Not really q&a related, but ive found that XZ roms (existenz v6.0 and duality rom v1.6 so far) work on our X Performance.
No LTE connection is the only issue I have found, it could be as easy to fix as messing around with APN's. Flash Androplus kernel for XP straight after flashing XZ rom and you should be fine.
Happy Flashing!
RomAUR v4.3 works as well.

Honestly I just flashed it to see if it booted, made calls and had data. Im using existenz which is as awesome as it always was.
Anyone got the LTE connection working with one of those roms?
Great news indeed.. Does it work with kernel flash also?

Thanks for the info, I will check it out once I get the time. Good news at least, the LTE stuff could be related to kernel, baseband I guess... But basebands are not updated when flashing roms these days right?

So are you using eXistenZ on the X Performance without any issue other than the LTE otherwise is working fine? It stills connect on H+?

Thats right, h+ is working, WiFi, calls, text, Bluetooth, everything is working except LTE. Some times auto rotate needs to be toggled on/off as it sticks in landscape occasionally.

I'd like to downgrade my phone to Marshmallow unfortunately, I can't get the Marshmallow files for my phone model and country variant (Australia-Telstra),however LTE is important for me currently but I could potentially get away with it, if MMS is available. Is someone able to check /test this?
Hmmm my phone is dead at the moment while playing with xz roms. Hopefully my phone wakes up
tomorrow morning and it needs to charge fully again... Everything working but after rebooting nothing even with power+ vol± combo's.
Phone is getting warm when on adapter at the moment... so i'm not panicking at the moment yet.... as the phone is terrible unfriendly customizing like other phones...

What rom were you guys using? I have a backup of eXistenZ v6 that works perfectly, as well as a backup of RomAur v5.1 that also works fine (used both for around 2 weeks roughly).
Did you use androplus kernel for XP or XZ or something else?
How long were you using a XZ rom before it bricked?
What mods if any did you flash/perform?

I've tried several different firmwares. Belgian, Italian, CE, etc. I've done factory rewipes, I've gotten root, I've removed root. Whatever I do, the phone is possessed. It randomly turns off completely or it reboots. Sometimes when using the internet, sometimes when trying to open the lockscreen, sometimes when I simply touch the screen! Anybody having the same problems? Any solutions?
Maybe it's hardware problem? Does it happens on 4.1?

Nope. 4.1 was perfect!
Try to remove your SD card.
If it doesn't work, then try to format internal storage.
If it doesn't work, then make a factory reset and install your app one by one, because there could be one that gives issues with the new system.
Let us know..

I did that. Which of your 15 phones is it? I went with Pure-X Blaster for my V. It is pretty similar to 4.3. It's 4.22.
I am a bit surprised. People usually would not have such a tolerance, that was only known for a fruit religion.

Do you have your bootloader unlocked?
The power control function of the battery is dead on your device.
The reason I asked if you had tried 4.1 since is for me upgrading to 141 last year I had the same issue and so did a lot of others. The T is very prone to this failure, it can happen thorough everyday use but more commonly appears to happen post major update.
Very simple to rectify, if under warranty Sony will replace as they did with me, if no warranty you need to buy a new battery and replace it(plenty of guides on youtube.)

Already tried that. I think Wobba-Lee was correct. Somehow the update can fry the battery sensor.
I've had this happen before and found the SIM card had moved slightly. Removing it and refitting it solved the issue.

Hello.
In the very beginning of using my mtcb device, there was an option in the settings with auto brightness. It worked with the illumination wire.
I don't know really, what I changes, but it isn't working anymore or let's say, the option isn't there anymore.
What I have done is switching between different Roms and changed a few things in factory settings. Can there be the problem?
The second one: anybody here using a 4g stick? Is it possible? Which model are you using?
I am really unhappy my 3g stick, working with my old parrot Android device, is not working on this one. Which ones are you using?
Thanks for the help

I just ordered a Huawei wingle.
It's an USB-powered Wifi-stick.
It turns on by it self when it get's power, and then it makes a wifi-hotspot, that the radio connects to automaticly.
(I haven't recived it yet, but i hope that it works excatly as i described).
wifi isn't a problem, it's build in. i really just interested in 3g or better 4g

I'm sure it has to do with which kernel modules were compiled in. And as far as I know, we don't have any true original android ROMs for our units, so that's not likely to change soon.
Hello, fellas, I bought the E6553 and it was updated to 32.2.A.0.253, I disabled the bloatware that I'm not using, but the phone is heating too fast and too much even when only being here in XDA labs. The screen brightnes is like half, and I can almost cook eggs on my E6553, I get 50k on Antutu... is a factory reset an option, or should I make a PC Companion repair?
Will someone help me ?
This phone heats up and it's quite normal. You can try many options but the best one is to get rid of it.
I've got mine as gift so don't have invoice and warranty card so cannot sell it easily.
Or
You can try underclock the cpu. Further check the Rev of phone on the box. Mine is Rev 2 and it's gets hot easily. Rev 5 is said be cool one.

By the way, my phone came with 6.0.1 installed, with chinese language and Z5's dark theme, that means that someone has done that, can this be the reason or whatever?

It saddens me that our beloved phone is officially dead. I hope some dev out there challenges our desire for a 5.0 update by destroying hardware limitations, battery consumption and the occational bugs. I'll be waiting for the day that Vivid rises from the ashes.
I'm still using mine since 2012, it's a good, reliable phone but admittedly has awful battery life.
Well, if it's hard to love, and you loved it. You're married to it.
RIP
Still using mine every day, thought admittedly as a WiFi-only device. Still a great screen and camera though. Just wish I could get a download of this custom ROM though as all the links in the thread have not surprisingly expired:

I'm currently using that ROM by Albinoman, i think you can send him a private message and ask for a link.
I don't have any copies of the rar file because i've been in this ROM for the past 4 years or so and my PC had a lot of anomalies that required a reformat.
I hope you find the link, you're gonna love it.

Hey all, has anyone on AT&T gotten the Pie update yet today (April 4th)? It was supposed to be out today, but I have yet to receive it.
I got tired of waiting. Unlocked bootloader, then flashed global Oreo which updated to pie. You could just flash pie right after now that they post the factory images on Razer developer portal. Only real difference I see is the cell signal shows lte+ and h instead of 4g lte and edge network labels. No dumb att splash logo boot up either. Do yourself a favor and bail from att's slow updates.
