Is there any working fix for the poor audio when recording videos? (SOLVED)

It looks like the culprit is too aggressive noise cancellation. Even when recording in my room I can hear the sound is distorted a bit.

It doesn't help.
I've found a proper fix that actually works.
Mi Max 2 workaround for noise cancellation mess when recording video.

Your device needs to be rooted.
Root Explorer app is recommended.
1)Make backup of audio_platform_info and mixer_paths_mtp (/system/etc/)
2) Write down these files' permissions (rw-r-r-)
3)copy-paste new files from the archive.
4) Fix their permissions.
5) Reboot.
Audio volume settings in the new files are kinda aggressive(90), so you'll definitely have to decrease your multimedia volume in MIUI to ~30% . It depends on your headphones,
Now when you record video you won't get audio distortions coz of noise cancellation anymore.
If sound is too loud or you want to decrease mic sensitivity, you can edit mixer_paths_mtp yourself. Look for "90" values. Actually I think you can easily reduce audio volume to 80 and it will be fine ..and safer.

PS I've tried fluence method but it caused echo when talking on the phone.

Anyone tested it in Max 2 who can confirm.

Put "Cinema fv-5 pro" app
I fixed my metalic noise problem on my Mi Max 2.
Install the app Cinema FV-5 Pro.
The noise you ear is do to low mp3 bandwith.
With this app you can increase the audio quality.
In the app go to settings, click on:
- audio-source: built in mic
- custom audio settings
- enconding format: automatic
- audio channels: stereo 2
- audio bitrate 120000
- sampling rate: 44100
That worked for me.

Google camera for MI 5X and MI A1

Sooo looking for the best ported Gcam for the Xiaomi MI 5X, I've found a spanish post from "htcmania" website with a program to install this on the MI A1, so I took the APK file from this program and tried using it in mi MI 5X, obviously you need the Camera2_API turned on, you can find information about it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5x/themes/mod-mi-5x-t3746670
After installing the APK file I found this camera to be way better in every escenario, you can force HDR+, the portrait mode from both, rear and frontal cameras, noise reduction, overall quality, etc.

How I transfer all apps, data, contacts, music and video from Redmi Note 3 Pro to MI A2? Please suggest any better tool. MI Mover Barcode is not working on RMN3. MI Drop does not transfer contacts and MMS

Hey, welcome in A2 community! ?
For contacts you should synchronize your Google account and it will transfer automatically.
For audio/video, use sd card or pc to transfer. This is the easiest way I guess.
I had rn3pro too, you will enjoy this device I can promise. Camera is a beast on this device with proper setup?

Can't play back slow motion videos in slow motion or edit the slow motion start/end

Hi,
When I view a slow mo video I just took in the camera, I am asked which player to use. There doesn't seem to be a Mi player option. I may have removed this option when I was debloating the phone, but I'm not sure if this is the case. There is the option to choose Google Photos, which plays the video at normal speed only.
Does anyone know the name of the app that is used to play back and edit the start/endpoints of slow motion videos, so I can reinstall it? Is anyone else having this issue?

The stock gallery can edits them "com.miui.gallery"

I have the same problem. I have the Global ROM 10.2.9.0
A friend who has Mi 8 can edit the moment of the slow video and I can't I think that on Mi 9 is unavailable..

Question Music Stops On Notifications

Hi There, I'm using Mi 11Ultra on MIUI 12.5.6
Whenever I recieve a message or send one, the music stops / pauses, feels like the Notification sound overrides the music even if the phone is on Silent.

Settings , sounds. Sounds assistent, click several sound sources... Idk what it is on English ROM.. now you can listen to Spotify without Whatsapp message lower volume
