Hello everyone. I and other people talked to OldDroid, a recognized developer from the OpenKirin team, the team would like to bring LineageOS 14.1 based on EMUI 5 for our Huawei P9 Lite but they don't own it at the moment. We can send them either the device or the money for one, so they could bring LOS to our beloved P9 Lite. I think the best option is to start a fundraiser all together so they can get the device. The goal of donations is 220€ and this is the PayPal email of OldDroid to donate: [email protected]
If we collaborate I am sure that we can bring LOS to our device.
Current situation:
Potato997: 10€
ThijsAanHetStreamen: 5$/4,56€
Gvidas Urbonas: 5€
Total: 19.56€
Needed: 200.44€
I can't donate, but if i could i would do it
I donated $5. I don't have that much money but everything helps! Would love to see los on emui 5.
We are a quite big community and I'm sure we will make it!
pls donate, every 60 second, a minute passes in OpenKirin office.

The problem is that people wait to others do the job instead of contribute, if everybody donated like 2€ it would have already done.
We do not allow such threads on XDA. Donations are for work already done and are not to raise money for devices.

I Dunno if this deserves a thread or not,
but it struck me today that we (Rhodium Users) have been getting some really excellent ROMS just recently from all the Chefs who gracefully share their hours of hard work along with all the beta testers who allow their devices to used and put in meaningful bug lists so that the majority can experience something a little better that HTC originally offered.
Maybe someone can put it better than me but i just wanted to say a Massive Thankyou to everyone who actively contributes to ROM development on our devices but especially to the Chefs who put all the research fixes and Often cutting edge software together to make some astounding ROMs ready for us all to use.
I'm sure we all thank the chefs individually at least i hope so! and please DONT turn this thread into a "who's is the best ROM" cos that sucks.
But what ever your preference in build or manila flavour or chef, I invite you to join me in a collective thread of appreciation for our Windows Mobile ROM Development Forum and all who contribute to it so abundantly.
Thanks!
To all u wonderful chefs my hats off to u!thanks a bunch and keep up the good work!
Yep this is a well deserving thread, cause with out you guy's (the Cooks) we would all just be conformists leading simplistic lives
Thank you
A big thank you once again for all the hard work it is very much appreciated. Our devices would not be as great without the effort these guys put into cooking ROMs for a bunch of whiners and complainers but they continue and put up with it. My hats off to all of them.
yupp a big thanks to all of the chefs for all their hard work and excellent and unique roms thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you...i love u guys and gals
Not to be a party pooper or anything, but I think a small donation (a dollar or two at least) will please the Chefs quite a lot.
If each one donated a dollar to his favorite chef of the rhodium community, he/she would appreciate it a lot. I know many GREAT CHEFS, who's names will stay anonymous) have stopped developing roms just because they weren't getting anything back in return (they were devoting their time to developing, THEY DO HAVE OTHER WORK TO DO AS WELL). They are not asking much. Its only a small donation.
What is a dollar/month compared to what they have given us.
Oh and, Thank you CHEFS

Well said my friend! Donate indeed not only to the chefs but to xda as well!
I'm pleased to see such response off thanks to our good chefs, as you say i know members have stopped developing roms due to lack of appreciation and by starting this thread i hoped to counteract that a little
Hi All,
We all use and appreciate the time and effort our cooks put into making ROMS! We should show them appreciation for their work with a coffee or beer as their work makes our business and pleasure more fun!
BUT...one great cook has had his PC fried, and can't cook. Miniterror has been making the "Ravage" ROMS and they are SUPER!
So, this is my APPEAL (I have not been asked), to get just 35 people to DONATE 10 Euros each to Miniterror to help get this great cook back up and running for ALL our benefits!
Please follow this link to his temporarily discontinued ROM page...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633360
Or follow this page directly to the one that shows his plight...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6201115&postcount=1112
Please get on board and help...you can donate on either pages!! I will begin the quest, but please help out!
Please post any messages of support here to encourage our cooks!
Regards
J
P.S. Remember to appreciate all our ROM cookers from time to time!
Dear awesome P990 community,
I am following this community since I have gotten my own LG optimus speed/2x. The awesome work of tonyp, pengus77 and other great developers really got our phone on the edge of android innovation.
I thought, because this here is such an awesome community, I may ask for some help on my research
Over the time, I noticed that many of you are actually from Germany. Therefore I am asking for some help on a study I am doing about the use of QR Codes. The study takes around 10 minutes and is only available in german.
Every participant has the chance to win a 50€ amazon gift card.:highfive:
Link to the survey:

All help is greatly appreciated :fingers-crossed:
Thanks!
Amazig topic
Thanks for helping community.
Dear developers,
Vivo v11 pro has awesome hardware. But unfortunately, noone is interested in developing a CUSTOM ROM for it. I do not really understand why ?.
May be many of us V11 Pro users will be ready to raise some funds also, if needed to get it going. But please please please, start working on this device. You guys can't just let such an awesome device DIE. It has so much of potential.
If there is any official contact details available for the top development teams here, please share so that we can contact them. Like Pixel Experience, Lineage etc.
Looking forward to some of three genuine guys take up this job soon.
Thank you.
Probably because the device bootloader cannot be unlocked and Vivo hasn't released the kernel source code
Hello,
I was using an unofficial version of LineageOS on my very old Samsung phone for 2 years but return to a feature phone after a break. Nowadays, looking for a budget Android smartphone supports LineageOS or something similar for my daily needs. I'm a kind of noogler and used my Lineage without any Google service. Just rely on F-Droid and happy with this choice. Planning the same for my next device.
I'm working as a web developer for living.
Glad to be here.
Welcome to XDA!
Multiple threads about what kind of phone to buy next. I hope you find the advice you're looking for.
Welcome aboard serbestian!
