same Lineage OS can boot and work fine. But when I install Sony stock based ROMs, they just get stuck at the animation.
I've tried many things.
-used factory reset in recovery several times.
-tried different ROMs (the same problem happens just with stock based ROMs, while Custom are working)
-tried locking the bootloader and using software repair with Xperia Companion. Getting an error everytime
-tried flashing with flashtool by androxyde. It just aborts the flashing when I connect the phone in flashmode. It says :
error : null
erorr : flashing aborted.
Will be glad for any help.

So. I just fixed this problem, after struggling with it for about 3-4 days. Maybe this "magical" way will help someone that will get into this problem too.
-I had Lineage OS installed on my device
-downloaded eXistenZ Marshmallow - v5.6.5 (which is based on stock sony firmware) from a XDA post and transfered the .zip to internal storage
-entered recovery and did a factory reset (wiped data, cache, dalvik/ART)
-flashed the eXistenZ from internal
-I got stuck in the animation boot (strangely, the animation was from Lineage OS
-I powered off the device
-opened the flashtool and the flashing process started, without any errors.
Now i'm back on stock firmware, and it loads without problems. I guess Lineage OS deleted some files required for stock roms to work properly/flashtool to start the flashing process ,and the eXistenZ mod added the missing files. I just don't find any other explanation.

looping on "unforunately system ui has stopped"

So today I received a XT 1056. I then proceeded to unlock the bootloader and flash SU.
So I then tried flashing a CM 12 nightly build and all went well. I was able to setup the device until the screen was locked and then the phone instantly starts looping through the "Unfortunately, system UI has stopped." error. I've tried flashing an older version of the ROM, and I've tried numerous other 5.0 ROM's but each one will crash as soon as the screen is locked.
And it would not seem like a great idea to revert to an older version of Android and risk bricking the device.
So if someone could advise me how to get rid of the loop error it would be much appreciated.
I have TWRP 2.8.3 currently flashed if that makes any sort of difference....
Install the gApps...

I tried a fresh install of this CM12 with the gapps it says to use and once again I can setup the phone and as soon I get to the home screen the system UI loop happens. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/rom-unofficial-nightly-lollipop-5-0-t2960768
I also saw your post in that thread to try flashing with these instructions, but it still has the same error.
1 - Download an earlier version of the ROM that booted on you phone along with the gapps.
2 - Flash the ROM and gapps with a suitable recovery... CWM or TWRP 2.6.
3 - Download the latest release that you want to install.
4 - Flash the latest release over the pre - installed ROM without wiping anything.
Is it possible to just flash 4.4.4 or do I risk bricking the device?

Mi5 Unable to boot in OS , boots in twrp despite os installed successful

So i tried installing custom rom , stock rom , Fastboot rom , each time installation was successful through twrp or MiFlash , but whenever i reboot it jumps to twrp , i also tried with stock recovery no success.
Now i dont know what other soln i can try seems all solns tried appeared through google.

Redmi Note 9 Bootloop to recovery - help needed

Hi all,
I have a rooted redmit note 9 that was running the stock rom (EU version i believe as i am UK based) perfectly well for several months until today when then latest over the air update installed and my phone is now stuck in a bootloop where i can only access the custom PBRP recovery (installed from when i rooted previously). I can also access fastboot. I have tried wiping all data and cache etc, i have tried reflashing the magisk patched stock rom that previously worked, i have also tried flashing vbmeta that i flashed previously but still no luck. This is my only phone so I really need to get it working again.
I was about to try re-flashing the stock rom with SP tool but it tells me the scatter file is invalid.
Not sure what else to try now. I also note that when i PBRP loads up it always asks for a password however i dont have a password on the device.
Please could someone suggest something i could try?

Thanks very much for your response. Based on your advice i tried to flash the latest Kraken 11 Vanilla rom from this fourm, however after installing via TWRP now i can't even get into recovery anymore, just goes straight to fastboot.
Any other suggestions please?
I have now managed to get back in to TWRP and tried flashing lineage latest rom but still i am stuck in a boot loop taking me to fastboot this time.
Please can someone help suggest hwo i can get my phone working agian. At this point i dont care which rom i end up (custom or stock) with as long as i can get it to function again
If your device is rooted, you can NOT update the system using the OTA (over-the-air), or the device will be stucked in bootloop.
If your device is rooted, you need to update the system MANUALLY, using the fastboot or spflashtool.
I suggest to update the system using the fastboot.
Now, you need to flash the whole MIUI again, except userdata and you will have your device back.
For anyone with a asimilar problem i eventually managed to fix my issue by using miflash tool version 20180528 and flashing merlin_eea_global_images_V12.0.10.0.QJOEUXM_20210413.0000.00_10.0_eea_c4a9d5d7fc fastboot version which i downloaded from the xiami site.
I had to try this multiple times because the extraction of the file did not seem to be correct on the first attempts.

Problem with the boot with all roms

Hello!
Well, my problem is simple, I was using Lineage OS 17 (android 10) with my HTC One m7 for nearly 3 months..
This morning I tried another rom (RROS Q) I wasn't satisfied too many bugs.. Then I tried Lineage OS android 11, deleted it and tried a stock android 4.4.5 from but it refused to boot causing a bootloop.. And from that instant every rom I tried refused to boot.. I had only the boot logo with its animation (in lineage OS and RROS)..
I have to mention that after every flash (rom or gapps or nagisk) I wiped the cache dalvkit
And i wiped them all and even made format data between the moment of flashing new roms..
I was using twrp as a recovery, then i tried orange fox, and the same problem persist..
Any help please?

I did an update via the RUU to install a stock rom, it was a success, but It doesn't detect my sim.. Maybe radio firmware not compatible.. Then I installed twrp recovery, but in the internal storage I have 0 mo, can someone help please, if I can't access to the internal storage then I can't flash custom roms
EDIT: By flashing orange fox recovery and rebooting it, the storage was foxed...fixed and was back to normal.
I fixed the main problem (the phone stuck in the boot animation of different roms) by updating (downgrading maybe) the firmware using RUU, but I lost the mobile functions (sim undetected) my phone is gsm... I will try to RUU with another version
I think my phone is Chinese.. Anyway codename WLS
I used 3 different RUU and still tge same problem..
My phone version as it appears is a WLS Sprint, I guess it work only with American sim cards... I was using it for nearly 6 years in Europe (gsm).. But I was forced to screw it up when I did the RUU to escape the boot stuck at the animation logo...
I need a firmware with working gsm radio.
Can someone help me please?

How to flash ASOP based ROMs?

Hi
A few months ago I was able to flash on angelica lineage-17.1-20210326-UNOFFICIAL-angelica.zip and this worked well. Yesterday I tried to flash the s same image again and after several attempts I get a black backlit screen when lineage is meant to start. I reflash stock _V12.0.10.0.QCRMIXM then a recovery - PBRP 3.0.1. From there I was having issue
What is the flashing process for an unlocked device that has something like TWRP/Pitch Back/Orange Fox installed?
I guess once you unlock and can flash the recover you use the recover to flash the zip, then reboot and flash magisk.zip and everything should work? Or is there some step missing.
I had this problem too with the google pixel 7 pro. Can't help ya there on that one. I even tried re installing older firmware and it still didn't work. Maybe the bootloader is permanetly downgradable but the firmware of the stock is. Just a guess. Lineage os 20 is an unofficial build at the moment that receives hardly any updates.
