If it is possible at all would I flash the normal s6 twrp or is there some other custom recovery built for the s6 active? Also would I have to unlock the bootloader? I have installed a custom rom and recovery on my tablet so i understand the process but Im new to download mode and odin so I dont want to take the risk of flashing the wrong recovery without asking first.
You can't flash, because of locked bootloader.
And you can't unlock it.

good morning all ,
i have xperia ZR with 10.5.1.A.283 stock rom inside (KK 4.4.4).
in order to try some custom roms, i have unlocked the bootloader.
now i have tried all the combination of hard keys to boot into stock boot loader but i can't.
i want to install cwm or twrp but i don't find a way to boot into recovery,
is there any one who can tell me if there is another way to flash a kernel with cwm or twrp inside or any other way to boot into recovery .
thanks in advance

you may try flashing a custom kernel which has recovery included in it. you will need flashtool
I think the answer is no right now, but I wanted to check. I see that TWRP is available for a few models but not this one. I noticed hen attempting to access recovery mode after updating to 4.4.2 and rooting the tablet that there is no recovery installed. It is possible to use the ADB or Fastboot modes, and you can do a factory restore, but no recovery per se.
Same problem here please help!!!
With the locked bootloader, there is no "by the book" custom recovery. You will need to use a temporary CWM session. ROMs can be made and installed, however with the locked bootloader, the unsigned images will fail to install.
Hi ppl. Is there any way to flash recovery without a computer? I've lost recovery after flashing lollipop. I'm rooted and on a locked bl. I wanna flash a different Rom but cannot since I've lost my recovery. Please let me know if there is a way.
I would like to install a custom ROM. But I really hate that screen when you first boot saying you have unlocked your phone blah blah. I would like to install a custom ROM with my boot loader unlocked. After it's up and running I want to re lock it so that message does not appear on boot. Also is it possible to disable the DM- verity check message as well when booting with a custom ROM? The goal is to have a custom ROM on the phone with no warning messages at all about anything.
That's not possible. To be able to re-lock you need a kernel that is signed for the locked bootloader which effectively makes it impossible to run any ROMs using any other kernel and recovery than stock OOS and also makes it quite a mess to update ROMs as you would have to unlock bootloader everyone to run TWRP and also unlocking and relocking also factory restores the phone everytime so you would lose all your data all the time. ?
It's possible to remove the DM message at boot. Look in the stickied Q&A thread for details.
Hello
Yesterday I've rooted my phone and then I wanted to install a custom rom (CarbonRom).
I've read that I have to unlock the bootloader for installing a custom rom. I did this with the flashtool.
After that my phone stuck in bootloop.
I have restored my phone with twrp recovery and it works now. But I still have a locked bootloader.
I have read that I have to install a stock rom to prevent a bootloop. I only rooted my device so my phone still should have the stock rom on it.
Does anyone know how to unlock the bootloader properly?
Thanks in advance
